We had an amazing experience with Hal Prince! For our wedding we had City Rhythms  band perform and they were fabulous - talented and interactive with the crowd! Guests were raving about the band the next morning and even a month later we are still hearing about how impressed guests were!

Hal Prince truly set the tone for our wedding at Tappan Hill Mansion on 10/31/25. Jill was a pleasure to work with in coordinating our unique sonic vision for the event. She helped us put together a beautiful violin and cello duo for the ceremony and cocktail hour, providing a mixture of classical pieces and contemporary rock songs. The combination was absolutely beautiful and our guests loved it. DJ Steve brought the party to the reception with a mixture of traditional wedding songs, contemporary rock songs, and some notable halloween theme music. Hal Prince also provided lighting which added to our aesthetic, creating a truly unique event. We highly recommend Hal Prince for any type of celebration!

Hal Prince Music & Entertainment was OUT OF THIS WORLD! The live music completely made our wedding day. From the gorgeous string quartet that played our ceremony , to the live violinist before the ceremony, to the incredible cocktail hour music, to the band that absolutely crushed our reception, and finally the DJ who kept the party going until the very end — every single part was perfection.

Working with Jill was a dream. She is incredibly organized, responsive, and made the planning process feel effortless. She anticipated our needs, answered every question, and executed every detail flawlessly.

Jay, our band leader, was equally amazing. He is so talented, professional, and knowledgeable. He knew exactly how to keep the energy high and the dance floor full, and he made sure the night flowed seamlessly from start to finish.

We hired DJ Steve for our wedding at Tappan Hill in Tarrytown June 28th. He handled the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Communication before the wedding was fantastic. He helped us organize our speeches and activities, and made sure we had a song for every required moment. (a cake-cutting song?) On the day, the sound quality at the outdoor ceremony was impeccable, all of our music was exactly what we asked for, and everything went off without a hitch. At the reception, the DJ Steve kept the dance floor hopping all night long. Guests still come up to us to say how much fun they had dancing at our wedding and how great the DJ was. You can't go wrong with DJ Steve!

The Hal Prince Band had everyone dancing all night. Jay was phenomenal—a true professional, effortlessly cool, kind, and genuine. He kept the focus on us and made the whole night feel so special.

We got super lucky with the weather, the property looked beautiful, the food was delicious, but Jay and his band made the party happen. They gave us amazing support and recommendations during the wedding planning process and also listened to what we wanted out of our wedding day. Our goal was to get everybody to DANCE and we definitely achieved that! :-)

Jay and his team were responsive and professional from the start! He spent time answering all our of questions and curating a list of songs curated specifically to us. Everyone couldn’t get over the quality of the 10 piece band. The band really made our wedding get to the next level!

We got married in May 2023 and it's taken us almost a year to leave this review cause we're still recovering from the party of the century. It's impossible to convey how awesome Jay and his band are in writing. We got compliments all night (and for weeks and months after) on how amazing they were. Their energy levels were 11/10 and they kept everyone on their feet all night. Not only are they insanely talented and fun but they also didn't blink an eye at some of our rather unconventional song choices (like Intro by The XX and Happy If You're Happy by Matt and Kim). On top of being the best they're also all super nice folks. We can't recommend them enough!
