Diane was amazing! We wanted something small and informal—but authentic and meaningful to my husband and me. Diane managed to create a quiet, sweet, and ceremony that we will never forget! She integrated (or didn't integrate) everything we asked for, while adding her own expertise into the mix. Thank you SO much for making our day beautiful.

We struggled to find an officiant who would incorporate aspects of both of our family's religious backgrounds. Reverend Diane invited us into the process of crafting a meaningful ceremony that felt authentic to both us and our families. She took time to get to know us before and during our wedding day, and her presence was effortless, calming, and just right.

What can I say. Reverend Diane was great from the start. She genuinely wanted to know what we were about as individuals, as well as a couple. She went to great lengths to create our ideal ceremony. Her calming demeanor was reassuring and helped us stay focused and relaxed. Her emails and our zoom meetings kept us on track. She has a true intuitive sense. She is a true knowledable professional. It was the perfect experience.

We found Reverend Diane on weddingvortex (which is a really helpful site if you're getting married in the Hudson Valley). We really loved her vibe after our first call, where she asked us a lot of really thought-provoking questions about the kind of wedding ceremony we wanted to have. We scheduled a follow up call to ask questions of our own and we ultimately decided to book Reverend Diane because she had the most thoughtful and creative solutions to the trickier parts of our ceremony that we couldn't solve on our own.

We had an in-person (masked!) meeting in her office to finalize our ceremony. Talking with Reverend Diane about our big day will always be one of our best memories as a couple. We loved meeting with the Reverend so much that even after we downsized our wedding and cancelled our rehearsal dinner, we still went to meet with her for an hour on the eve of our wedding day, both to iron out final details and to spend time with her calming and grounding presence.

The ceremony that she wrote for us hit all of the emotional beats that we wanted. It was incredibly well-structured, and felt true and individual to us as a couple but was also beloved by our family and friends. She came armed with all kinds of suggestions for ways to personalize our ceremony that we really loved--it truly felt like she understood and listened to what we wanted. She was supportive of exactly the amount of spirituality and religion that we wanted in our ceremony. And finally, we were really set on writing our own vows and keeping them a surprise until our wedding day, and the Rev Diane reviewed them for us to ensure they were of a similar tone and length, which was a great help.

Reverend Diane also works with medical patients as part of her practice, so she did perform our ceremony wearing a mask both to protect her patients and us. Even with half of her face covered, she is a warm, personable, and excellent speaker and performer, and was easily heard at our outdoor ceremony. We honestly could not have asked for a better officiant.

I don’t have the words to describe how much we love Reverend Diane, and how working with her enhanced our wedding a thousand times over. My husband has known Diane since he was a child, and it was important to us that we be married by someone who knew us well, so we turned to Diane - and I am so, so, so glad we did.

Diane is one of the kindest, most patient and compassionate people you will ever meet. We sat with her for a long time and even though neither of us thought we knew what we wanted in a ceremony, she helped us realize exactly what we were looking for - and she made us feel so comfortable and safe with her, that we had no problem sharing what that was. She sent us examples of different ceremony rituals and readings to look through, helped us draft a ceremony plan, and never got frustrated with us, even when we very annoyingly nitpicked specific words to delete or change (and even when we did this several times over). She helped us incorporate specific religious rituals that were important to our families, while at the same time making it so our ceremony didn’t actually feel religious at all, which was important to us. And during the ceremony, she laughed with us, and cried with us, and we felt completely connected with her. It made the ceremony even that much more special. Our families and friends haven’t stopped raving about how perfect our ceremony was, and multiple people have told us: “I was laughing the entire time I wasn’t crying.” What more could you want in a wedding?

Reverend Diane, thank you. Thank you for being so patient and kind, for helping us work through difficult family dynamics with grace, and for making it so that we always, always felt comfortable coming to you for guidance. And thank you for helping us create the ceremony of our dreams, that we will remember forever. And to anyone reading this, work with Diane!!! You will be so very glad you did.
