I had my wedding with Hornblower Cruises in San Francisco. It was great for the most part. My guests totally raved on how different it was from formal weddings receptions held in banquet rooms. They really enjoyed the scenary of the bay, and because we had one of their medium size boats we had just close family and friends which made our day even better. The only thing I thought they could improve on was communication throughout the entire process. I had to ask for due dates on wedding detail decisions and found out later there were specific rules for booking with them. For instance, we wanted to decorate the bow of the boat, but they said that no tape or any sort of adhesives could be used, and that the decorations could not interfer with the use of the railings for people on the boat. I understood why they would have the last part, but I had to change my entire decoration idea so we wouldn't be using any tape and I felt really limited in that sense. One other thing that annoyed me was that they only gave an hour for decorating the boat, and only 3 people could get on to decorate. Again this limited my ideas for decorating. I kept it super simple so that it would fit in the one hour limitation. I think we had 30 minutes after the boat docked to get all our stuff off because another wedding party was due to get on, so again I was kinda irritated about that. However, the captain totally had things running super smooth, and he had a very calming demenor. That totally made a difference that day. One other thing the engine was kinda loud though, so we just used the inhouse music(we originally had a speaker set hooked up to a computer with itunes). Overall the 3 hours went by so quickly, however, if you really want something unique I would recommend this company. Make sure to bring some Dremmamine for your guests. =)
