I found Jay by reaching out to previous brides of our venue. Each bride raved about him so when he was available on our date, I was so excited. I work in corporate events so I needed someone just like Jay. Someone who let me do my thing but was available whenever I needed him. Jay answered all my questions and recommended vendors that we were beyond happy with. With his vendor recommendations, we also ended up saving money. I am not sure how I would have survived our wedding weekend without Jay. On the day of our wedding, he kept track of my veil and bouquet that probably would of ended up missing if it wasn’t for him. He also made sure to get all the stuff we brought (frames, card box, etc.) back to our hotel room at the end of the night. At one point, he was even serving our guests dinner! Jay was so great that even though an wind advisory decided to come in for our outdoor wedding, I wasn't worried. I knew he and our other vendors would do whatever needed to be done. Jay was personable, super responsive, and an amazing asset to my wedding. My day went off without even a wrinkle and that is in large part because of Jay. He checked in on me, ran my timeline exceptionally, coordinated with all of my vendors, and made sure I was hydrated and having an amazing time.

Jay and his team were absolutely amazing!! From the first interview I knew he was going to be a perfect fit for me. He handled everything and made the day much less stressful. And he kept me laughing!!!!

We were planning a super last minute beach wedding in key west and jay helped bring everything together. On the lead up to the wedding but was impossible to find caterers and a photographer at such short notice but we managed to make do with what we had. Jay set everything up for us and it looked stunning, it was a real DIY but it felt like a dream. He coordinated everything and even had someone sitting on the beach to save our spot from 9am.
An hour before the ceremony my maid of honor stabbed herself in the leg with fabric scissors, Jay was super calm and organized and even called the emergency room and had someone there waiting ti stitch her up, the ceremony only had to be pushed back 30 minutes.

Our experience with Jay at Island Times Events was nothing short of amazing. We got lucky with a recommendation from our venue to use him as our day of wedding planner and shortly realized how incredible he was. Jay worked closely with one of our family members that did a lot of the planning and our venue contact to create the most perfect wedding for us. Not only is he great at his job but has a great personality and easy to become instant friends with. Jay was an absolute pleasure to work with! He worked with me side by side for over a year planning my destination wedding. I was nervous about planning a wedding from out of state and in the middle of a pandemic, but he made me feel comfortable all throughout. During this time we frequently communicated through email and phone calls as he assisted me in all aspects of the wedding planning process. The few weeks leading up to the wedding he was very responsive to my needs and always checked in to make sure I was doing ok. During my wedding weekend I had so much confidence in him, and his team member Justin, to execute all I had envisioned. Words cannot express my gratitude for Jay. My wedding was something out of a magazine! It was the PERFECT wedding and it's all because I knew Jay could handle anything- especially the rowdy bunch we were bringing. Jay came highly recommended by an former employee at the Perry Resort as I was looking at venues with my fiancé. The day of the wedding ran so smoothly, below is a quick recap of the things Jay did that were what made it happen.

Coordinated with the vendors which included a cigar bar as well. We had to get a tent last minute for rain and he made me feel much better about that because I did NOT want it. But he was 100% right about it.

Jay organized and helped the fist look flow, with Uber and a transportation company we had multiple groups of people going different places.

After the first look we went to 3 locations to take pictures before heading back to the venue. Jay stopped traffic, yelled at people to get out of our way, all while keeping us on time for our ceremony to start. He was booking it! A+ driving skills too.

During the ceremony, Jay helped deliver food, pass out drinks, take drink orders, made sure our families were taken care of- he did whatever he saw needed to be done! Including dealing with my cranky father. He was literally there to catch me if I were to fall from the chair toss, or maybe to record it so we could go viral, I am happy with that! I love what Jay wore to our wedding, he looked like another guest so he blended right in.

And he made sure all of the things we left out made it back to our room that night so we didn't loose a thing. It's the little things you don't even think about that he covered before we even asked.

Over all, Jay felt like a friend we’ve known for so long. We wanted it to be the best party of our lives and he made that happen. The personal pieces he offers, the way he makes it your day and no one else’s, and the fact he cares that he wants this to be the best day of your life.

PS- the one photo of Jay sitting was because we begged him to come on our rehearsal dinner cruise and have FUN with us! That was the last time he sat for probably 48 hours.

Jay did a stellar job for my weekend long destination wedding in Islamorada, Florida. He was so supportive throughout the entirety of the planning process. The weekend of, he was on point with EVERYTHING. I seriously don’t know what I would have done without him. He was the backbone of the whole event! Jay kept everyone in check with the timeline (I have a very Latin family and they’re always late to everything and he was able to direct them respectively), he constantly asked me what I needed help with or what he could do or how I felt, he had positive energy throughout the whole weekend, kept us hydrated, set up everything perfectly, and worked SO hard to make sure we had the most perfect amazing weekend. He exceeded all expectations as a wedding planner, and I’m happy to say me and my husband made a great new friend!
