About

At the heart of Kansas City, Missouri, stands the Executive Hills Polo Club, a 7,000-square-foot wedding venue overlooking 15 acres of Missouri pasture. Once known as Roan Ridge Farm, this idyllically-located mansion was home to Wilber A. Cochel, who traded short-horned cattle throughout the 1930s. The estate was later purchased by Trisha Scott and transformed into the ideal venue for nearlyweds who dream of a wedding bursting with rustic charm.

Facilities and Capacity

The interior of this Missouri mansion is built in a rustic and glamourous style. The mansion's white-washed walls allow for natural light, and its French doors and windows let in the Kansas City sunshine. It also features deep, polished mahogany floors and crystal chandeliers, bringing a sophisticated balance to its homey feel. Covering 7,000 square feet, this spacious property can hold indoor and outdoor events with a total capacity of 200 guests. For indoor ceremonies, the mansion's stylish ceremony hall is at every couple's disposal. For outdoor ceremonies, couples can say "I do" on the mansion's large back lawn, well kept, enclosed by a fence, and elegantly framed by Kansas shrubbery. Once the post-ceremony happy hour starts, guests can enjoy drinks from the outdoor bar while lazing beneath the shade of the mansion's wrap-around porch. And as the party fever kicks in, guests can retreat to the mansion's reception area. This space is equipped with an open indoor bar and ample space to dance the night away. Adding that extra touch, this property holds separate ensuite dressing rooms for the two nearlyweds to prepare for the exciting day ahead.

Services Offered

The Executive Hills Polo Club team strive for the very best service, ensuring everything is ready before couples even ask. Fully prepped for ceremonies and receptions, this property provides tables, linen, Chiavari chairs, and decor to match the mansion's country aesthetic. The team at the Polo Club also give couples maximum flexibility when it comes to catering. Here, nearlyweds get an open catering policy and a fully functional caterer's kitchen for the freshest food and drink. All in all, couples who choose the Executive Hills Polo Club can expect nothing less than a wedding experience filled with Southern delight.

Beautiful Venue

The Executive Hills Polo Club was a beautiful venue to host our daughter's wedding this past weekend. Trisha and her hardworking team were committed to making our day stress free and our event a success.

The girls enjoyed a fun and relaxing day in the bridal room having their hair and makeup done and preparing for the big day.
For the outdoor ceremony, the chairs were arranged to accommodate our guests and provide social distancing during this pandemic. The grounds were in fabulous shape with a variety of gorgeous flowers and shrubs in bloom and several bubbling fountains.

The indoor reception hall was absolutely stunning. The table decor was beautiful and again, the tables were spaced to provide comfortable social distancing.

Brenna and Alyssa professionally took care of serving us at the bar and Avery was available to answer questions and assist with any needs.

We loved the convenience of having the ceremony and reception at a single venue. It enabled us to spend as much time with our guests as possible. We definitely recommend this amazing venue.

We thought it was a beautiful space from the beginning. The owner is wonderful to work with and very helpful. She neglected a few details that would have been nice to know but nothing major.

Unprofessional

We had a beautiful wedding at the Polo Club. The grounds were perfect for our families and kept everything simple by having the photos, wedding, and reception all in one place-near hotels. It is also nice that there is generally only one wedding per weekend there, so you can decorate on Friday. You can also use some of their decorations-they have tons! That helped with cost. The one very unfortunate part of the experience is how the owner, Trisha Scott, behaved at the wedding and decorating. She has two wedding in one weekend and kept changing the rules and timelines etc. I ’m shocked by her behavior because she was so helpful in the planning process. She was loud, rude, stressed, unprepared, and mean to the bride, her family, and people trying to help. She was not “ready” for decorating when we showed up on Friday to decorate despite confirming in writing/text/email. She was rude and made us leave. She then disappeared for a couple of hours during the decorating process. She kept yelling at people decorating telling us what we could and couldn’t do even though those things weren’t in the contract. During the wedding she was rude to multiple people, including the brides family. By the end, multiple people were talking about how unpleasant she was making the day. Unfortunately she does not manage stress well and took it out on the people getting married. She also has not been forthcoming in getting our deposit back. Happy to be married, disappointed in her unexpected behavior.

Misrepresentation and Attitude

The location is very beautiful. However, I have two problems. At the 1st appointment, a closet full of decorations and various table accessories were shown. Also yard games were discussed which was a selling point for this event. At the 2nd appt, they had done "a purge" and all of the decorations were gone and the yard games were too damaged to use. "Purging" w/o buy replacement items doesn't seem to be a wise business decision. My 2nd problem was the attitude of the staff. When asked for a bar towel, they "didn't have any", of course they did. When asked for a scissors or a knife, "we only have one and I'm using." I realize emotions for family members can seem excessive, but that is literally their job-help the parents execute a well-planned event. Conversations were overheard between the two owners where they were derogatory in nature regarding the parents (people paying) and attendees. We ended up buying the decorations and yard games to ensure our event was the way we initially planned. Paid for a professional bartender to include tip, but one of the owners served water downed drinks and had the nerve to have a tip jar on the bar.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
