About
Hi!
The why. Why do I do this? I love to make time stand still for you and your loved ones. For me, looking back at photographs from years gone by is heartwarming and gives me that connection to the past. Creating that for you, allowing me into your world for a brief moment in time, means the world to me.
I studied Photography at Grand Valley State University and received my BS in Communications with an emphasis in Photography.
Studies in Photography at Grand Valley State University encompass the history, critical and aesthetic theory, and varied practice of photography as a medium of visual communication and expression in culture and society.
As in all forms of communication, the study of photography requires that photographers synthesize analytical and creative capacities and apply them to the critical interpretation and creative production of meaning. Mastery in photography requires an understanding of the visual language of the medium, the acquisition of technique, and a disposition of intellectual curiosity.
Blah, Blah, Blah!! What all that means is that I have been professionally trained by some of the best photographers around in many different formats and styles. For weddings, most of them or photographed in a traditional style but I am open to let the creative juices flow too! Every person and every event has its own style. It is my goal to capture that special moment in your individualist style.
I also do engagement photography, maternity, infant and family as your photography needs change. Sorry, this is a shameless plug for future work. :)
Truthfully, I love to build a relationship with my clients. Watching their family grow and change is what photography is all about!
