Jake was an awesome addition to our wedding, keeping everything moving through the ceremony and right into the reception! He knew when to turn it up and when to tone it down, allowing for awesome conversation while everyone was mingling and eating before getting folks moving for several solid hours to close off the night!

He was able to seamlessly work in 80s and 90s pop music, swing and waltz, and 50s ballads in a way that felt effortlessly natural. Everyone who wanted to dance was happily on the floor and the guests that didn't want to dance didn't feel in any way pressured to participate or that they had to shout over the music to be heard.

I first looked into hiring Jake because his DJ name - DJ Etch-A-Sketch just called out to me. Little did I know he'd be the perfect addition to our special day! From our first meeting he was responsive, fun, and really listened to what my husband and I wanted. I am SUPER picky about music and had a vision for how I wanted the musical vibe of our wedding to be and Jake absolutely NAILED IT. All of my guests loved the playlist and it led to some great memories like screaming Fall Out Boy at the top my lungs with my friends! He also hit all of the music cues for our ceremony spot on. And on top of all of that he is super affordable! We truly could not be happier with our decision to hire Jake.

Jake killed it! We had a kinda neurotic description of the “vibe” of our wedding and he matched the musical energy perfectly ! Also on the day, there were weird logistical and AV issues and Jake handled it all with no problems. During the dance party he did a great job feeling the vibe of the crowd and adjusting music accordingly. So great all around

We had to postpone our wedding a year due to the pandemic and Jake was more than accommodating. It was so easy to work with him, and in addition to his excellent MC skills, all the music he played was perfect. Jake made sure to include every song we asked for and our guests had an amazing time singing along. We even had a last-minute change that he took care of flawlessly! hired Jake to DJ my wedding, and I'm so happy we did! He was great to work with, very professional, and was willing to work with me time and time again when I had to keep rescheduling due to COVID. Jake not only did an amazing job DJing our wedding, but he was so easy to work with. He was very responsive and professional from day one. I really trusted him, actually relieving me of some planning stress. (This is hard to find, especially when planning a COVID wedding!!)
We were told by our venue the night before the wedding nobody was allowed to dance after telling us up until that point that we could. This worried me as we hired Jake to DJ for 5 hours. Kinda awkward if nobody can dance!
The day of, another vendor screwed up earlier in the day, pushing the wedding festivities back a bit. By the time we got to the reception our timeline was all over the place. I've learned to go with the flow planning a wedding this year and luckily Jake once again relieved me of potential stress by handling the wonky timeline with grace. He worked with us on the fly and made sure all the important things got done.
By the end of the night, with the help of Jake's awesome taste in music and DJ skills, quite a few people were having such a great time that they even snuck onto the dance floor! People kept telling us how much fun they were having and most importantly, my husband and I had the time of our lives. Jake had a major role in making our day feel smooth because he rolled with the punches with us!

Jake was perfect. He accommodated everyone’s playlist, even a four year old. He was available before the wedding for all arrangements, arrived early and took care of everything we asked of him. He even dressed in the Bollywood attire of the wedding. He couldn’t have done anymore or any better. We will definitely use him again.

We had Etch-A-Sketch for a bachelor party and he killed it. My friends have a wide variety of music tastes (read: they’re annoying music snobs), but Etch was able to find a sweet spot that everyone loved. I felt that he had an uncanny ability to read the room, plus an insanely diverse collection of music. Classics mixed with current. We’re still talking about that night!
