Hello and thanks for visiting. I'm Jay Theriot, a photographer located in Abita Springs, LA. I specialize in portrait and wedding photography throughout the greater New Orleans area.

The studio name, Decisive Image, is a reference to the notion of the decisive moment and best describes my approach when capturing your wedding. This concept states that within every occasion there is an exact moment when an image takes shape and represents that event's significance.

I believe that a modern photojournalistic approach is the most effective way to preserve these moments. While I certainly appreciate (and shoot) traditionally posed images, I strive to transcend the traditional portrait by capturing the essence of your individuality.
