Words can't actually fully describe how grateful my husband and I were to be able to work with Jo for our September 2024 wedding (and our engagement session before that). First of all, Jo traveled from Boston to a farm in VT, and not only did she and her wonderful assistant Janah keep our big families ahead of schedule with the family photos ahead of the ceremony, but they used their expertise to help direct us in the moment in a clear and fun way that made the experience a complete delight. Our guests couldn't stop raving about their professionalism and ability to pivot quickly and capture any moment. Jo shared the finished gallery with us much faster than anticipated, which was a wonderful surprise. She also has a really intuitive way of grouping the photos together so it makes it easy to look through, find your favorites, and share with others. Looking back on our gallery, we have hundreds of gorgeous photos spanning unforgettable candids to formals with families, all of which we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Oh my god I don't know where to begin. Our experience working with Jo was an absolute dream from start to finish. My husband and I are not naturally confident in front of the camera, and Jo made it so easy to feel relaxed and at ease. The photos she took of us came out so natural and authentic. I thought the engagement photos she had done for us were amazing, but they were only the beginning of Jo's colossal talent. On the day of our wedding, from start to finish, Jo was personable, present, upbeat, and so on top of the schedule. She caught every photo we requested and so many of moments we never imagined we would have wanted captured. Looking back at the photos now is like reliving the wedding day, but better, because we get to see every little thing we might have missed in the wedding chaos.

Jo's easy demeanor, helpful suggestions, and organized questionnaire took all the guess work out the shot list and schedule, to the point we barely had to think about anything ourselves. Not to mention, the photos from our wedding day are nothing short of stunning. I will be staring at them for years to come- honestly there were so many stand-out shots, we've had trouble narrowing down which ones to display in our home. What a great problem to have! We absolutely loved working with Jo! From start to finish, Jo was quick/communicative, professional, and talented at her craft. We chose a package that included an engagement photo session, and we were immediately put at ease that we made the right decision. Jo was personable and friendly and made taking photos a fun (and not awkward) experience. For both our engagement session and wedding day, Jo spoke with us ahead of time to get a sense of what we were looking for and made us feel so prepared. She did a great job of taking our ideas while also giving great feedback and professional instruction on what may or may not work well. We would choose Jo again and again. Working with Jo was truly a magical experience that exceeded all our expectations! Hiring her as our wedding photographer (8 hour package with second shooter) was the best decision. Jovani was a wonderful photographer to work with. From the beginning she was very open, warm, and willing to work with me on my wedding photography. My husband has a low tolerance for formal pictures and we both have large extended families to organize for photos. Jovani was excellent at keeping track of what group pictures we wanted, and helped us get most of them done before the ceremony so that afterwards we could just mingle with our guests. Most of all, the photos we got back (very quickly!) were STUNNING. The color and lighting was gorgeous and exactly the kind of golden hour, New England fall afternoon that I wanted. I would absolutely recommend her to my best friend.

When I look back on my wedding experience and wedding planning experience, I say with absolute confidence, the most gratitude, and just the biggest sense of, ‘how lucky were we?!’ that hiring Jo / Bold as Love Studios as our photographer was the best decision we made.
