As the lead designer, crafter, DIYer, stylist and planner of Hitched in the Hood LLC, it is my job to help bring your wedding dreams and vision to life. I make it a point to get to know each of my clients and what makes them unique so I can help infuse that personality and story into their big day.
We love all things rustic, handcrafted, vintage and enjoy taking found objects and reusing them in a way that might not have been thought of before and that bring a special touch to your big day or event that guests will remember. In my "spare time" you can find me thrifting, crafting and hunting for the next item to add to my collection. I have an eclectic mix of vintage and rustic items available for rent and also offer crafting and DIY projects as a part of any event or wedding package.
From photoshoot styling to full wedding design and planning, we are ready to bring each little detail and inspirational idea to life!

When we started planning our wedding, being a DIY/hands on type of bride I was unsure that we needed a planner, but the venue required one. We chose Hitched in the Hood for our planner and could not have been happier! Turns out, even being so hands on, we definitely needed their help and expertise. Worth every penny. We are so grateful for Debbie and Ashley!
We started with a questionnaire that let them get to know us as a couple & the type of wedding we were dreaming of. Then we had a phone consult to talk over ideas,budget and vendors. After which, we chose and hired our vendors as a couple. We met Debbie& Ashley for a walk through at the venue a few months before our wedding date. Then again at our rehearsal.
The team of vendors we had were phenomenal! And as captain of that team, Hitched in the Hood helped keep things running smoothly. The different vendors we chose work so well together and have a great rapport. We love the team that worked magic for our wedding! Very talented and good people.
We were unsure about how a "month of coordinator" worked with the planning process and were amazed at how much work before the month of Debbie and Ashley helped us with. If we had any issues with choosing vendors and needed help, Hitched was our go to. If we were unsure about anything wedding planning related, Hitched was there. Leading up to the wedding was a lot less stressful knowing we were in good hands. It meant alot to us knowing that the stress to our families would be limited,due to Hitched taking care of us. Everything was so well organized in our wedding workbook, every detail.
Every time we met with Debbie and Ashley we felt like they heard us and were working to make sure that we got to experience our version of a dream wedding.

Debbie with Hitched in the Hood worked with us to make our wedding perfect at Timberline Lodge, August 2016. We had many of our own ideas for what we wanted our wedding to be and many changed as time went on, but Debbie was there to keep us on track and focused on the things that needed to be done! Once Debbie had a good grasp on our style, she gave us very helpful suggestions for the vendors we had yet to book. Once the vendors were booked, Debbie took over with them, doing a great job keeping in contact and being a good go between with the vendors, Timberline Lodge, and us. We put great trust in Debbie and it was very relieving to have her be the ultimate glue to our wedding. The week before the wedding, Debbie was there checking in with us and making sure that everything got wrapped up. She directed us through the rehearsal, which was very helpful since our friend was marrying us, we weren’t having a traditional procession, and weren’t having segregated bridal party sides during the ceremony.
Essentially Debbie embraced our unique vision, delivered the perfect vendors (including alternative options before we settled), and fostered a great working relationship with us. She is professional, has great rapport with local vendors (which only added to the night’s synergy), and much appreciated direct communication skills.
Hitched in the Hood is one of our favorite wedding and event coordinators to work with. Detailed, timely, prepared and very experienced, we are constantly impressed by the level of professionalism brought by Hitched in the Hood. We look forward to every opportunity to work with them!
