The Grand Ledge Opera House is a wedding and event venue in Grand Ledge, Michigan. The historic opera house is located in downtown Grand Ledge along the Grand River. It is a tribute to the town embracing their past and moving into the future. The building opened in 1884 as a roller rink when they were a thriving tourist town. It then transformed into an opera house, a place for traveling theatrical shows and events. Later it became a movie theater, furniture store and warehouse. The Opera House was reborn in 1993 after restoration from the entire community. They are a nonprofit organization overseen by a seven member community board.
Facilities and Capacity
The Grand Hall is an elegant ballroom on the main level that can accommodate 240 guests. The two level room features three enchanting 12 branch chandeliers, a double staircase leading to a full wrap around balcony that overlooks the formal garden and Grand River. The Gardens are an outdoor space that can accommodate 140 guests. The Terrace Level has the Grand River and beautiful gardens as a backdrop. It is a romantic setting that is meticulously maintained and makes a nice photo backdrop. The Terrace Level room has six sets French doors that open to the patio and can accommodate 140 guests. The room features versatile lighting, rose-tinted walls, and dance floor.
Rental of the Grand Hall includes use of the balcony, dance floor, set up of tables and chairs, and an activity host for the event. The Blake Room is an additional meet space that is included in the rental and can be used as a bridal dressing area. The hall has a Steinway & Sons piano and restored 1928 theater pipe organ that can be requested for your wedding. They also provide round tables and 240 white folding fan-backed chairs. Rental of the Terrace Level includes exclusive use of the brick patio, gardens and charming gazebo. The Grand Ledge Opera House can host your ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, engagement party, showers and other wedding events. They have a list of catering companies that have provided catering in their venue. If you choose an outside catering vendor, that business must meet their qualifications.

Beautiful venue situated in downtown Grand Ledge on the banks of the Grand River. As an Officiant, I always enjoy performing services here. A lovely setting both in the gazebo and inside give your day that special feeling. The staff have always been helpful and knowledgeable. A wonderful venue!
