Sonya is a superb wedding planner. From Day 1, she was interested in knowing the vision for our events and anticipated the logistics that would be required to achieve our wedding day. She went above and beyond getting to know our loved ones and organizing all the important people involved in our occasion - vendors and family included! I would absolutely trust her to run any event in a streamlined fashioned. We loved working with her!

Even before the decision was made to ask my future wife’s hand in marriage, I knew that Sonya would be in my corner from day 1. Immediately after the proposal, Sonya was hard at work to make our dream wedding come into fruition. This would be no easy task as we were having a destination wedding in Florida, far away from our family located in Chicago/Indiana and Canada.

Her insightfulness into the vendor world made the most difficult conversations easy. We were able to build our dream wedding comprising of vendors from all over the country based on the recommendations from Sonya, especially the decor.

In the months, weeks and days leading up to our wedding week, Sonya made sure to provide thorough updates and action steps that were needed to ensure that our wedding was free of any wrinkles. Her infectious positive energy throughout the wedding not only helped with calming nerves, but also served as a reminder to be a groom and not worry about things that are out of our control. I can say without a doubt that our wedding week would not have been the same if it weren’t for Sonya. We cannot recommend her enough!

Sonya was the wedding planner we needed for our mixed heritage ceremony. She had the best recs for catering and vendors. She also saved the day with my outfit on the day of our wedding. Would highly recommend!

Sonya is very friendly, genuine, and easy to work with. She truly puts her heart in ensuring her client's event is a success. I have a Type A personality when it comes to event planning and I don't have to question Sonya's work because she delivers beyond my expectation. Her communication and organization skills are her strengths as she is always keeping her client in the loop. There is no question on how your event will go if Sonya is on your team! She always puts her client first and ensures the event will be a success. She brings her expertise in decision making and comes with versatile event planning experiences. Sonya literally makes your vision a reality... in other words, a dream come true! =)

Sonya made the daunting task of planning a big fat Indian wedding actually manageable. We hired her as our day of coordinator as well as the decorator for a few of our events. Her execution was flawless. She was involved every step the way, far more than we expected from a day of coordinator. She handled everything big and small, like fixing my mom's tikka, pinning my bridesmaid's dupatta, and getting my coffee the morning of my ceremony. Her mantra was "you just be the bride, I'll handle everything else." And that's exactly how it went, thank you Sonya!

My wife and I chose Sonya because I had previously work with her at a wedding before and she gets the job done!!! She works on a strict timeline, and makes sure your events go as smooth as possible. She met all of our exceptions and more!

Wow! Just wow!!!! When we first met Sonya, I never felt that such a connection to a person! She made me feel like I’ve known her my whole life. She made planning our wedding so easy and organized. She went above and beyond, and even came in clutch in last minute adjustments. 1,000/10 recommend!

Sonya was amazing for our May 22, 2021 wedding! She thought of things that didn’t cross our mind. She helped us with vendors when we were in a bind. She understood our vision for the wedding weekend and we trusted her with the rest! She understood what elements were important to us and she focused on that, but didn’t let other aspects go unnoticed. My husband and I used Dream Events by Sonya for coordinating and decor and we are so glad we did!

Sonya is an amazing wedding planner and our wedding would not have happened without her! She very thoughtful, extremely organized, and fun to be around. Our wedding planning started pre-pandemic but as 2020 progressed, she helped us navigate complicated logistics including state mandated restrictions for both the ceremony and reception. She can help with anything, including finding a last minute officiant (herself) and we contracted her for all the floral and decor. She also seems to have a lot of great relationships with wedding vendors in the Chicagoland area. This was very helpful in coordinating efforts among different groups of people. We would highly recommend Sonya to anyone else getting married. Sonya made our wedding dreams come true!
