My dress fit perfectly because of Eltsa! They did wonders to bring in the waist and straps, add cups, trim the under layer so my dress weighed less, and added a 7 point bustle that looked gorgeous. We had multiple fittings to ensure the dress fitted well before they made more alterations. On my final pick up day, as I was touching my dress, my ring snagged on the fabric and pulled a few threads loose. They were able to remediate the issue quickly without charging me, and the fabric looked pristine once again! I'm so glad I went to them for my alterations, and would go back in a heartbeat.

I can't recommend Eltsa Custom Sewing enough. I have had great experiences with them with other items, so it was a no brainer to take my wedding dress there and they delivered. Very flexible with the timing -- kept allowing me to come back with new shoes before finalizing it, and kept reminding me of the timeline before a rush order would be necessary. Even then, I picked my dress up just 1 week after my final fitting and with only 2 weeks to go before the wedding. Highly recommend.

The shop I bought my wedding dress from recommended I bring it to Eltsa for alterations. I was very happy with the work done here. The staff were pleasant and everything was done in a timely way. On top of that, they saved me a couple hundred dollars by suggesting that I skip alterations I was thinking of. And most important of all, the dress looked great.

When I bought my wedding dress, I was a size 14. After 6 stressful months of grad school and wedding planning, I dropped to a size 6. I was terrified my dress wouldn't fit anymore since it was so structured and beaded in the middle. It was from a second-hand store too so I couldn't return it to get a smaller size. I searched for a long time, and Eltsa had such great reviews that I felt confident bringing her my dress to alter. Her and the other seamstresses did a fabulous job on my dress, and it fit me perfectly. It only took a few fittings, and they tried to keep the costs down as much as possible. The prices were very reasonable, and they were very professional and upfront about all the costs. They are also just fun to work with! Your outfit is in good hands here. Cash or check only, and you can save some money by using cash! They can take paypal payments as well.

I had a complicated dress and I went to SIX seamstresses in Anchorage, AK and none of them were up to the task! In a panic, I called Eltsa right before a business trip to Seattle and they were able to get me in for an initial appointment within 2 days. Then, they worked with me since I was coming from Anchorage to minimize the number of visits. They booked me for an appointment at 10am, and then booked me for the same day at 7pm so they could work on it within the same day. Fortunately, the dress fit almost perfectly when I arrived for my 10am appointment and they were able to make the remaining alterations within the next hour so I could be on my way home to Anchorage early!! In addition to their customer service and flexibility, the sewing itself with perfect and the dress looked like it was made for my body. Plus, the girls were entertaining and fun!

I arrived on Eltsa’s doorstep with two dresses, the one I had purchased off the rack and the dress my mother wore at her wedding. It was a very special project for me, seeing as I had lost my mother to cancer a few short months prior to starting my dress transformation, but Margo & Marina listened to my vision and helped me recreate it along the way until my wedding dress was a perfect compilation of mine & my mother’s.

The dress I had originally purchased had a beautiful lace bodice but it had a one shoulder top, full of feathers and flowers… beautiful, but not my style. I wanted that one shoulder dress converted into a halter dress, and the material we used to make that halter transformation happen… the pearl belt off my mother’s dress. Her belt became my straps.

The transformation was physically beautiful, but spiritually it was so impactful to have my mother hugging my neck all day!
