Elisha and Mike are the best!
From the first time we contacted Field Gems Photography, through the day we received our pictures after the wedding, the entire process was smooth and stress-free! Elisha and Mike are talented, prepared, organized, and thoughtful. We had great communication getting prepared for and on the big day. They captured hundreds of great moments from our wedding day, and really brought a great energy to our wedding. I think one of my favorite moments was when, at our ceremony rehearsal, we surprisingly bumped into Elisha, who was there on her own scouting the venue ahead of time. So thorough! We could not be more happy with our photos, which we will cherish forever. I have nothing but good things to say about Elisha and Mike and we feel so lucky to have had them capture our wedding day. I recommend them 100%!

Must Hire!
Elisha is a must for all your photography needs! As a Coordinator I look for quality, value, responsiveness and professionalism of course, and Elisha nails it on all those areas... but we also look for personality, kindness, collaboration and community, and Elisha is a great human. We loved working with her at our couple's wedding, she was a joy through and through and we can't wait to work with her again soon!

Authentic Emotion!
Elisha shot our tiki-themed wedding shower at Lost River tiki bar in Detroit. Because my sister arranged the shower, we had not met Elisha before the event. However, Elisha instantly put us at ease with her kind, easy-going, and confident personality. She captured some amazing, natural candid images of us and our guests. Even the more "posed" pics felt and looked natural! Though the bar was really dark, Elisha was able to strike a great balance with lighting and you can't tell how dark the space actually was from the pictures. We got the edited event images really quickly and in an easy-to-use online album. I can't say enough good things about Field Gems! If you want beautiful photos with authentic emotion, Field Gems rock!

Phenomenal Photography with Sincere Sweet Folks
Elisha and Mike were an absolute joy to work with! I had met them at a wedding convention and was drawn to the beautiful photo-journalistic style. After learning how Elisha has grown up around photography and reviewing more of their work, I was confident I wanted Field Gems Photography for my wedding!
We got married at the Royal Oak Music Theatre and the Events Director had warned us to give photographers a heads up about darker venues. Elisha sent me a few samples of some of the darker venues as I saw a lot of outdoor photos online. I had a longer engagement (~1.5 years) and got a lot of the initial planning done right away. However, that didn't mean they forgot about me up until the month of the wedding. Throughout the entire planning process, Elisha and Mike were very responsive. Very sincere people :)
During the actual wedding day, Elisha and Mike were phenomenal. !! They made us and our guests feel at ease. Things were well planned and so many great candid shots were captured. I'm so happy with all of the photos from our special day.
