We had a family heirloom wedding dress that my mother and I had both worn, and my daughter wanted to wear it. It needed a lot of alterations, plus my daughter wanted some changes to the bodice, sleeves, and the bustle. The dress was made of layers of satin, peau de soie, and lace, and was very delicate. From our first meeting with her, Delores was completely confident that she could make all the changes we requested and make the dress exactly what my daughter wanted. She scheduled three fittings, and worked around when my daughter was in town and available. She complete reworked the scalloped hem and the lace border, and took apart the bodice and put it back together with new sleeves. She even used some of the embellishments from the long sleeves that were removed on the new cap sleeves. Our job required a seamstress with a great attention to detail and very advanced skills, and Delores was up to the task. She was professional and easy to work with, and we were so happy to have found someone so extremely talented who was able to make this happen. The dress was perfect, my daughter looked beautiful, and it was a very special part of her wedding day.

Delores altered my daughter’s wedding dress, another daughter’s maid of honor dress, and my son’s suit pants. Jos A Bank’s said that the pants were unalterable. But Delores made them perfect. The wedding dress was so lacy and complicated; it turned out beautifully! The maid’s dress needed major alteration; it looked wonderful on my daughter! Delores’s place is super safe and non creepy. Other places I considered were located in rough areas.

Ducharme designs was responsive, quick, and did great work! My dress had intricate design details but she was able to take it in without impacting the design, and made it look easy! She also took the time to show me exactly how the dress was supposed to be bustled (several times) so there were no delays on the wedding day.
