We really wanted to make our wedding feel personal and showcase our interests and styles through our music selection. This meant a mix of video game, anime, hip hop, r&b, and pop tracks but we didn't want them to feel incoherent with each other so we opted to search for an acoustic guitarist that would be able to play all of these seemlessly for us in such a way that if you recognized the track, it would be a great little Easter egg but if not, it would just sound like lovely music. Donovan was the only one we contacted that said he would have no problem delivering and he was absolutely true to his word. He learned a number of new tracks just for us and took feedback and notes incredibly well. Our guests loved him and we couldn't be happier with our pick. We hired Donovan to play at our wedding and he absolutely exceeded our expectations! He so talented, can play any and every song we wanted, and all of our guests LOVED having him there! We had a pretty specific wedding vision and knew we wanted a guitarist to play as guests arrived and throughout the ceremony, and Donovan was nothing short of perfect! He was so easy to talk with in the planning, walked us through all of our options, and answered every question we had. He is very knowledgeable with how weddings typically go, so he was able to guide us through a plan while taking on all of our wants and needs with no issues. Donovan has multiple packages to fit any event need you desire and is very reasonably priced. We gave him a genre of music to play while guests arrived and everyone thoroughly enjoyed his touch to our day. When it came to ceremony music, we had specific songs we wanted and Donovan had no problem playing them and timing them in the ceremony exactly as we wanted. I felt so cool walking down the aisle to “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica, just as I pictured! Made my day!! He truly was the cherry on top to such a special day! He even made sure to wear our requested “all black” attire to make sure our day was exactly what we wanted! We cannot thank Donovan enough for being such an easy going and pleasant person to work with - and his playing is top notch! Would recommend him to anyone 10/10!

Donovan played guitar for our wedding ceremony, as guests entered and as the wedding party and bride walked down the aisle. When we met with Donovan to talk through the details, he had a guitar at the ready and could play any song we mentioned with a drop of a hat. We were blown away by his talent and skill. My husband and I had Donovan play ceremony and cocktail hour music at our wedding at the Montage Laguna Beach, and he was awesome! Donovan was very professional and extremely talented with an excellent varied past and current Playlist . He was extremely accommodating, easy to work with and his musicianship showed performing beautifully, and having just the right tone ,volume and timing for my son's our entire Wedding Day. He met with us prior to our event via zoom to guide us through any questions we had and offered song selection for each moment we wanted to capture. Donovan played acoustic guitar at my wedding ceremony on April 27, 2019 and he was fantastic!!! His guitar sounded beautiful at my outdoor venue. He was very pleasant to work with, super nice guy and very communicative. He even learned 2 new songs I had requested and played effortlessly at my ceremony! I had quite a few guests comment on how awesome he played, a true professional! We also had him play some Flamenco and that sounded amazing as well. I can't say enough good things about Donovan! We hired Donovan for our May-Southern California-backyard wedding. We had gone back and forth on how to do our music at the ceremony and are so so glad Donovan was recommended to us. My husband was set on having his favorite song from a Puerto Rican rap duo and I was set on walking down the aisle to a acoustic guitar song from Alexi Murdoch. We were so lost on how to bring these songs together for our ceremony and Donovan did it with ease. Even more impressive- unaccompanied! He also made such a beautiful ambience for the processional and cocktail hour.
