My fiancé and I worked with Miriam to customize a ring, and she was absolutely phenomenal! Originally, we went in to look and get ideas. We were welcomed in and treated like old friends while we browsed. Miriam was very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable (of course!), and respectful of our budget. She also found amazing stone options within our budget that I wouldn't have expected! We didn't even bother going to another store to even look after seeing the craftsmanship and selection. Miriam was incredibly insightful and helpful. She helped me through the entire process of customizing, ordering, and insuring the engagement ring, and you could literally see the difference in the quality of her product versus the products of large chains under a microscope. She was very respectful of my budget and gave me options that fit my needs to the best of her ability.

While the setting of my engagement ring is structurally sound, key design decisions were assumed rather than clearly discussed or approved. During my final visit, as I attempted to raise concerns, the owner, Miriam, was openly drinking alcohol during business hours while conducting business with me. This contributed to a sense that the process was not handled with the professionalism we expected.

We relied on her expertise to guide us through the design process, but critical choices were made on our behalf and only became clear after the ring was completed. Most importantly, these assumptions have severely limited our wedding band options. My fiancé and I are currently in the middle of shopping for bands, and this design has put the process on hold.

Because this design choice was made without fully explaining the long-term implications, my ring now requires either a custom curved band or expensive modification to the setting in order to wear a wedding band properly. This is a long-term compromise we never would have agreed to if the implications had been clearly explained.

When we raised our concerns, responsibility was placed entirely on us and we were expected to pay thousands of dollars to correct an issue that could have been avoided with proper guidance during the design process.

For something as permanent and meaningful as an engagement ring, clients deserve full transparency, thoughtful presentation of alternatives, and clear approval of every design decision. That did not happen here.
