About
For those of you looking for someone to officiate/solemnize your marriage, especially on holidays and those not-so-traditional calendar days and/or for those not-so-traditional marriages, I am here for you. I specialize in simple services, minimonies, elopements, and civil services. I am also now available to perform weddings in Ohio.
I am an ordained non-denominational minister, ordained through Universal Life Church...the real one...out of Modesto, CA, through The Church of Spiritual Humanism, and through The American Marriage Ministries (AMM). If your favorite cleric is not licensed/ordained to solemnize your marriage, I can act as the officiate, providing it is performed in person and I will sign your marriage license to make it legal. It will be your responsibility to file your completed marriage license with the authorities. In Michigan, you will need two witnesses to be present to sign the documents.
You MUST have and present your legal identification when asked for before we can proceed. I will NOT discriminate based on race, gender, religion, belief system, national origin or otherwise. As long as it is legal and healthy in Michigan, I am the person for you, period. So, as long as you can prove that you are*/who you say you are and have ALL of your paperwork in order, I can help you. I do not plan, refer you to resources such as planners, venues, photographers, nor do I organize weddings. I am merely an officiant who will legally solemnize your marriage - nothing more and nothing less.
If you require a rehearsal, please let me know. Generally, I can do a read-through with you beforehand some day before or on the same day. I have provisions for scripting your service providing you let me know beforehand. There are extra charges if a rehearsal or a witness is requested.
Be it New Years Day, 4th of July, Halloween, in jail...simple and easy, that's me,
*We will discuss your identification requirements upon our first meeting. I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason that I see fit which includes covid19 compliance. For yours and my protection, if the solemnization will be carried out in another language other than English, I reserve the option to not perform the marriage rite or hire an independent translator at your expense. You will be responsible for everyone's compliance with the current covid19 compliance, if applicable. I will not be providing face masks or PPE to anyone except myself,
Therefore, now that you know that I am COVID19 compliant. I suggest you review the current and up-to-date State of Michigan requirements: call the COVID-19 Hotline at 888-535-6136; or email COVID19@michigan.gov.. Those not vaccinated? Please provide and wear a face covering and be sure it also covers your nose. Thank you!
