Courtney is an angel from above
Courtney is worth every cent…. She became a friend to me during this process… I swear we texted everyday LOL! My family and friends still can’t stop talking about how incredible our wedding day was…. And they also knew it was because of Courtney!
She did everything for me, she completely went above and beyond. I had a family tragedy a few months prior to my wedding day and I just felt so comforted & she truly just always let me know we were in good hands.
She is honest and so knowledgeable. She knew exactly what we wanted because she listened intently. She was worth every cent and I know our day wouldn’t have been anywhere close to what it was without her! We love you, Courtney!Events by Courtney Ann's reply:

Courtney is a DREAM to work with. We hired her to support us with our wedding at the Berkeley City Club in July 2023. She was incredibly committed to making our vision happen, and she had the experience to give us very sound advice. With Courtney, I felt like I had a caring and competent partner in the process, and that made a massive difference in my experience as the bride. Our wedding went very smoothly, and I attribute this almost entirely to her work on our timeline and with our vendors. Hiring Courtney to plan our multi-day wedding weekend was hands-down the wisest investment we made during the planning process. I was initially skeptical about wedding planners (having heard some negative experiences from friends/colleagues) but from day 1 of meeting Courtney over Zoom, we sensed that she was a consummate professional and would be deeply invested in our wedding. During our initial call she came up with a realistic, itemized wedding budget and provided valuable feedback on photographer vendors we were considering, which was far and above what any other planner had offered during our initial calls. Although we had technically booked Courtney's 90-day planning package, she was SO involved with planning starting from day 1 of hiring her all the way to our wedding weekend.
Some highlights of working with Courtney to plan our wedding: 1) she is diplomatic, thoughtful, and respectful, and will offer feedback/suggestions based on her vast industry experience while still respecting your opinion (and budget) at the end of the day, which was enormously helpful while we were making many vendor decisions, 2) she is a thorough and VERY quick communicator -- I'd often email/text her and get a thoughtful, full response within minutes, 3) we trusted her to help plan two distinct wedding ceremonies/receptions (one Indian, one Western) and she was masterful at handling cross-cultural differences with respect, 4) she handled communication with parents/family members and vendors (including a few hiccups with our venue) with grace while making sure she was advocating for us, and 5) she is incredibly calm under pressure and made us both feel like everything was under control even with last-minute changes during the week before and the weekend itself!
At the end of the entire process, Courtney honestly felt like a trusted friend and it was SO special to see how perfectly everything turned out during the wedding weekend, thanks to her immense expertise and care. Multiple friends/family also commented on how on top of it she was during the entire wedding weekend. We could not have asked for a better planning experience than working with Courtney and would recommend her without reservation to anyone looking for a wedding planner!Events by Courtney Ann's reply:

Courtney went above and beyond. Incredible.
When my husband & I got engaged in Dec. 2021, I wanted to elope because the idea of planning a wedding on top of our demanding full-time jobs felt like a nightmare.
He wanted a real wedding but knew nothing about planning one. Our compromise was we would have a real wedding but only if we hired a full-service planner so our lives would not have to be consumed with wedding chores.
Enter Courtney. We talked to a few other wedding planners who tried to sell us on the fantasy & emotion of "YoUr biG dAy" & were aghast when I told them I hate the wedding industry for its lack of pragmatism & its tendency to play on emotions. But Courtney didn't flinch. In fact, she sent us a budget breakdown showing what we should spend on each vendor to stay in our $40K budget. In the bay area! With 70 guests. And we hadn't even hired her yet!
With Courtney's help, we were able to stay well within our budget and:
- Found a perfect venue, locking in a date for Sept. 2022
- Found vendors for catering, DJ, flowers, make-up, invitations, cake, photos
- She held our hand every step of the way, telling us exactly what she would handle, what she needed us to do and when.
- She handled all the back-and-forth with all the vendors, especially one that was extremely challenging to work with. We probably still don't know half of what she had to deal with.
- The timeline she put together was insaaane. I would show it to friends just to brag about how much our planner had thought about that we didn't have to. Down to the moment my husband was supposed to get dressed.
- She helped save us money by giving us ideas about reusing ceremony flowers and estimating how much alcohol we should buy.
- She went above and beyond, helping us plan our post-wedding brunch even though she said she wasn't available for this.
On the wedding day, things went about as smoothly as we could have asked for. All the things we said were important to us - good food, open bar, beautiful flowers - were all on point, and all our guests raved about what a perfect wedding it was.
We'll rave about it forever, too. But only because of everything Courtney pulled off. -

With my now husband being in grad school and me having a funky work schedule, I was to put it mildly so intimidated to plan a wedding. I reached out on social media for wedding planner recs and a friend immediately raved about Courtney. I set up a call that day and the rest was history. I had a few other planners lined up to chat with but after the call with Courtney, I knew it had to be her. Courtney from the very first call was everything we could of hoped for in a wedding planner. She was so kind, professional, supportive, she knew exactly what questions to ask to get to know us and help support us in the journey of having the day of our dreams. We had Courtney helping us from the very beginning. I knew she was the one to trust with all things wedding, she pretty much guided us through all vendor choices and gave recommendations. I can honestly say there is not a single vendor we didn’t have a fantastic experience with, also that being said courtney kept everyone in the loop and in the know through email, timelines, layout, etc. Throughout the planning process, Courtney was phenomenal and on day of, she truly made our day perfect. Looking back, nothing went wrong… it was flawless and I attribute all of that to having Courtney by our sides. I remember only being nervous because of all of the attention, I wasn’t worried about the decor or layout or schedule because I knew Courtney was there. She has attention to detail while helping you remember not to sweat the small stuff. She knows what she is doing and she is absolutely incredible at it. I’m so happy to be married but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss my regular check ins and conversations with Courtney. We absolutely loved our experience with Courtney, she’s hands down an amazing woman and wedding planner!!!!Events by Courtney Ann's reply:

*Multiple* guests and bridal party members at my August wedding told me in private that Courtney was the best wedding planner they'd ever seen in action, and they are correct. I cannot imagine how a wedding planner could possibly be better at her job than Courtney is. We felt SO taken care of, even well before our "month-of" services technically kicked in. A few of her virtues:
- Courtney is a clear and lightning-fast communicator by email, text, and phone. She replied to all of our (many!) messages the same day we sent them, often within the hour.
- She was so attentive to our questions and needs throughout the whole planning process that it felt as though ours was the only wedding she was planning, although I’m sure that was far from true!
- Courtney respected our vision for the wedding and pulled out all the stops to bring it to fruition...but she also gently chimed in on occasion when she thought we or a vendor were making a miscalculation. She is not a brainless Yes Man, and our wedding was so much prettier and better-run because of it!
- Courtney’s industry knowledge is concrete and detailed, yet very expansive. On every vendor call she attended with us, it seemed like she also belonged to the field in question—that's how much she knows about boutonnieres, microphones, etc.!
- It was especially a relief that she took over communication with our vendors a month out from our wedding, introducing herself to them all by email and fielding any further logistics with them that we didn’t want to take care of ourselves.
- On the wedding weekend itself, I thought I'd be a wreck; I'm a nervous person by nature and often feel out of control of my anxiety during big events. But I actually felt very calm, beyond a few happy/anticipatory jitters. And Courtney and her assistant Alexis were a huge part of the reason behind my zen! It felt like C and A were somehow my personal assistants that day (always appearing with a cocktail or calming word when I needed one), yet I now know that they were also putting out fires behind the scenes that I never even learned about that night. The whole weekend went so smoothly that my partner and I could really just soak up the experience....a massive gift!
I will be recommending Courtney to all of my friends, as well as anyone else who will listen!

Courtney did a wonderful job planning and coordinating our 150-plus-person weekend wedding on the California coast in July 2022. Among other services, she supported us with venue arrangement, vendor selection and management, weekend schedule development, reception seating, ceremony choreography, signage, refreshments, guest communications, and day-of coordination. She was thoughtful, proactive, and attentive to our needs throughout the planning process, and was genuinely a pleasure to work with. Courtney was detail-oriented and professional, remaining patient and calm amid the many details and challenges associated with planning a large weekend wedding during the time of Covid. She was also down to earth, generous with her expertise, open to feedback, and always happy to walk us through the process. She coordinated gracefully between us, our parents, the venue, and the vendors to ensure everyone remained on the same page. We could tell it was important to her to help us craft a unique and fun wedding that reflected our values and interests, embracing the non-traditional aspects of the event and ceremony we wanted. Our wedding was in March 2022, a covid wave was recently passing. I was freaking out about everything. But this wedding could not have been done without Courtney Ann. She was absolutely perfect. She always made sure our families glasses were never empty and definitely made sure us (bride and groom) ate! Haha

The best!
Hiring Courtney was the BEST decision. We live out of state and are both very busy. We wanted a big, dreamy wedding, but we didn't have the bandwidth (or talent) to plan it ourselves, and we didn't want the anxiety of wedding planning to get it in the way of how excited we were to actually get married. We hired Courtney for full service wedding planning, and she was an absolute dream. She was able to take all of our half-formed ideas and general likes/dislikes and create the most beautiful experience. No matter how poorly I described something, she was able to bring it to life in the most beautiful way. From the venue to the décor to the vendors, she was able to identify exactly what we wanted, even if I couldn't totally pull it all together in my own head.
From our very first meeting, we trusted her implicitly. Because we were able to trust her, we were able to relinquish a lot of control and only dive into the aspects of wedding planning that really brought us joy. As a result, we went into the wedding with zero anxiety. We got to spend the whole wedding weekend enjoying our guests and family and just generally basking in how amazing everything was. It was remarkable to get to just enjoy our wedding day without ever even thinking about what was happening behind the scenes. Our wedding was amazing, and it is 100% because of Courtney. My husband and I were so happy with our decision to work with Courtney. We felt an instant connection during our first virtual meeting and we both definitely went with our hearts when selecting Events by Courtney Ann. She navigated everything in terms of our wedding beautifully and worked extremely well and patiently with my lack of organization. We didn’t really have a vision for our wedding and Courtney was able to guide us in the right direction and help bring something we couldn’t have envisioned to life. She was hugely instrumental in helping us find the right venue given our budget. In terms of everything with our budget she made sure to get us the best value in our price point. She did an amazing job at respecting what we were able to do financially while in the process making it as beautiful as it could be. And man it was a beautiful wedding thanks to Courtney :). Pretty much every vendor we selected were references from Courtney and we could not be happier with any of them. Courtney was a friend to both my husband and I during the entire year plus of planning. She was able to step into delicate family situations and be the commensurate professional. If I could leave more stars I would. Planning, postponing, re-planning, and adjusting to executing a wedding during a global pandemic was no small accomplishment. Courtney did this all with grace, patience, and a smile, all while keeping me calm and holding my hand through the process.
Courtney is a special individual, she became more then our planner, she became our friend, our confidant, and overall from start to finish I knew she cared about our big day just as much as we did!
As most young girls I dreamed of what my wedding day would look like, and let me tell you our wedding was more then I could have ever dreamed. I couldn't tell if I was dreaming or if it was real but our big day went perfectly and was better then I could have hoped for. My only complaint of the day was I wish there were more hours in the day or I could have my wedding every Saturday for a month straight it was just so perfect. And the only reason is was so perfect was because Courtney from day one worked with every vendor, every moving part, every person involved, and made our wedding day absolutely magical! She goes above and beyond in every aspect of the planning process!
I truly believe that Courtney is the absolute best in the industry, she knows the right people, she is organized (I am not), she is kind, and she makes your vision a reality. IF you are looking for a planner... look no further Events by Courtney Ann is the ABSOLUTE BEST! -

Working with Courtney for our wedding was one of the best decisions my husband and I made! She is amazing!! From day one she jumped in to rally and organize our vendors into action. This review is very long overdue. Courtney did a phenomenal job with our wedding back in May at the General's Residence/Presidio and I cannot recommend her enough. She was detail-oriented starting from our very first call and was a trusted advisor throughout the entire planning process. Not to mention, even when I was being an indecisive and difficult bride, she patiently listened and helped me brainstorm on everything from decor to timeline to table settings. And when it came to our wedding day, we were truly blown away from start to finish by how everything turned out. Also, in addition to the very thorough timeline she puts together for couples, she also puts together her own minute by minute timeline for herself, which I thought was very impressive.
What I am most appreciative of though, was how she handled the few hiccups that came up on our wedding day. For us, the main hiccup was a particularly unprofessional vendor who among other things actually lost our wedding bands for a period of time before the ceremony, putting us all in the worst mood. Courtney calmly and swiftly managed that vendor from that point forward, making sure that they completed all remaining tasks while also keeping them at a distance from us so we could have fun dancing and enjoy the rest of the wedding. She did this in addition to managing what I’m sure were a thousand other things.
Overall, I highly highly recommend hiring Courtney. She is fantastic and will be one of the top Bay Area coordinators on this site in no time. -

Very talented wedding planner, look no further!
Courtney was truly amazing to work with! From the first time I met her she had a warm, approachable, and genuine spirit. Genuine was the one that most resonated with me. From talking about our budget she was very transparent (unlike others coordinators that I was getting quotes from and felt they were hiding something).
As the months got closer to the big day she would ensure to reach out to have us fill out necessary questionnaires to share our vision. She was always timely to answer questions I had. Especially those days that I was having bride anxiety at like 11pm, but low and behold she would respond to my texts very fast or emails. (Very important (not to mention comforting) to have your coordinator respond in a timely manner).
Fast forward to month of and week of the wedding. We talked almost every day! (No seriously!). She would ask questions or bring up things that I never even thought of. For example, color of napkins, how do I want them folded for presentation purposes. Like down to those fine details she has the skill and vision for it! Count that covered when she coordinates your wedding. If you have a strict budget she is very resourceful and thinks outside of the box to still come up with Pinterest worthy ideas.
Day of wedding, she was flawless with execution of the timeline, payment of vendors, and all in between. Still even finding time to bring rounds of drinks to the bridal party after the ceremony while we took family portraits. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Events by Courtney Ann. Essentially you will have made the best decision of your wedding planning process to hire Courtney! -
