Jake of Functions and Gatherings helped me with day-of coordination, as well as planning my wedding in April and- oh boy!- am I glad he was there. During the planning process, I had a LOT of questions and he was always there to talk me through situations and present me with options. Jake is quick to respond and really took my vision and helped it become a reality, even when I gave him a very vague task or idea, he quickly got back to me with ways to make it work. The day-of the event was stress-free, in large part due to Jake's professionalism and can-do attitude. He was exceptional at balancing the necessary tasks of a wedding day, while attentive and friendly to both myself and my guests. On August 8, 2014, I was married at the Seattle Aquarium. I look back on my wedding very fondly, of course, but it definitely would not have run so smoothly if it were not for Jake of Functions and Gatherings. In planning and preparing for my wedding, Jake was always readily available to run through the timeline (even for the millionth time!), to chat with my vendors, or to just calm my nerves. He ensured that everything ran smoothly - even to the point that my photographer commented that it was the only wedding he's been to that was on schedule! I knew I could wholly trust Jake to run the show, so I was able to really be present in the moment. I don't think many brides are able to "let go" of the responsibilities of a wedding, so there may a level of underlying fear and stress. But not with Jake by your side! He is so reliable, efficient, and SUCH a hard worker. I give him the highest praise and recommendations!!

I've known Jake for many, many years. We worked together at Starbucks and eventually, I became a store manager and brought him to my store as a supervisor. When my husband proposed, I knew we needed a day of coordinator and Jake was the first person who came to mind. Jake is friendly, assertive and accommodating. He solves problems, but knows when to bring the problem to his client for their input. Our wedding was perfect from start to finish. Jake met every one of the vendors, made sure everyone was where they needed to be on time (my mother LOVED that!) and even brought my husband and I cake at the end of the night to our room (since we barely had any at the reception). When we reflect back on the day (we're coming up on our 4th wedding anniversary soon!) Jake is a standout. We made a lot of great choices with vendors, but us, our guests, and my parents (especially!) were so impressed with Jake. We're so thankful he was apart of the best day of our lives and that he's our friend. If you're considering hiring Jake, please do, you won't regret it.
