Finding a wedding dress was something that I had dreaded, but in working with Emily to alter my mom's wedding dress, this quickly became my favorite part of the whole wedding planning process. I loved the idea of wearing my mom's dress, but it was way to small for me and very much not my style. Step by step, Emily transformed the dress to not only fit me, but to become a dress that was very much unique to my style and preferences. It was difficult for me to envision the changes ahead of time, so we worked in stages--making one change, coming in for a new fitting, and then playing around with what might happen next. We were even able to incorporate my grandmother's veil into a piece of the dress. It was such a personal experience, and Emily made it so easy. She's amazingly talented with a sewing machine and incredibly organized with her business. And it was very affordable--I paid less for my dress than what you'd be able to find on almost any clearance rack. I cannot say enough good things about Emily and her work.

Emily is amazingly talented. I had a surprisingly hard time finding a seamstress in Minneapolis to update my mother's wedding dress. Emily made it look beautiful. She did a wonderful job of making my ideas come to life and also gave her professional opinion to help the dress turn out perfectly. My dress ended up being the perfect combination of maintaining elements of my mom's dress I liked but also looking like brand new dressed I wanted to fashion it after. The cherry on top was that I ended up with a brand new looking dress with sentimental value that fit me perfectly for less than what it would have cost to purchase the new dresses I was looking at!
