As founding member and DJ of London’s Livin’ Proof, and New York’s BackToLife and Shapes parties, Khalil’s musical palette, creative direction and DJ style have proved pivotal in their ongoing success. His approach to DJing has been heavily influenced by the multicultural fabric of London’s nightlife and creative industries, making him a musically diverse crowd favourite DJ. His sets often weave through genres from Hip Hop to RnB, Dancehall to Afrobeats and through variations of House and Dance music from the UK and around the world. Playing between the lines of the expected and unexpected, new and old, to create a distinct style and sound of his own.

He’s played shows across Asia, Europe, the United States and the UK at some of the most renowned events, club and concert venues. Being based between London and New York from 2015, he has remained a highly active and widely respected club DJ in both cities and internationally. He’s played brand & corporate events for the likes of Microsoft, Nike, Pandora, Soundcloud, and Adidas, with festival bookings in Europe, Dubai, India, and the UK. He has been booked alongside a long list of global acts including Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, A$AP Rocky, David Rodigan, Questlove and Sampha, with celebrity events for the likes of David Beckham, Martha Hunt, Marc Jacobs, Adwoa Aboah, FKA Twigs and Stormzy. He’s also played shows and provided guest mixes for Radio and publications including Boiler Room, NTS, Ebro on Beats 1, Sway in the morning, Rinse fm, BBC Radio, the FADER, Redbull, iD Online, Highsnobiety. With his original produced music receiving plays by DJs on NTS, Rinse FM, Kiss fm, BBC Radio 1xtra and Apple Music Beats 1.

Khalil has been pivotal in the creation and ongoing success of his club brands Livin’ Proof, BackToLife and Shapes, and has previously worked as head of programming and marketing at venues The Westbury in London and Louie & Chan in New York. Managing to build a genuine community around music events, programming some exceptional talent while keeping a strong musically integrity.
