Multiple guests told us it felt like she knew us personally. The ceremony was beautiful, meaningful, and perfectly us. We highly, highly recommend her! -

Kathy officiated our wedding on 9/21/24. I have nothing but positive things to say about her. She is such a genuine, kind-hearted person who cares deeply about the couples she works with. Her whole process was so detail oriented so she could truly get to know us as individuals and as couples. The script she wrote for our ceremony was loving, light hearted, funny, thoughtful, and so personalized. When she initially sent my the script to preview, I was so amazed with how well she captured our story, and the tone she wrote the whole script in was so fitting to our personalities. So many people at our wedding were telling us it was the best ceremony they had been to! Having Kathy with us on our wedding day made me feel comfortable and at ease. She is such a warm presence and I felt like I'd known her my whole life. Thank you to Kathy for making our ceremony as amazing as it was. I highly highly recommend Kathy as your officiant! -

Kathy officiated our wedding on June 10, 2023 and was an absolute dream to work with. Of all the vendors we hired for our wedding, Kathy was our favorite, and the ceremony she facilitated is the main thing our guests are STILL talking about almost six months later.
There are so many things Kathy did that made her easy and ideal to work with. To start, our first meeting with her lasted almost an hour. Even before we committed to working with her, she took so much time to get to know us. Then, she had us fill out a lengthy form sharing our story and vision for our ceremony in writing. Then, she came to our house and met with us for THREE HOURS to ask us even more questions and get an even deeper understanding of who we are. Throughout the entire process, she was incredibly communicative via email, stuck with the exact timeline she outlined with us from the beginning, and just generally had so much positive energy about marriage that rubbed off on us!
There were two sections of our ceremony script that were extremely important to us and that we wanted to write ourselves - one was a tribute to my mom who passed away just over a year before our wedding, and the other was a tribute to those who fought for marriage equality. Kathy was super accommodating in incorporating these sections into the script she was writing and using the language we provided her with. Aside from these two sections, Kathy wrote a ceremony that was completely customized to us, down to the story of how we met, our aspirations for the future, the phrases we used instead of simply saying “I do”, and how we wanted to be introduced at the very end before we kissed and walked down the aisle. Everything was so organized that we didn’t even do a rehearsal and it all went so smoothly.
Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that our officiant was the vendor we spent the most time finding. As a queer couple, we weren’t vibing with sooooo many of the people we interviewed because they would either appear very uncomfortable, say something that made us uncomfortable, or just ask/say inappropriate things. Kathy made us feel seen and heard and is a true believer in marriage equality in a non-surface-level way.
We would HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Kathy as your officiant 🙂

Wow! Where do we begin? Kathy is an incredibly kind individual and we were so lucky to have worked with her to create and officiate our wedding ceremony. We sat down with her for our interview and by the end, we were talking like we were old friends catching up. She wrote the most beautiful ceremony we could have imagined. Every detail was so perfectly crafted to match our personalities and who we are as a couple. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. Family and friends expressed that it was the most special ceremony they have ever seen. Our parents were especially impressed and can't stop raving about her professionalism and warm delivery. We chose to write our own vows and purchased her hand-made vow books, which we highly recommend. Thank you, Kathy, for the most special day that we'll always remember. -

Personable, reliable and a delight!
We cannot say enough amazing things about Kathy! We were introduced to her when my brother and sister-in-law used her two years earlier. She completely makes the wedding ceremony all about the couple. Our Nana was raving about her and we knew we had to ask her if she could do our wedding. What is so great about Kathy is that she takes the time to get to know the couple and what is important to them so that she has a strong core to write the ceremony around. She comes to your home and sits down with you to get to know you and make sure you’re comfortable. What’s great about that session is that she records it so she has it as a reference and to share with you on your one year anniversary. Kathy also has an amazing nature about her. She is incredibly calming, funny, And easy to work with! It was important to us that we had someone we were comfortable with. So much so that when we had to change our venue and date, we were willing to make sure that we could get Kathy to the new venue. She was very reasonable about the change of plans and we knew we could rely on her to make sure everything went smoothly. Working with Cathy is more like working with a friend or family member rather than a vendor! We are hopeful to be able to use her for more family events I would absolutely recommend her to anyone in the future! -

I have only attended Catholic wedding ceremonies so I had no idea what to expect. I cried so many happy tears when Kathy sent us the first draft of the ceremony script! This was more than we could have ever asked for! She made the process easy and fun! Guests who have been to 20 plus weddings said that this was the most memorable ceremony they had ever attended. She even went out of her way to research Bulgarian traditions we wanted to incorporate. Kathy was a memorable and amazing part of our special day. -

We got married in December 2020 and just started to plan it at the beginning of November 2020. We were originally working with another JP but she had an emergency 4 days before the wedding! She immediately connected us to Kathy, who thankfully was available. Kathy worked with the ceremony script that the other JP created, but she added her own touches that made it even more personal for us. Kathy was warm, professional, and very responsive/easy to get in touch with...we were still finalizing our vows and didn't really have many ideas and she was very helpful and quick to get back to us when we had questions. Kathy did a lovely job and she was a huge part in making our wedding day flawless and so special. -

Wonderful!
Kathy with Ever After Memories is the most amazing officiant, I feel so luck and blessed that we met her! Getting married in 2020 was a struggle, but Kathy was with us every step of the way. She is so warm and kind, and made the whole process fun. She legally married us in June, and then officiated our “big” wedding in September. The vows she wrote for us, and how she personalized them and told our story was beyond special. Look no further than Ever After Memories. Kathy provides such a wonderful service and a very special experience! -

Absolutely amazing!! Kathrine is top notch!
Kathrine was the officiant for our 20 yr vow renewal and she was nothing short of amazing! She met with us, listened to our love story and personalized our ceremony. She has a very warm spirit about her, which made her very pleasant to work with. Kathrine was extremely professional and everyone who attended our ceremony, commented on what a fantastic job she did! We met Katherine at a Bridal Expo and we knew right away we wanted her to be our officiant. She is very genuine and great at her job. Her compilation of our video interview gave life to our ceremony. I found Kathy on WeddingWire and am so glad we chose her. We chose her because of the personable and unique aspect she brings to the textbook ceremony speech by doing an interview and recording it with both parties, making it into a small video and then mailing it out to you for one year anniversary. We ended up not having this portion of the package as we ended up cancelling our formal ceremony/reception due to Covid and had a small and intimate elopement ceremony. She came to marry us and wrote each of us an email requesting personal questions directed at each of us in our relationship (i.e. what is it that you noticed about her first?) and she was able to make the ceremony personal, fun and something we both enjoyed and interacted in. I would recommend her for anyone getting married. She was irreplaceable and totally involved. -

By the time we were married, Kathy was more than an officiant. She got to know us as she gave customized options which made our day memorable. She made the ceremony easy to plan and we were glad to have her marry us. Definitely do a ring warming! -

We couldn't be happier with our decision to have Kathy as our wedding officiant. She was extremely helpful, friendly, accommodating, and made a beautiful impact on our wedding day. A few things that makes Kathy's service unique is she really cares about her couples and makes the time to get to know them. We had a lengthy conversation about our relationship, wedding day and future together with her. She films this interview and gives you a copy come your first year anniversary, something we are looking forward to have as a keepsake. We were also given the option and flexibility to truly personalize our ceremony. This was very important to us, we did not want a typical/standard/cookie-cutter ceremony. We wanted one that was meaningful and genuine to us, Kathy made that happen. In fact, our ceremony was the number one element our guests complimented us on (besides my husband's green suit). I could go on, but I recommend Kathy wholeheartedly and without any reservation. You will not regret having her be a part of your wedding day. -

The best! Exactly what we envisioned!
After attending a friend's wedding last year, my husband I knew we wanted a more custom ceremony, one that felt like it was all about our love story. From the very first conversation, talking to Kathy felt like talking to a friend. We were down to a few choices and after our skype call with Kathy, the choice was so clear. The conversation just felt so natural and made us so excited about our wedding! If you don't know by now, Kathy also does a pre ceremony interview with you, and films it to send to you on your anniversary. This is not only the sweetest thing ever.. but also helped so much in figuring out the exact elements we wanted or didn't want in our ceremony. Even though she is the expert, Kathy was extremely open to any suggestions or requests we had. Fast forward to the day before our ceremony.. due to an illness in my family, I wanted to make some last minute changes to our ceremony and Kathy immediately worked with me to make it happen. The day of the wedding, I remember standing in the bridal suite feeling a little overwhelmed and nervous, getting ready to walk down the aisle. The door opened and Kathy came in and I immediately felt a sense of calm come over me, like an old friend had just walked in. My Grandmother wasn't physically able to make it to our wedding and in the midst (stress) of trying to figure out the logistics of how to face time her, Kathy stepped in and offered up the use of her own cell phone. She set it up on her tripod she had brought with her specifically for this purpose, started and ended the call. It means more to me than I can even describe that my Grandma was able to listen in and I will never forget that Kathy made this happen. You would think after the ceremony, Kathy's job would be done, but it wasn't. She stuck around to help us during photos- holding my bouquet, my jacket, and even taking some behind the scenes footage for us. Having an extra set of hands during that hour was something I didn't even know I would need. Kathy was definitely one of our best decisions and the day would not have been the same without her. I would recommend her to anyone. Our family and friends haven't stopped talking about how our wedding ceremony was their favorite they have ever seen. One of my bridesmaids even said to me "wow, your wedding ceremony was everything I wanted mine to be" My husband's grandmother wrote us a card shortly after our wedding and in it, reiterated how special and personal she thought our ceremony was. Moral of the story, Kathy is the best and you need her at your ceremony! -

Kathy Vass is a wonderful officiant. She is easy to communicate with, and easy to talk to. She spoke with us twice before our wedding for a few hours, and created an incredibly personal and touching ceremony for us. She really understood our relationship and that showed in the ceremony she wrote. She took our opinions into account, and added some wonderful surprises for our parents.
Kathy is also a wonderful person. She is easy to get along with and makes people feel comfortable (including my husband, who doesn't like to talk very much). We are looking forward to seeing part of our interview with her in 11 months, on our first anniversary! We would definitely recommend Kathy Vass as an officiant! -

From start to finish, working with Kathy was exceptional. At first, my husband and I wanted to be married with the church but quickly learned that we were not able to get married by someone of the catholic faith off site. We were bummed but knew we couldn’t let this put a dent in our plans. We met Kathy at a wedding expo and were first intrigued by the time capsule video she offered. We had a video meeting to have an official “meet” and it felt like we knew her forever. She reassured us that the ceremony was about US and our union which really put my husband and I at ease. We scheduled our ceremony detail meeting to record our video and I think we exceeded our timeframe but within good reason lol Kathy spoke to us like a friend, not someone who was in the business to just marry people. She helped us open up a dialogue that I think we hadn’t tapped into in a while ~wedding planning is hectic and at times blurs the purpose of the day and what it really means~ She helped us remind each other why we are getting married and we needed that. In return, our meeting helped create one of the most beautiful ceremonies ever. We received so many compliments on how personal and emotionally beautiful it was and it felt like everyone there was in tune with our union. We highly recommend Kathy to everyone looking for an officiant bc I guarantee you will walk away with an abundance of love and more excitement about your special day after sitting with her :) -

Choosing Kathy Vass as our minister was one of the best decisions of our wedding. When speaking with other potential ministers, it isn’t always clear if they’re completely interested in your own unique special moment. This was not the case with Kathy. She is very easy to talk to and be open with. We were very comfortable sharing our story with her from the moment we met. In fact, we stayed with her for over 4 hours chatting and getting to know each other. Kathy is unique among officiates as she will record the sharing of your relationship story so she can put together a video for your 1 year anniversary! What a cool idea! Kathy is clearly in it for the celebration of love and partnership that a wedding should be. She was happy to make the wedding feel it was ‘ours’ and not completely based in traditions; she suggested some less common traditions/ wordings that highlighted the special moment but matched our personalities and relationship as well. We are so happy to know that our wedding was a reflection of us. It makes us both so happy to look back on that day, surrounded by our closest friends and family, and know that we were shepherded into our married life by such a wonderful and kind person. We recommend Kathy to all our friends and anyone who wants to have a wedding focused on a celebration of their love.
