We chose Melanie as our “day of coordinator”but she delivered so much more than that. From day one I was shocked at how detailed and organized she was, which made the planning process a breeze. We planned our wedding of 174 guests in 5 months and although she was our “Day of” coordinator, She helped my wife and I organize literally every aspect of the wedding, from the super detailed spreadsheets for the guest list, to contacting all of our vendors, to helping set up the wedding in the rain! & keeping us calm throughout that entire nerve-wracking morning. Not only is Melanie a sweetheart, but she is a rockstar at what she does and we would highly recommend her to anyone planning to have a wedding!

Melanie is absolutely incredible!!! She was instrumental in helping our wedding vision come to life! As our day-of-coordinator she helped everything go smoothly, managed all our vendors and took the stress off of my husband and I so we can enjoy the day. Hiring Melanie was the best decision we made for our wedding. We had a very difficult wedding planning process (Non-communicative venue, absurdly high last-minute fees, needing to switch vendors last minute, etc.) Melanie handled each hurdle flawlessly! She got us a new florist, with a contract all made up in less than a day! She is so easy-going and calm, while also being extremely meticulous, smart, and quick. On the day of, she handled all of our set up, and clean up. She also made custom timelines for us to follow, so we knew exactly where we needed to be, when. Thanks to Melanie, we were able to actually enjoy our wedding day.

If you're on the fence - please keep reading to learn from past brides. One thing I learned from getting married is that even if you do the work and research on your own of planning and booking, you WILL be needing a day-of coordinator the day of your wedding. Why? Because you, as the bride, will need to be front and center shinning and looking stress-free. But you'll also be needing someone to manage the timeline throughout the day and all the vendors. Someone to handle the problems the day of so that you never even find out about most issues and to do the running in the background and have it all aligned. An MC does not cover organizing the timeline of the day with the vendors and helping you and your bridesmaids to get ready on time. Mel becomes that expirienced best friend you needed to save the day because you can't be in 2 places at once and a family/friend in charge will either 1.) not know all the things to do for a flawless wedding you invested in or 2.) miss out on enjoying your wedding because of the running around.

I learned the importance of a day-of wedding coordinator when I was a bridesmaid years ago to a friend overseas and she didn't want to have a day-of wedding coordinator. Well, there were a lot of "what are we supposed to do now" moments between us and there was even a point where we were all partying on the dance floor and I realized we had to tell the DJ to stop and ask everyone to sit down because the we forgot about the bride and groom's first dance.
