I had my wedding dress altered here and I was not disappointed. I had my dress hemmed, taken in, bustled, and added straps. I was very nervous about adding lace straps because I’ve seen pictures where it is obvious that they do not belong on the dress. Dorca worked her magic and made the dress beautiful. She is super efficient and accommodating. I live out of state and she was able to fit me in with no problems. Very very very happy with her work. The beads on my veil were coming undone and she had it fixed within minutes. Very sweet woman and she really knows her stuff. I am so so happy with my decision to get my dress altered here. She is amazing :)

I had a short turnaround time, and they worked with me to fit my schedule. The work was done faster and cheaper than others quoted in the area, and the quality of the work was exceptional. My dress was a sample, and they made it look brand new, sewing up small seam rips and tightening loose beadwork at no extra cost. I'd trust this place 100%.

Went to another recommended alterations place in Tampa first and was disappointed when I was told nothing could be done to my Wedding dress without ruining it. I felt in my heart that was not true and I decided I needed to find a place that actually did wedding alterations on the regular for a second opinion. Through the powers of facebook I got a recommendation for Dorcas.

I made an appointment and she was so sweet. My mom doesn't live locally so I had to go alone to my fittings and she really helped me. She said she could do a lot to help me out with my dress including putting on a belt that I wanted added and adding cups to my dress for support so that they wouldn't show and so I didn't have to wear a bra. She was so nice, thorough, and trustworthy.

There was just a few weeks left before my wedding when we were finished with alterations and she offered to store my dress at her shop for no extra cost which really helped me out. She paid close attention to detail and if something didn't look right she would ask to keep my dress longer and fix it. I started going there 8 weeks before my wedding because that is when my dress came in. I would say I had a fair amount of work that had to be done and she finished everything in about 6-7 weeks.

Quick back story, I brought a dress sight-unseen online, and it was nothing like the picture!! In fact I hated it, but due to budgetary reasons, I had to try to "make it work" project runway style by re-designing and altering it. But I cannot sew! I brought my wedding dress in for them to work on. The skirt is a tulle skirt and the top was a see through lace topper that was meant to be a cover for a wedding dress, but I loved it and wanted to make it my top for my wedding dress. I took it to Dorcas to have them add a liner so that it could be worn as a top. Not only did they do an amazing job in the alterations, but I came in Saturday to let my girls look at it and they let me try it on for them, even though they were busy! I love this place and they do excellent, custom work! I am one happy bride!

I brought my wedding dress in here to get altered. They did a good job shrinking my dress down about four sizes. Unfortunately the place I bought my dress recommended the larger size to order because while you can go smaller you can’t go bigger. Because of this my dress ended up swallowing me, especially since I lost quite a bit of weight. Luckily my dress was altered to fit me a lot better. Overall I had a good experience and I know if I need anything else altered that I can go here in the future.
