Thank goodness for Hitched in the Hood!
When we started planning our wedding, being a DIY/hands on type of bride I was unsure that we needed a planner, but the venue required one. We chose Hitched in the Hood for our planner and could not have been happier! Turns out, even being so hands on, we definitely needed their help and expertise. Worth every penny. We are so grateful for Debbie and Ashley!
We started with a questionnaire that let them get to know us as a couple & the type of wedding we were dreaming of. Then we had a phone consult to talk over ideas,budget and vendors. After which, we chose and hired our vendors as a couple. We met Debbie& Ashley for a walk through at the venue a few months before our wedding date. Then again at our rehearsal.
The team of vendors we had were phenomenal! And as captain of that team, Hitched in the Hood helped keep things running smoothly. The different vendors we chose work so well together and have a great rapport. We love the team that worked magic for our wedding! Very talented and good people.
We were unsure about how a "month of coordinator" worked with the planning process and were amazed at how much work before the month of Debbie and Ashley helped us with. If we had any issues with choosing vendors and needed help, Hitched was our go to. If we were unsure about anything wedding planning related, Hitched was there. Leading up to the wedding was a lot less stressful knowing we were in good hands. It meant alot to us knowing that the stress to our families would be limited,due to Hitched taking care of us. Everything was so well organized in our wedding workbook, every detail.

Every time we met with Debbie and Ashley we felt like they heard us and were working to make sure that we got to experience our version of a dream wedding.

Debbie with Hitched in the Hood worked with us to make our wedding perfect at Timberline Lodge, August 2016. We had many of our own ideas for what we wanted our wedding to be and many changed as time went on, but Debbie was there to keep us on track and focused on the things that needed to be done! Once Debbie had a good grasp on our style, she gave us very helpful suggestions for the vendors we had yet to book. She truly took great pride in recommending local vendor that fit our specific style, which ended up making our wedding so very much more special!

Once the vendors were booked, Debbie took over with them, doing a great job keeping in contact and being a good go between with the vendors, Timberline Lodge, and us. We put great trust in Debbie and it was very relieving to have her be the ultimate glue to our wedding. The week before the wedding, Debbie was there checking in with us and making sure that everything got wrapped up. She directed us through the rehearsal, which was very helpful since our friend was marrying us, we weren’t having a traditional procession, and weren’t having segregated bridal party sides during the ceremony.

Essentially Debbie embraced our unique vision, delivered the perfect vendors (including alternative options before we settled), and fostered a great working relationship with us. She is professional, has great rapport with local vendors (which only added to the night’s synergy), and much appreciated direct communication skills.

Debbie is an absolute dream to work with! We had a lot of big ideas and she worked hard to make sure they all came to fruition. Our wedding truly couldn't have happened without her ability to get things done. The day of I was relaxed because as little bumps appeared I knew she had everything taken care of.

I have told anyone that will listen how incredibly helpful Sara was throughout my wedding. I was on a tight budget and told her anywhere I can cut costs, lets do so, and she made it happen. She was very responsive and on top of it all. Anytime I found myself spinning trying to figure out next steps, I would call her and she would get me organized. The day of was perfect! She made sure everything was put together and set up correctly. She kept us to our schedule and during the day of and worked directly with vendors prior to the big day. I highly recommend working with hitched in the hood!

Responsive, helpful, organized. I especially liked using the rental company associated with Debbie as well as Hitched in the Hood because it made for clear communication with fewer people involved.

Debbie was very responsive, attentive to detail, and worked well with all my family members (and their opinions!!). She has a wonderful personality, and it provided peace of mind to know that everything was taken care of. Could not be happier with her services!!!

While still in the afterglow of what many guests called an “epic wedding”, I wish to express my appreciation for the fine work of Debbie Dennis and Hitched in the Hood. As the mother of the bride, I experienced a calm and smoothly unfolding morning the day of the wedding. No drama, no panic, no worries – everything happened on time and according to plan. I could be with my daughter and her bridesmaids, savoring the special moments without distraction. When I checked on the caterers, the setup, and the sound system, I saw that everyone knew what to do and all details were managed with expertise. During the ceremony and reception, Debbie and her assistant were quietly in the background taking care of things. I knew all was in good hands and I was able to relax and fully enjoy the wedding day. Comments I heard from guests were all positive -- “It was perfect!” or “Everything was beautiful!” Many people spoke of how warm and welcoming the atmosphere was. I attribute much of the success of the day to the professional planning and advice from Hitched in the Hood, both before and during the wedding. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

Debbie and her team are the best!! She helped me with partial wedding planning, month of coordination (timeline, vendors rentals...), and the day of - they took care of everything (a huge job considering we had to change a lot of things last minute due to rain)!! Her services were the best dollars spent on our wedding.

Debbie was absolutely wonderful to work with! We were planning our wedding in Hood River while living in San Francisco, and I cannot imagine what we would have done with her. Not only did she help us find an amazing caterer (Boda's Kitchen), but she was a huge help with designing and managed to put all of our random decor ideas together and make it look beautiful. She also did some DIY/crafty projects for us at a very reasonable rate. Leading up to the big day, Debbie was always quick to respond to emails and answer any random questions we had, and even set up some phone sessions as well. And the actual day of ran seamlessly thanks to Debbie's organization and professionalism.

Debbie is outstanding... she was incredibly helpful all the way through my wedding planning process. I felt like I could go to her for any question at anytime and she would go above and beyond. I felt very very lucky to have her coordinating out special day. She was always a pleasure to work with.
