Fay is the best! She altered my dress and designed a cathedral veil for my May wedding. Fay is professional, knowledgeable, flexible and friendly. She was able to take my complicated, beaded-bodice, tulle skirt ball gown in 2 sizes, adjust the bust line, remove unnecessary boning, add additional hooks and create a custom veil all for a VERY reasonable price. She also altered 6 (I'm not kidding!) of my bridesmaid's/family member's dresses as well. My family and I are big fans of Fay! I highly recommend Fay Carraher!

Fay did an AMAZING job on my off-the-rack dress by taking it from about a size 12 to a size 2 and it fit me like a glove! The bottom of my dress has a ton of ruffles and she hemmed it perfectly so I was able to dance without stepping on it and the bustle she suggested was so much more beautiful than anything I pictured. On wedding day, the dress held up perfectly, including the bustle.

Fay's attention to detail may have been my favorite part - we ended up with a total of 5 fittings because she just wasn't 100% happy with the dress yet. I so appreciated this and her expert craftsmanship - at a very reasonable price as well! I had about a thousand things done to this gown, including turning it from a one strap to a sweetheart strapless (you couldn't even tell the strap was ever there!). To top it off, she's as sweet as can be, an absolute pleasure to work with.

Oh, she even expertly wrapped up my gown (in her own sheet nonetheless) so it would be as wrinkle free as possible for my destination wedding - really above and beyond!!

All I can say is that Fay is absolutely the best! She is a sweet, kind and incredibly patient person, and knows wedding gowns like the back of her hand.

I received my gown trough the Brides Across America program (they donate preowned/sample gowns to military brides), and came to Fay for alterations. She was so wonderful at every fitting, always letting me take some time to look at myself in the mirror and put on accessories. She did an absolutely amazing job with my dress, and even when we ran into a bit of a cut issue that required extra fittings, she never treated this as an annoyance, and kept repeating that she would take all the time necessary to get it just right, no matter what.

I can't recommend Fay enough, but make sure to book well in advance - she is a very busy person!

Also, her prices were very reasonable, and my total came to less than I had expected to spend.

Fay is genuinely such a sweet woman and it was an absolute pleasure to work with her. After reading glowing reviews of her work, I booked her and am so glad I did. I had bought my dress off the rack and I liked it, but didn’t love it. Fay made my dress fit like a glove, turned it into exactly what I wanted, and a dress that I loved. She also created a cathedral length veil for me that was the perfect finishing touch. Considering all of the work she put into my dress, she was very reasonably priced. I absolutely recommend her to any bride, bridesmaid, or mothers needing alterations.

Fay is a super sweet person with the most adorable fat cats! She charges very reasonable rates for her services, especially compared to a dress shop. She was very quick, very organized, and made perfect alterations. I had my bustle adjusted, the chest taken in, the hips customized to be more fitted, and the top of the dress altered to be lower and more sweethearted. This was not easy to do because I had a lace dress which had to match up when she altered it, so ladies you can trust your lace dresses with her. She also steamed the dress afterwards. I looked and felt great on my wedding day and she will do the same for you!

Fay was amazing! I found her from recommendations and reviews. I was lucky she was able to fit me in because she is very popular. She did an amazing job on my dress and even made my veil for me. Her price was very reasonable.

My first impression of Fay was how kind and friendly she was, and how extremely knowledgeable she was about wedding dresses. There is no doubt at all when meeting her that she will help make your dress fit you like a glove. I had my dress hemmed, the bust line taken in, and an 8 point French bustle. She also fixed the back hook at the top of the zipper for no charge!

During my second fitting one of my bridesmaids brought her dress to try on, found that was too small, and Fay took it out with only 20 days left until the wedding. During the wedding, the dress bustle looked beautiful and held up wonderfully. Every time I met with Fay I left with a smile on my face. She is highly recommend, so much so that she books up fast! I feel blessed to have worked with her, and I would also highly recommend her to anyone needing any sort of alterations!

Fay worked really hard on my lace dress and it came out beautifully! Her prices were very affordable compared to all of the hard work she does. She was easy to communicate with and extremely kind.

I felt that Fay went above and beyond altering my wedding dress. She fixed, mended and altered areas of my dress that I didn't even notice needed to be. She had me come back for as many fittings as I needed, as much as 5 when I lost weight, and changed my shoes. Her prices are unbeatable for the amount of work she did to my dress. To top it off she is a doll to work with.
I will definitely be using Fay again for all of my dresses
