We worked with Beth and she was easy to work with. She provided the contract in a timely manner and answered questions as quickly as possible.

One of my bridesmaids sang our first dance - solo. She needed a certain sound track with a specific key/note. Beth knew exactly what she needed and was able to provide my bridesmaid with everything she needed- even at the last minute!

DJ Johnny was super cool. He emailed me a day or two before our wedding. His email was full of energy and excitement which I appreciated. He asked if there were any songs we specifically wanted him to play... What songs not to play, etc...

This review is for DJ Johnny at Groove Labs. We had an AMAZING experience with Johnny!! He was awesome! He helped keep our event organized with out the cheesy "emcee" effect. When it came to getting the party started, he was GREAT! He had such good energy and had everybody dancing - young and old! We didn't want the stereotypical top 100 wedding music. We gave Johnny a playlist of the style of music we wanted, and he was so into it, which made it a very fun experience! I can't say enough great things about Johnny - Our guests loved him! We also had a great experience working with Beth at Groove Labs. She was really helpful and flexible when it came to our budget. Such amazing quality for the price!! Thank you guys so much!

I hired DJ Johnny Robinson from Groove Labs for my wedding in December. Simply put, Johnny is The Man. EVERYONE has been asking me for his information from the wedding! He was fun, energetic, and LOVES what he does. My dad keeps telling me "Oh man, your DJ was the best!". Johnny is very good at reading the crowd, and has very good ideas about which songs to choose for your first dance, father daughter, etc. He has a really easy form to fill out, and he honors "Do Not Play" lists very well. That being said, he also takes requests, but is very good at being able to tell what a "good" or "bad" request is. He was the life of the party. The best thing about Johnny is he really CARES about doing a good job for you, and he LOVES music and DJ--ing. He made my wedding the party I wanted it to be!

Thank you again for creating a smooth flow at the wedding! The announcements and music were PERFECT! I will remember my first dance and the father / daughter dance for years to come! Thank you so much for being a part of my memorable day!

Johnny Robinson was absolutely incredible at our wedding. The energy and enthusiasm he brought on our wedding nignt was awesome!! Like the last poster said, Johnny is one of the nicest guys ever. He sat down with me and my Fiance (now wife :)) and talked about all the details well in advance ...our likes in music, music to stay away from, must play list, the things he will do as an MC, schedule, etc. I really liked talking about music with Johnny because, trust me, he knows his stuff!

One thing you really need to keep in mind is that he's not just up playing music, he's also MC'ing the event. He kept things flowing and did a phenominal job of speaking when introducing us, introducing the best man and father speeches, first dance, father/daughter and mother/son dance.

Everyone at our wedding loved Johnny. I got so many comments from my friends saying how awesome he was. He got evvvveryone either dancing or having a good time (even the old crusties). Having a great DJ is an absolute must if you want everyone to have a good time and if you want things to run smoothly. Of all the things we spent money on ...flowers, venue, food, you name it, Johnny was by far the best money we spent for our wedding. We can't thank him enough.

I worked directly with Johnny Robinson, as opposed to the studio in general, so this review is about him.

Johnny is by far, the sweetest, most talented guy I’ve ever met. He is Austin based, but didn’t charge any extra for the travel to DFW. We emailed back and forth at first, and then had several phone calls. I put together a list of “Must Play” songs and he used that to create a whole playlist. It sounded like we had put our own Ipods on the turntable – that’s how good he was at interpreting our tastes from a sampling of about 20 songs. And, honestly, he’s just the nicest person you could meet. His prices are VERY reasonable and I think you can fit him into almost any budget. He did our outdoor service, and indoor reception, including wireless mics, full sound set up, and lights, for $800.
