The Georgia Museum of Art located on the campus of the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. The museum can accommodate a variety of events, whether they’re intimate gatherings or larger groups. Facilities and Capacity
This venue offers several indoor and outdoor spaces to host your event. M. Smith Griffith Grand Hall features oversized windows, maple paneling, brushed steel, illuminated milk glass, and gray terrazzo floors. It can accommodate 270 seated guests or 350 standing. The Wilson Sculpture Garden is an outdoor space that includes changing sculpture exhibitions, cement tiles lined with green grass, bamboo, and a waterfall fountain. With room for a 30-by-50-foot tent, this space can hold 140–170 seated guests or 225 standing. The venue’s Education Center is ideal for more intimate gathering and features floor-to-ceiling views of the university’s Performing and Visual Arts Complex. It can accommodate 40 seated guests or 50 standing.
The museum provides venue rental for a range of wedding-related events, including engagement parties, showers, elopements, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and receptions. The venue’s helpful team works with you to help you create the wedding of your dreams.
