We recently had our wedding reception at the Excelsior Springs Event Center, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! First and foremost, the food was absolutely amazing – all of our guests raved about it. The spacious and beautifully designed venue was spotless, and the layout provided the perfect setting for a seamless celebration.

We chose to have our ceremony at Congress Park, but for couples looking to hold both their ceremony and reception in one location, Excelsior Springs offers a beautiful ceremony area as well. It’s a lovely option that makes it easy to keep everything in one place.

Marianna, our wedding planner, was a standout. She was incredibly attentive, communicative, and helpful throughout the entire planning process and on the big day. We truly felt like we were in great hands with her guidance.

One of the major perks was the venue’s connection to the Courtyard Marriott, which is only a 30-second walk away. This made it so easy for our guests to stay right next to the event, adding such a level of convenience. We also rented a room at the Marriott for our rehearsal dinner, and they allowed us to bring in our own food and soft drinks, which made it feel even more personal and special.

One of the aspects we loved most was the flexibility to add our own personal touches. We were able to bring in custom signage, homemade centerpieces, set up a fun candy bar, and even add a mirror welcome sign selfie station. Our DJ also provided a photo booth, which our guests loved. These touches made the celebration feel uniquely ours and added to the fun atmosphere.

Overall, Excelsior Springs Event Center and the Courtyard Marriott created a perfect combination for a memorable and stress-free wedding weekend. We highly recommend this venue for any couple looking for a beautiful, well-coordinated, and guest-friendly experience!

Marianna, Terry, and the team at Excelsior Springs executed our dream wedding in Saratoga Springs on March 25, 2023! When I found this venue on Wedding Wire, it sounded too good to be true. Growing up locally, I had never even heard of it, but it had everything we were looking for in a wedding venue in a perfect location! Despite the fact that my husband and I live about 4 hours away, Marianna made the planning process so easy. She accommodated a second walk-through of the space when we couldn't decide between Excelsior Springs and another venue, she was always incredibly responsive to emails and calls, she was super organized, she provided us with trusted recommendations for everything we could have needed to make our wedding exactly how we envisioned it, and she did all of this with grace, kindness, and an obvious passion for weddings. We had about 115 guests, most of whom stayed next door at the Courtyard for multiple nights, and we have only heard amazing things about the experiences our guests had during the entire wedding weekend from check-in to check-out. The bridal suite was incredible. It was huge and there was more than enough space for all of my bridesmaids to get glammed up while enjoying breakfast at the huge dining table! My bridesmaids also stayed in the adjoining rooms. My husband stayed in a suite a few floors up that accommodated his groomsmen perfectly the morning of the wedding. Our guests loved the cocktail hour and reception food, which was super important to us. The ballroom space completely transformed when we added our personal touches to it (we rented chairs and twinkle lights for behind the sweetheart table and chose the perfect light green and silver color scheme for the room.) When we went to the venue to set everything up the day before the wedding, we were completely in awe of the work that Terry and Marianna did to make it look so beautiful! The cocktail hour space felt so much bigger than it looked and was set up perfectly so that our guests could access our guest book, card box, and seating cards while enjoying the cocktail hour food and drinks from the bar. The bathrooms were spotless the whole night. The wait staff and bartenders were on top of everything from beginning to end. The ballroom space was exactly what we were looking for in that it wasn't cramped at all even with a big dance floor, the DJ booth, and a large dessert table. All of our guests had a view of the whole ballroom all night, the event center was private and only accessible to us and our guests, and most importantly, Excelsior Springs and the Courtyard were located walking distance from Broadway which made traveling for a wedding exciting for our guests! If you are looking for an affordable and beautiful wedding venue in downtown Saratoga Springs and you want your out-of-town guests to have an incredible wedding weekend in one of the best cities in New York, this is the venue for you.

My husband and I feel like we struck gold when we found this gem to celebrate our special day! Being that we live in Charlotte, NC, planning a wedding in Saratoga Springs, NY during the start of summer vacation was no easy feat. Marianna definitely helped us with the process and made arrangements for our out of town guests to feel welcomed. My mother acted as our wedding planner and Marianna worked well with her to plan the event and troubleshoot any last minute issues. I highly recommend this venue for your special day!

We had the most BEAUTIFUL day at Excelsior Springs! First off, we had to change our venue 4 months before our wedding. Marianna was so helpful, reassuring, and answered any questions we had promptly. She was so organized and had everything laid out for us. She was our saving grace! If it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t have had our most perfect wedding day! After an hour into our reception we ran out of our favorite beer. She ran downtown and got 6 more cases for us! Not many people can say their wedding coordinator go above and beyond like that! Our guests are still talking about the food, drinks, and how beautiful the venue and hotel were! The best part: the hotel is right next door so no guests had to drive! They hosted our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception. All were exceptional! The bridal suite at the hotel is huge and provides so much space for getting ready! The food was AMAZING! I could go on and on about how wonderful Excelsior Springs is! All the staff were so kind as well! Marianna has a heart of gold and would have done anything for us! I’m so glad our original venue fell through because Excelsior Springs was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding!

We loved our wedding at Excelsior Springs in June! The ballroom is beautiful, with siding details, lighting, mirrors, and lovely chandeliers, you hardly need additional decor. It is very well maintained and the cocktail lounge was perfect with a patio alongside so guests could get outside to get fresh air throughout the event. The Event Center is next door but separate from the Marriott so you have your own space but it’s easy for guests staying over to get back to their rooms in your room block. It was great working with Colleen Whitaker to plan our event - we originally scheduled the wedding for October 2020 and postponed it due to the pandemic, Colleen was very flexible and accommodating to help us reschedule the date and work through different iterations of the wedding based on the current COVID-19 restrictions. She was also very helpful to talk through general wedding options and figure out what we wanted. The Chef did a tasting meal a few months out so we sampled hors d'oeuvres and entrée options before choosing - we loved the hors d’oeuvres! We had great service throughout the day/night and would highly recommend a wedding at this venue. We were also very happy with the breakfast buffet we did at the Marriott the day after as well. Alyssa was AMAZING! She always responded to all of our questions immediately and was flexible with every request we had. All of our guest (50 rooms) said great things about their stay. From setting up our decor, letting my husband and I and bridal party check in early, amazing food we wouldn’t have changed a thing about our wedding. We cannot rate this team more highly!

Alyssa from the beginning stages was a great source of guidance when choosing excelsior springs as our venue. She was — quick with email responses. Easy to set up meetings with to discuss the big day. Had great organizational skills when gathering and dispersing information. Alyssa had great chemistry with us during the entire planning process. Her suggestions from past wedding experiences went a long way and resulted in a fantastic wedding for my wife and I.
I highly recommend working with Alyssa for your big wedding day, she will steer you in the right direction for a successful fun day.

This venue and Alyssa out did all expectations I had for our NYE wedding. Being New Years Eve, we really wanted a venue where all our guests were able to stay close by, where we could have our ceremony and still be in downtown Saratoga Springs; Excelsior Springs had it all.

Not only is the venue absolutely beautiful, the staff is exceptional. Alyssa went above and beyond to make sure every need we had was met. She was able to help us make last minute decisions, was organized, insightful and was available always readily available to answer all my questions and concerns. Alyssa worked with all my vendors, reached out the weeks before our wedding to make sure everything was taken care of. Not only did we have our own server the night of the wedding, our head table and family were closely paid attention to the entire night!

I will admit, we had some concerns about the food and if it would take like generic “venue food” but that also surpassed all our expectations. Served warm, presented beautifully and most importantly it was delicious!

Finally- the wedding suite is enormous and beautiful! The room was perfect for breakfast and getting ready the day of. All the staff at the Courtyard were very attentive and kind. The hotel was decorated for the holiday season, they had the fireplace on and our friends and family were able to have drinks at the bar while awaiting the wedding. It was the perfect set up!

I would recommend this venue (and Alyssa) time and time again. Our night turned out perfectly. It was honestly the best weekend of our lives and all in part because of Excelsior Springs, their staff and Alyssa!
