Genevieve is a true artist! We were referred to Genevieve from a friend who used her for her wedding. The first time we spoke she told me she wanted to meet us before we hired her, so she could get to know us and we could see her work and discuss her philosophy. I loved that she wanted to make sure we were interested in her skills and did not just want to take our money right away.
Our wedding photos are gorgeous! Genevieve has a great eye for detail and made sure that we didn't just get formal posed pictures but also got many photos of the venue, guests, and other details. Genevieve was easy to work with and responsive to all forms of communication.
We do not live in the area and Genevieve made herself available on the weekend for our engagement session. The engagement session was so fun. My husband and I are not very comfortable with posing and kissing for the camera and Genevieve understood that immediately. She worked with us to make us comfortable in front of the camera. By the end of the session the three of us were laughing together and our pictures were phenomenal. Genevieve has a great eye. We did our engagement photos on the campus of our college and she found great locations for photos that we didn't even know about.
Before the wedding she made sure she understood the schedule and ceremony so that she was in place to take pictures of our first kiss, family blessing, and other moments. She was thorough in her preparations for the wedding and made sure she was aware of all important details that we wanted pictures of (like the bridesmaids' shoes, a photo in my bouquet, etc.). She knew the little details of the flowers, table arrangements, and cake were important to us. When we received our pictures, we had almost 200 photos entitled "details" which captured all of the decorations and details I worked hard to arrange.
The day of the wedding I hardly even noticed Genevieve and her assistant, but we have photos of every special moment. They were easy to work with and were timely. They followed our planner's schedule and took great pictures beginning with hair and makeup and ending with our last dance. We received our photos less than a month after our wedding and I couldn't be happier with the quality.
I highly recommend Genevieve for any event. She is very talented and captures every moment you will want to remember.
