I first looked into hiring Jake because his DJ name - DJ Etch-A-Sketch just called out to me. Little did I know he'd be the perfect addition to our special day! From our first meeting he was responsive, fun, and really listened to what my husband and I wanted. I am SUPER picky about music and had a vision for how I wanted the musical vibe of our wedding to be and Jake absolutely NAILED IT. All of my guests loved the playlist and it led to some great memories like screaming Fall Out Boy at the top my lungs with my friends! He also hit all of the music cues for our ceremony spot on. And on top of all of that he is super affordable! We truly could not be happier with our decision to hire Jake. -

Jake killed it! We had a kinda neurotic description of the “vibe” of our wedding and he matched the musical energy perfectly ! Also on the day, there were weird logistical and AV issues and Jake handled it all with no problems. During the dance party he did a great job feeling the vibe of the crowd and adjusting music accordingly. So great all around -

We had to postpone our wedding a year due to the pandemic and Jake was more than accommodating. It was so easy to work with him, and in addition to his excellent MC skills, all the music he played was perfect. Jake made sure to include every song we asked for and our guests had an amazing time singing along. We even had a last-minute change that he took care of flawlessly! We would highly recommend Jake for any event, especially weddings. If you’re looking for someone who is kind, professional, responsive, and experienced, DJ Etch-A-Sketch is the best! -

hired Jake to DJ my wedding, and I'm so happy we did! He was great to work with, very professional, and was willing to work with me time and time again when I had to keep rescheduling due to COVID. The dancing was one of the best parts of our wedding & the dance floor was packed the whole night! The music & dancing was one of my highest priorities for wedding planning, and totally delivered, and for a great price too. He did an awesome job & I'd definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ. -

I was put in charge of the DJ for my sister's wedding. When the DJ we had canceled at the last minute I considered just making a Spotify playlist and calling it a day, but I'm so glad I didn't.
DJ Etch-A-Sketch was perfect! I found him on a random Google search and loved the name. He seemed like a fun, slightly nerdy DJ that would be great for our crowd. Luckily he was available and we worked out what it would take to get him there.
As soon as he arrived I knew I had made the right choice. He was a super fun-loving-guy but also just got straight to business getting set up. He flowed the music in and out with the mood perfectly, read the crowd and dropped the obscure 90's jams that they all loved, and he was also really good at getting people out on the dance floor. Our family is a little nerdy and reserved but he used the right mix of humor and encouragement (with some light prodding) to get people dancing. I never thought a DJ would get people moving like that but he was great.
About half-way through the night I also realized just how many headaches this guy had saved me... All the time I would have had to spend figuring out the playlist, how to get the system up and moving, understanding the flow of the night... He just showed up, asked for a basic rundown of the plan, and took care of the rest from there. It was amazing.
If you need a DJ for your wedding, I can't recommend DJ Etch-A-Sketch enough. Just hire him. -

Jake is amazing! Planning a wedding can get stressful, but nothing about booking with Jake added to our stress. He's super easy to work with, did everything we asked AND had an incredible vinyl catalog as well. He's got great taste in music and can get people on the dancefloor. He's also funny and charming and a bunch of our guests commented on what a great job he was doing. Book Jake for sure! -

Jake did an excellent job DJing our wedding! He was very professional and allowed us to create the musical environment that we wanted. Jake is a pleasure to work with and we would recommend that you consider him for your event.
Our venue required we make use of their specific speaker system. Jake made available his hardware, which I wish we could have made use of. If you book Jake for an event, consider renting his speakers/hardware, as well, as our venue's was sub-par and I wish we could have used Jake's.
