All the things that were important for us in a photographer for were found in Jake.
We needed someone that was first and foremost fun. We are a silly couple and we needed someone that would embrace our silliness and make us look good at the same time. We're not naturally lovey-dovey and needed to be instructed into poses, but Jake also gave us opportunities and leeway to come up with our own ideas and poses too. He shot both our engagement session and our wedding day. Overall he was very professional, on time, very responsive, and timely.
For our engagement session, we took our dog with us and Jake was great with him and incorporating him in our shots. My husband is also a little quiet when he meets new people, but he and Jake hit it off right away!
On our wedding day, Jake showed up right on time with his crew. His Videographer and 2nd photographer were also fun to work with. My bridesmaids and I sang a little karaoke while we were getting ready and asked Jake and team if they wanted a turn, the videographer sang a song! They were very respectful during our church wedding, accomplished all the family portraits we asked for at the alter and outside the church, and fun during the photo shoot after the wedding and during the reception. I can't imagine having used any other photographer for this special day.
