We had our wedding here and honestly could not have had an easier experience. They let us bring our own caterer, which was a huge win cost wise. The event coordinator was great to work with. Grateful!

Rating this place a five out of five, due to the fact that they care so deeply for each and every event, and they go above and beyond to make their clients happy!

Before I begin the review, you should know: 1) We had 440 guests at our wedding, 2) We had 500 guests at our reception, & 3) The wedding and reception were in the same room! Sounds like a logistical nightmare, right? Not at Goel's Plaza. We are so happy that we choose to have our wedding and reception here. If you have a large wedding, this place is big enough. They also do smaller weddings! This place was just perfect for us. We wanted a truly custom feel for our wedding, so their flexibility was valuable to us. When we looked at other venues, it was like everything had to be done their way. At Goel's, they ask want you would like, and if they can accommodate it, they just do. The professionalism they run the venue with shines through, so not only was the experience great for us, it was great for our guests too. We got high praise from our guests for the bartenders, and we did not even pick them. Goel’s did! These kinds of things go a long way in making your special day that much more magical. We had ample time to set up for the wedding because there were no events at Goel's the day before. So, we felt great about the wedding. Our biggest concern was what the place was going to look like when we returned for the reception. It was not until we returned that we realized that Goel's was as invested in the look and feel of our event as we were. While our guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the hallway, we snuck into the banquet hall through the backdoor to see the event space. This was a make or break moment because I did not know what we were going to see. Literally everything was set up. There were no workers in there, just my DJ doing a sound check. They even put snacks at the sweetheart table in case we did not have a chance to eat. People often say that your wedding day is so stressful and you do not really get a chance to enjoy it. That was not our experience. We had so much fun. It was a truly magical day for us thanks in no small part to the folks at Goel's!

"My wedding here was great! The chandeliers are beautiful and the ballrooms are secluded from the public. We rented the Grand Ballroom to accommodate the wedding in the Magnolia (front) ballroom and the Azalea (back) ballroom to unveil the reception setup. Great idea suggested by our event coordinator!

My husband and I were highly impressed with the service that was provided at my wedding! Everyone there was extremely nice and let us host our events exactly as we planned. We had the wedding in one ballroom, the reception in a separate ballroom, and a cocktail hour in the lounge in between both events. The price was very reasonable compared to a few other venues I was looking at in Raleigh. They allowed us to cater food from our favorite restaurant, the one that my husband actually proposed in! This really was everything we were looking for - a couple ballrooms to host both events, easy-to-deal-with service, and the right price!

The staff really worked to accommodate our needs and make sure that our wedding reception ran smoothly. They were quite friendly and professional, making sure to give us an in depth tour of the venue and take note of our preferences such as for a DJ and decorations. In addition, the prices were quite reasonable and we were able receive our deposit afterward. My wife and I definitely recommend this venue, as they treat you with respect and work with you to make sure you're wedding reception is run flawlessly!

Thank you, Goels Plaza! I had my wedding and reception here, which went extremely smooth during preparation and day-of events! I was looking for a venue that could take care of everything, yet allow me to bring my own food and DJ. I was also able to have my wedding in one ballroom and reception in another ballroom, which made a seamless transition for my guests. The price is reasonable as well. As for service, the staff went above and beyond. I had guests come from out of town, so Goels Plaza went the extra mile to negotiate rates, transportation, and breakfast with a nearby hotel. That was quite impressive and saved time/money for my family and friends who were all able to stay together!

The event preparation, execution, and wrap up handled by the event staff went flawlessly. I would highly recommend Goels Plaza for any of my friends' weddings! Bridesmaids, hint hint!

The owner was EXTREMELY unprofessional. The turnover rate with the assistance was terrible. There were so many that one lost our paperwork and we ended up having to pay more out of pocket because we couldn't get the deposit back. They withheld partial of our security deposit after we cleaned, and put everything back the way it was supposed to be AND got approval from the owners son before leaving. This place was terrible. Highly do NOT recommend.
