Heather photographed our wedding in Boston and we couldn't have been happier. She has a great unobtrusive way of capturing the day. Heather is a truly talented photographer. My husband and I were drawn to her more documentary-style photography. She did our engagement photos in chilly February, and our wedding photos on a rainy day in October, so I can say with certainty that she is ready for any situation! She really takes the time to get to know you and figure out what you want; she is great to chat with and she really put me at ease, calming my nerves as I was getting ready on wedding day. After doing our portrait-style photos first, we were pretty much unaware of her during the ceremony and reception, which is to say she never got in the way or was noticeable, yet she somehow captured everything. I don’t know how she did that but it was like magic! The photos turned out beautifully. I can’t recommend Heather highly enough.

Heather Parker was recommended to us by our wedding venue in a list of other photographers. After checking out all of their online portfolios, Heather's work was the clear stand-out. I was particularly drawn to her use of color and composition, but what really set her apart was her ability to capture real moments. Her photography is stunning, and it avoids many of the cliches associated with wedding photography. My fiancé and I met her for coffee before deciding if we wanted to hire her. In person, she was unassuming, funny, and I immediately felt comfortable around her. After that initial meeting, there was no question that we wanted to book Heather. I feel like Heather took the time to get to know me and my fiance, and I can see that in our wedding photos. From that first meeting, to our outdoor engagement photoshoot, to the actual wedding day, we spent more time with Heather than with anyone else who worked with us on the wedding. It is truly special to see all of our friends and family members through Heather's lens, and I think none of us have ever looked better. Heather is a professional when she's working. She does not waste time, she is completely organized, and above all else, she delivers incredible results. She was clearly shooting with us in mind; what was important to us, what we thought was funny, candid moments that she knew we wouldn't want to miss. The result was an incredible set of photos that really captured who we are as a couple, and her familiarity with us made the wedding look even more beautiful than I remember it. This was money well-spent and we will cherish these photos forever.

Heather is fabulous! She photographed one of my bridesmaid's weddings a few years ago so it was great to work with someone I was already familiar with. My friend's pictures are stunning and we knew right away that Heather was the obvious choice. We did our engagement pictures with her in Jamaica Plain and had an absolute blast. She's so much fun to be around and is willing to do pretty much anything to get a cool picture. She even rented us a rowboat to take out on the pond!

We haven't gotten our wedding pictures yet but I know they'll be just as (if not more!) beautiful than our engagement pictures. She did an amazing job capturing every moment of our wedding day. Everyone commented on how smoothly the family and bridal party portraits went and we finished them all before the reception started so we could enjoy the rest of the evening!

There isn’t enough room in a review to express our full appreciate and praise for Boston wedding photographer, Heather Parker. My wife and I were married in September at Commander’s Mansion in Watertown, MA. Right from the start Heather was prompt, responsive, and worked closely with us, to think through, how best to document our celebration. Neither of us had worked with a professional photographer before. Having Heather document our wedding felt natural and comfortable. We never felt like we were being staged or positioned in scenarios that weren’t natural to our personalities. From an outdoor ceremony held during the peak of the afternoon, to an indoor cocktail hour, to an outdoor evening dinner, under a tent lit with candles and lanterns, our wedding had a broad range of lighting scenarios that Heather had to manage. I’m thrilled to say that the photographs captured were amazing. One of the joy’s in viewing all of the images from start to finish, is seeing the progression of how our day unfolded and discovering all of the wonderful moments that were captured during that wonderful day. Heather not only captured the formal family portraits that were so important to us, but also those split second, once in a life time images, of our friends and family celebrating together. For us, being able to revisit and view those moments that were captured, that make us happy and grateful we were able to work with Heather Parker.

When we began planning our wedding it was so important that our vendors were talented, caring, and fun individuals. Find someone that has a creative style that you love.
Find someone that can take photos in dark halls without looking all grainy, blurred, or pixelated.
Find someone who's photos look like they were taken out of a movie scene.

Heather was all that. She was always available to talk throughout the planning process everything we discussed together had an undertone of ease to it, so when the big day came I was not a bridezilla. Our photos were very much in the moment and gorgeous. We get so many compliments that spanned several generations. Her photos are modern, creative and beautifully composed.

She arrived on time, got great shots of our guests without asking them to stop what they were doing for a shot, and delivered our photos before we moved overseas. We are grateful to have found an artist and a new friend.

Heather Parker is amazing! I got married a couple of weeks ago and couldn't be happier with Heather. Our engagement photos turned out beautifully and I although I haven't seen all of the wedding pictures, I am confident they too will be beautiful. Heather stayed the entire night of our wedding reception and captured moments of our reception I am sure I missed. She was on the dance floor (literally laying on the floor capturing the shots), standing on tables and chairs - everywhere! All of my guests raved at the fact that with all this, somehow she managed to not be "in your face". Professional, responsive, helpful at suggesting additional vendors (DJ, cakes, etc) - - truly a class act. Ladies, look no further - she's excellent and so easy to work with!

Heather photographed our wedding, and the pictures were incredible - she takes beautiful, creative shots outdoors, indoors, bright light, dim light, everyone dancing around, you name it - if it's there, she'll get a gorgeous shot of it. She's super resourceful, too, and was able to charm the owners of a nearby private dock to let us take photos on their dock. Very professional, great at what she does, and artistic.

Heather was such a pleasure to work with. Paul and I first hired her for our engagement shoot, almost two years before our actual wedding! She has such great artistic style and vision. We have only seen about 10 of our wedding photos so far, but they are amazing and we can't wait to see the rest! We couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our wedding day. If you want timeless, breath taking candid photos, than Heather is the way to go. You will not be disappointed.
