Kathy is an absolute joy to work with and achieves a level of familiarity with her clients that made half of our wedding guests think we had known her for years despite only having met her a handful of times during the preparations for the wedding! Kathy officiated our wedding on 9/21/24. I have nothing but positive things to say about her. She is such a genuine, kind-hearted person who cares deeply about the couples she works with. Her whole process was so detail oriented so she could truly get to know us as individuals and as couples. The script she wrote for our ceremony was loving, light hearted, funny, thoughtful, and so personalized. When she initially sent my the script to preview, I was so amazed with how well she captured our story, and the tone she wrote the whole script in was so fitting to our personalities. So many people at our wedding were telling us it was the best ceremony they had been to! Having Kathy with us on our wedding day made me feel comfortable and at ease. Kathy officiated our wedding on June 10, 2023 and was an absolute dream to work with. Of all the vendors we hired for our wedding, Kathy was our favorite, and the ceremony she facilitated is the main thing our guests are STILL talking about almost six months later.

There are so many things Kathy did that made her easy and ideal to work with. To start, our first meeting with her lasted almost an hour. Even before we committed to working with her, she took so much time to get to know us. Then, she had us fill out a lengthy form sharing our story and vision for our ceremony in writing. Then, she came to our house and met with us for THREE HOURS to ask us even more questions and get an even deeper understanding of who we are. Throughout the entire process, she was incredibly communicative via email, stuck with the exact timeline she outlined with us from the beginning, and just generally had so much positive energy about marriage that rubbed off on us!

There were two sections of our ceremony script that were extremely important to us and that we wanted to write ourselves - one was a tribute to my mom who passed away just over a year before our wedding, and the other was a tribute to those who fought for marriage equality. Kathy was super accommodating in incorporating these sections into the script she was writing and using the language we provided her with. Aside from these two sections, Kathy wrote a ceremony that was completely customized to us, down to the story of how we met, our aspirations for the future, the phrases we used instead of simply saying “I do”, and how we wanted to be introduced at the very end before we kissed and walked down the aisle. Everything was so organized that we didn’t even do a rehearsal and it all went so smoothly.

Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that our officiant was the vendor we spent the most time finding. As a queer couple, we weren’t vibing with sooooo many of the people we interviewed because they would either appear very uncomfortable, say something that made us uncomfortable, or just ask/say inappropriate things. Kathy made us feel seen and heard and is a true believer in marriage equality in a non-surface-level way.

Where to begin with Kathy - SHE IS AMAZING. It was so relaxing to work with someone who was as organized as I was! She made wedding planning very easy for us and made the ceremony absolutely AMAZING! For rehearsal, Kathy put together an organized cue sheet making it very easy for everyone to know what their respective jobs were. Kathy helped us understand what different traditions are out there - some of which we had no idea about! Everyone loved the ceremony and there was not a dry eye in the crowd!

Kathy loves what she does and it really shows. She cares about each and every one of her clients and takes the time to get to know them as a couple - no one is just another client to her. The first ZOOM meeting was what sold us - easy to talk to, fun, spunky, caring - but most of all... personable. She cared about us and it was not getting another client.

I would 1000/10 recommend Kathy with nothing but the highest respect for what she does! Everyone loved the ceremony and Kathy is FOREVER a part of our lives!

Kathy is absolutely phenomenal — I don’t even know where to begin. From the moment we met Kathy she exuded kindness and professionalism and you can tell she LOVES what she does. Wow! Where do we begin? Kathy is an incredibly kind individual and we were so lucky to have worked with her to create and officiate our wedding ceremony. We sat down with her for our interview and by the end, we were talking like we were old friends catching up. She wrote the most beautiful ceremony we could have imagined. Every detail was so perfectly crafted to match our personalities and who we are as a couple. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. Family and friends expressed that it was the most special ceremony they have ever seen. Our parents were especially impressed and can't stop raving about her professionalism and warm delivery. We cannot say enough amazing things about Kathy! We were introduced to her when my brother and sister-in-law used her two years earlier. She completely makes the wedding ceremony all about the couple. Our Nana was raving about her and we knew we had to ask her if she could do our wedding. What is so great about Kathy is that she takes the time to get to know the couple and what is important to them so that she has a strong core to write the ceremony around. She comes to your home and sits down with you to get to know you and make sure you’re comfortable. What’s great about that session is that she records it so she has it as a reference and to share with you on your one year anniversary. Kathy also has an amazing nature about her. She is incredibly calming, funny, And easy to work with! It was important to us that we had someone we were comfortable with. So much so that when we had to change our venue and date, we were willing to make sure that we could get Kathy to the new venue. She was very reasonable about the change of plans and we knew we could rely on her to make sure everything went smoothly. Working with Cathy is more like working with a friend or family member rather than a vendor! We are hopeful to be able to use her for more family events I would absolutely recommend her to anyone in the future!

Kathy is just simply the best. We met with her to go over details of our wedding and she was extremely friendly and made us feel super comfortable.
