We had an absolutely wonderful wedding at Inn at Ship Bay. It is a small inn with a restaurant and a separate event space. The owners, Geddes and Mary Anna, were so helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. They responded quickly to my e-mails and answered all my questions thoroughly.Sent on 09/17/2012
We stayed at the inn for a few nights, along with our family members, and the service was superb. The staff was warm and friendly, while remaining completely professional. On the day of the wedding, everyone was incredibly helpful in getting everything set up.
The food is to die for. Most of the food is grown on the property, as it is also a small working farm, so everything is fresh and delicious.

The owners of the Inn, Mary Anna and Geddes, respond very quickly to questions. The venue was beautiful, and the food spectacular. You do, however, have to be willing to trust Geddes (who is the chef). We didn't know what exactly what was being served until the day of the wedding. But all the food is fresh, local, and tasty. And the staff were above and beyond the day of the wedding. They helped out with many things I wasn't expecting them too. It's a great place.Sent on 10/27/2014

We could not imagine a more beautiful place to get married than Inn at Ship Bay - our guests said the same! Mary Ana and Geddes (the owners) were very responsive to all of our questions and helpful in coordinating logistics for our guests, particularly the wedding party, who was staying on site along with the bride. The bridal suite is quite roomy and comfortable, the food exquisite, and the service on the day of incredible overall. However, they definitely like to do things their way, and there were moments when we had to push pretty hard in discussing what we thought was reasonable (well drinks available for purchase at the bar for guests drinking appropriately, for example), and, as another reviewer mentioned, we were not told what we would be serving until the day of due to the chef's desire for seasonal foods. There also seemed to be a miscommunication with one of the bartenders, who told guests conflicting information and was quite rude. We mention these smaller issues so that couples looking for greater flexibility know what they're getting into, but we had a wonderful weekend and were thrilled to celebrate at the Inn!Sent on 10/02/2018
