Shaina Windsor, more commonly known by her professional name “DJ Lady Shay”, has become a stand out professional in the entertainment industry. Due to her versatility and diverse mind set DJ Lady Shay has grown to become one of the most well rounded entertainers of Central Florida, and most recently has taken her talents to the national and international stage. With a sense of musical artistry not found in the average professional, DJ Lady Shay has overcome the barriers of a male dominated profession to excel beyond limitations and become a driving force that is spear heading a new chapter for female DJ’s.

Born and raised in Delray Beach, Florida to Jamaican parents, DJ lady shay’s talents are deeply rooted to her father who was also a well-respected DJ who drew popularity in the Jamaican house party scene. Playing on Technics turntables her father used the influential and legendary sounds of disco, dancehall, calypso, and soca music to create an atmosphere that would turn his daughters interest to the musical arts. DJ Lady Shay would soon focus her attention and career objectives to becoming a musical artist and professional Disc Jockey. In the pursuit of her professional DJ career DJ Lady Shay attended the University of Central Florida graduating with a degree in Interpersonal & Organizational Communications. This lead to DJ Lady Shay attaining one of the industries most coveted internships at Central Florida’s premiere radio stations 102 Jams and Power 95.3, where she served as radio promotions and DJ. With her education complete and focus on her career DJ Lady Shay’s reputation began to grow, soon she would become a staple of the Downtown Orlando Nightlife. Now having a well established reputation as a premiere entertainer DJ Lady Shay wanted to expand her market share by offering her talents to the general public for weddings, corporate events, and schools.

In an effort for continued growth and professional fulfillment, DJ Lady Shay turned her focus towards expansion with a move to Tampa in 2011. Now an independent fulltime DJ who plays an open format, DJ Lady Shay achieved recognition on the national stage by lending her talents to Grammy Award Winning artist Mary J Blige as the opening act for her most recent concert in Tampa, Florida. Her clients include some of world’s most recognizable brands including Ford, Nike, Under Armor, Adidas, Victoria Secret, Macys, Dillards, and Sprite. DJ Lady Shay has also been awarded the “Couples Choice Award” by Wedding Wire for 2016, 2018, and 2019.
