I learned during the course of wedding planning that artists and “creative types” tend to be flaky, and do not respond to inquires promptly, if at all. This was not the case at all with Leah.

Leah is “Groomer Girl,” and she came highly recommended from a close friend of mine who is in the industry. As you can see from her website, Leah has a host of professional experience, working with both men and women. She is professional from start to finish, and will make her client look amazing.

I first met Leah at her home, where she did my hair AND make-up, for my engagement photo shoot. We worked together on the hairstyle and color scheme for the make-up, during which she took notes while I drank champagne. Since I had two dresses I planned to wear, she even taught me how to turn my hairstyle into a different look (for the second dress) with a few simple tips. The pictures look incredible.

Are Leah’s services priced higher than some? Yes. Is it worth it to spend a little more to make yourself look great on your big day? Absolutely. Plus, with all of the money couples spend on photography, why skimp out on the features the camera will focus on most?

In addition, I have learned that the majority of brides that run late on their wedding day do so because of hair and make-up. The artists show up late, there are too many people to do, etc. On my wedding day, Leah was perfectly punctual, did my mother’s hair and make-up first, then mine, and finished with 10 minutes to spare. Both my mother and I received so many compliments on our hair and make-up, specifically.

There is a lot to be said for the confidence a bride can gain when putting her appearance in the hands of a true professional. I would highly recommend that you chose Groomer Girl for any special event.

Groomer Girl, aka Leah, was AMAZING! I'm not someone who wears a lot of make up (typically use a tinted moisturizer + lip balm for a normal day), have super sensitive skin, and was generally worried about having a 'fake' and 'caked-on' look on my wedding day. Leah quickly understood what vibe I was going for and did an incredible job making my vision become a reality - all of her products are natural, non-irritating, and generally help bring out a bride's natural glow rather than covering anything up - exactly what I was looking for! Leah is also incredibly sweet, creative, and projects positive energy - someone you want to be around you on your wedding day!

On the day of, Leah and her team showed up early, were incredibly warm and professional, and ensured that the entire getting ready experience went smoothly, on time, and enjoyably. Moreover, my mother-in-law asked for 1-2 stylists to come to her room to help her and her sisters get ready - Leah ensured that their experience was great as well. I received so many compliments about the quality of Leah & her team's service ... would recommend them wholeheartedly!

I first met Leah at a bridal show at Orfila (our wedding venue). She seemed to know her stuff, and definitely gave me a good vibe. By the time I had to choose a makeup artist, I had narrowed it down to Leah and one other. I decided to have trials with each of them, and go from there. After my trial with Leah, there was NO QUESTION in my mind that she was PERFECT! First of all, there was just something about her that "clicked" with me; she just seemed so genuine, caring, and fun! She looked over the photos I brought as inspiration for the look I had in mind, but I told her I trusted her, and wanted her to do what she felt would look best. As she did my makeup, it became very clear that she was a true professional. She customized the makeup to me - she started to notice how the peach tones she was using were complimenting my skin tone and brought out my eyes, so she decided to design a look using those tones - the result was incredible! I had never felt so beautiful! She didn't overdo it - she did what any good makeup artist should do - she highlighted my features and brought out my natural beauty! On my wedding day, she and her assistant, Kristina, created customized looks for each of my bridesmaids, as well as my mother and mother-in-law. We all looked absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! I've never felt more beautiful, and I'm pretty sure that's the goal, right?? haha... I cannot recommend her highly enough! Leah is AMAZING!!!!! :)
