It all started when a neighbor handed me my first camera, an old Kodak Insta-something when I was eight, and I became obsessed with capturing everything I saw around me. Today, I prefer the unexpected over the traditional, the candid shot over the posed, the moment after the pose over the pose itself.
I believe pictures shouldn’t be painful. I want you to feel special, happy, gorgeous, and well-cared-for throughout their photography adventure, but most of all I want them to have fun. A relaxed couple makes an even more beautiful couple on that most important of days, and I will go above and beyond for my brides to ensure that is exactly what happens. I’m not just a photographer on the wedding day: I’m a friend, there to provide emotional support, wrangle family, and I will always get you to the ceremony on time.
This is a family business, and I now work almost exclusively with my daughter Makena and my son Ronan as second shooters, and we are passionate about capturing beautiful, memorable images on every wedding day we shoot. Almost more importantly, we work hard to make sure you, your wedding party, and your family feel relaxed, happy, and comfortable. We know how hard it is for most grooms to enjoy the picture process, so we make sure every groom and groomsman (no matter how much they hate the idea of being photographed) has a hilarious and relaxed time, and I can’t tell you how many of them have told me at the reception they didn’t realize they could actually enjoy the process. We love to hear at the end of the day: "You guys were so much fun!" because that's exactly what our couples should remember at the end of their wedding day: that they had the time of their lives while we captured them doing it.
