Hiring Courtney was easily the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. “Above and beyond” does not begin to cover Courtney’s level of service, care, and thoughtfulness. Throughout the months we worked together, Courtney always made us feel like a priority, though she was no doubt juggling so much. On our wedding day, every detail we worked on was executed flawlessly, and we were truly able to breathe and be present because we knew Courtney had it all under control. We got many compliments from our guests on how smooth and relaxed the day felt, and that is a testament to Courtney’s incredibly hard work.

I would also note that Courtney was completely respectful of our budget and priorities. She puts in the time to learn what is important to you, and keeps that in mind as she offers excellent, candid advice. Courtney also went out of her way to save us money in ways we simply would not have thought of on our own.

A final note to anyone on the fence about hiring a coordinator: Do it! (Specifically, Courtney!) I consider myself a fairly organized and detail-oriented person, so I wasn’t sure that I needed a coordinator. But I now believe that the more organized you are, the more you appreciate and value a partner at (or, in Courtney’s case, way above) your level. Weddings are truly their own category of event, and there is no substitute for a coordinator’s guidance and experience—especially someone as amazing as Courtney!

The best thing you could do for yourself while planning a wedding (other than marrying the love of your life) is to work with Courtney! She is an exceptional wedding planner and I am so thankful for her help in planning our event. She was recommended by a trusted family friend in the wedding industry who witnessed her kindness, calm and positive attitude, and respect to a couple’s budget. I was delusional in thinking I could plan a wedding out of state at a venue I had never seen myself, so I was initially reluctant to hire a planner. My mom had reached out to Courtney and immediately knew we needed her on board so that the wedding could become actual reality and not stay a figment of my imagination. Just 5 minutes into a phone call with Courtney and I was completely sold that we needed her. She was so calming and reassuring but was also very straightforward and already had ideas of where we could start in our planning, even before we hired her! She continued to have warm energy throughout the process, was patient when things came up, helped us make decisions when we were unsure, and went above and beyond to help us plan a perfect wedding weekend. I love how organized she is! There’s also something to be said that good people usually surround themselves with good people and Courtney’s recommendations for vendors were 10/10! She helped us find our amazing photographer and DJ, and helped us stay within or even below budget! She helped coordinate so many aspects of the wedding that I would have never thought of and I am not sure what we would have done without her. Our wedding was the happiest day of our lives and ran so smoothly, largely due to Courtney and we could not be more grateful for her!!

Our wedding planner story is a common one. We ran into issues with the venue coordinator, and realized that we needed additional support to ensure that our day went smoothly. The moment we connected with Courtney, we knew that we were in good hands. She really worked to understand both of us as a couple, as well as my type A personality. With every interaction, Courtney went above and beyond to make sure we got the experience we were looking for.

The day of the wedding provided many logistic challenges, including flower and signage relocating and recycling, and Courtney was game for it all. Everything was extremely thought-through and detailed, and was executed flawlessly. My only regret when the wedding was over was that I couldn't text Courtney everyday! Do yourself a favor and hire Courtney!

Courtney was truly terrific. She made the planning experience fun and stress-free. We chose the 90 day package, and the value was fantastic and fit our needs and timeline perfectly. She was very easy to work with and planned things out so that she would ask us for things a little bit at a time, spread out over the 90 days, so it never felt overwhelming. She was so flexible when we wanted to make changes and had great suggestions to help keep things within our budget.

As a major plus, we are a same-sex couple, and Courtney truly helped us feel comfortable and valued during the planning process. The wedding went off without a hitch (there was one minor flower issue which had nothing to do with Courtney, and we didn't even hear about until way after the wedding because Courtney creatively took care of it on the wedding day so we didn't even notice at all!). The wedding day itself felt easy, comfortable, and fun thanks to Courtney. If either of us gets married again, we'll be sure to hire Courtney. =P

My wedding was absolutely perfect, smooth, and flowed magically because Courtney was there. If I hadn't decided to get help from a planner, the wedding would have been chaotic and messy. Courtney is extremely talented at planning, coordinating, and remembering every little detail that I would've certainly forgotten. I was genuinely sad when our wedding was ended, not just because all the fun and magic was over, but that our time with Courtney was over as well. Courtney is hands down the best decision my husband and I made in our wedding planning process. We hired her with about six months out from our wedding and after we had hired all of our vendors. Up until that point I had been enjoying the wedding planning process (with a few stressful moments here and there), but could tell we were about to enter into a phase of planning that was out of my depth and I didn't have the bandwidth to pull off while working full time. While we were getting married in Sacramento, we lived across the country on the east coast, and I was growing nervous that so many details would be overlooked by us not being in town. Courtney was exactly what we needed to bring all the little pieces together and ensure that the week of the wedding we could be fully present and enjoy time with our guests. She is extremely organized, thinks of every little detail before it would have even crossed our minds, and is very responsive. Her professionalism and ability to navigate last minute changes with grace and thoughtfulness is something that my husband and I truly appreciated. There were many times in the weeks leading up to our wedding when one of us would say "I cannot imagine us trying to navigate all of this without Courtney." Friends noted to me more than once on the wedding day that I didn't appear stressed and I would just say "I'm honestly not worried because I know Courtney has it all covered." My husband and I knew we could trust her with all the inevitable questions on the wedding day from family and friends and we could simply enjoy the day after spending so long planning it. Despite being in a different time zone than California, Courtney was extremely adaptable to our early morning or late night texts and/or emails. She is also extremely kind and someone you want in your corner for the life milestone that is your wedding. We are so grateful she is part of our wedding story!

Courtney is worth every cent…. She became a friend to me during this process… I swear we texted everyday LOL! My family and friends still can’t stop talking about how incredible our wedding day was…. And they also knew it was because of Courtney!

She did everything for me, she completely went above and beyond. I had a family tragedy a few months prior to my wedding day and I just felt so comforted & she truly just always let me know we were in good hands.

She is honest and so knowledgeable. She knew exactly what we wanted because she listened intently. She was worth every cent and I know our day wouldn’t have been anywhere close to what it was without her! We love you, Courtney!

Hiring Courtney was BY FAR the best decision I made during the wedding planning process. She was incredibly organized, which as a type A person myself, allowed for me to fully trust Courtney and removed so much stress off my plate. She thinks of every little detail and even helps you think of ideas that you didn’t even know you wanted. She listened to our crazy ideas and actually made them happen. All of this made the wedding planning experience not only stress-free but even enjoyable.

I hired Courtney very last minute with 3 months left to go after letting go of our previous wedding planner and she quickly picked up all the missing pieces and was able to put together the most amazing backyard wedding, which is no small feat.

She is also such a great communicator, always responding to texts/voice notes within a short amount of time, making you feel like you’re her only client.

When hiring Courtney, we knew that she wasn’t able to be there the day of the wedding due to another event she was planning. The day of the wedding, her team was there to fill in for her and it felt like she was there herself running the show. EVERYTHING was taken care of and there were zero things missed from what we originally planned. Her associates were incredible, making sure everything was getting completed in the background.

We used Events by Courtney Ann to assist with the wedding of our son and his fiancé at the Berkeley City Club held September 30, 2023. This was a same sex wedding and our son and his partner live in Nashville, so we as parents were involved a bit more in the planning that is normal, I think. Courtney was more than accommodating in working with both my wife and myself and the two grooms, always making time to respond and always answering our questions. I have planned a lot of events over the years, but never a wedding, so we decided an event planner would be helpful. Boy, was that ever the right decision! Not only were there a ton of things we wouldn't have even thought about, but she was also extremely helpful and responsive on the more obvious, like florist, photographer, etc. Courtney was very familiar with the venue (which turned out to be key) and also recommended virtually all of the vendors that we used, all of whom were also excellent. There was a lot of communication over the course of the planning, and we received timelines and checklists which were very useful. Courtney did an excellent job navigating the planning with both the couple and one set of parents, dealing with the grooms when appropriate but also including my wife and I when that was useful or when we had questions (which was frequent!). The day of the wedding everything went flawlessly, and Courtney was there the whole time, even dealing with little details like getting the guest book and cards and flowers up to our rooms in the hotel. (I would definitely recommend staying at the BCC if you are getting married there; it really made both getting ready and getting things cleared out way easier.). So we would highly recommend Courtney Osborn for your wedding. You won't sorry and it will make your special day even more special!
