We found Dream Destination Weddings after scouring reviews for a wedding planning team in the Dominican Republic. Planning a wedding is hard, planning a destination wedding, site unseen from the US was so daunting. But Wendy and Maddy (and Danny!) made all of our dreams, hopes, and pinterest boards come to life! We started planning 1 year in advance, the monthly zoom meetings were very convenient and flexible. Wendy and Maddy immediately understood our vision and the shared Pinterest board was a hit. Communication with this team was wonderful, they were always extremely prompt and forthcoming. We planned a 20 person wedding on the beachside, garden grounds of a villa (Villa Cocomar in Caberete). Like with all wedding planning journeys we had some hiccups along the way but this team came through with even better alternate plans! Just a few weeks before the wedding our musicians fell through due to COVID travel issues, Maddy and Wendy found an incredibly talented local 3 piece orchestral band who played all of our song requests including some Persian pieces. So special! We wanted to incorporate a Persian rug in the ceremony, difficult to find in the Dominican Republic but somehow Maddy came through with a gorgeous rug! We wanted the event to be romantic, classic, but still boho/beachy, and this team NAILED IT. The floral arch, the charceuterie style grazing table, tapas, dessert table, and naked cake came out perfect! No detail went untouched! The team of chefs, wait staff, DJs, light/sound, and florist/decorator that Dream Destination Weddings has in the Dominican Republic is something straight out of a TLC wedding show or a movie. Maddy was the ultimate coordinator the days leading up to the wedding and especially on the day event itself. She simultaneously wiped my over-emotional tears and waved her magic wand to to orchestrate every detail into place. Our guests are still raving about how dreamy, aesthetic, and gorgeous our wedding was! (I think the photos speak for themselves, credit to our lovely photographers Phosphilic). When we say this team went above and beyond, we truly mean it. They even helped us plan, coordinate, and execute different excursions through the wedding week for our guests. The seafood boil rehearsal dinner, catamaran boat trip, fishing trip, and golf outings were a smashing success. Wendy, Maddy, and Danny welcomed us into their family and we are forever grateful for all their hardwork, unending patience, love and exquisite attention to detail.

Maddy was so amazing! She was dealing with the most stressed and indecisive bride (me!!! Lol) and handled the situation with professionalism and grace! After several failed attempts with other planners Maddy came through and put together a beautiful ceremony/reception in 4 weeks!!! Her spirit is beautiful and she was absolutely lovely to work with! Maddy’s clear and direct communication made the weeks leading up to our wedding a little less challenging and for that I will forever be grateful. She truly loves what she does and it shows! You will not be disappointed working with Maddy, I’d choose her before looking at any resort venues 1,000 over!! My husband, a man of few words, was extremely impressed with how Maddy and her team made our day so special! Trust me when I tell you….You will not be disappointed with Maddy or her team! We booked a week long family trip for 23 people to go to the Mayan Riviera. As we went through the process of picking a place Andrew and Nichole were totally patient and provided us with lots of options. Once it came time to book they worked with the whole group to make sure everything went well, and it did! We spent a memorable week at the Iberostar, the flights the Hotel check-in, the rooms, the shuttles, all went flawlessly. We were all together in a building right by the pool. Everyone had a wonderful week, it is a vacation we will always remember!

Maddy did an amazing job with our wedding in the Dominican Republic. It was everything we had hoped for. We could not have imagined a better day.

Maddy, from Destination Dream Weddings, and her team were more than wedding planners, she planned our entire wedding weekend to include the rehearsal dinner, scheduling excursions for my guests, a last-minute wedding nail emergency, as well as finding a catamaran that would fit all of our guests! She provided the logistics support and cat hearding for all of our guests in getting them where they needed to be on-time. For the wedding day Maddy had creative license and with nothing more than a couple of pinterest pictures for inspiration, she ensured our day was absolutely beautiful. She even surprised us with alpaca cookies that had our initials! Having Maddy as our wedding planner allowed us to have the wedding experience we wanted in an unfamiliar paradise!

Maddy and her team did a phenomenal job of making our dream wedding come true. Maddy gave fantastic suggestions for a photographer and hair/ makeup artist that truly both blue our socks off. Her chef did an amazing job and we still cannot figure out how they put out such an amazing spread of food from a kitchen the size of a closet. The serving staff were amazing and the DJ kept our small wedding grouo of 22 on the dance floor. Everything was just as we pictured from decor, flowers, lighting, the cake and the ceremony. Maddy has a knack for truly getting to know you as a couple and basically reading your mind on what you want.

In less than a week Maddy made everything possible. Everything I asked for and more she delivered. Everything was beautiful, including herself; great service & professional!

Wendy and Andrew are a dynamic duo! They took care of every task behind the scenes with ease. My husband and I were so relaxed during our wedding day and we owe it all to them. It was so great to have someone to vendors and family members to ask questions of. I feel like Wendy really listened to understand the vision I had for the day and delivered beyond our dreams. We would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding!

Wendy was truly a godsend for Steven and me. We initially started off planning a Canadian wedding, but that was scrapped for several reasons. Wendy recalibrated, knowing we wanted a mountainside wedding, and scoured the U.S. from east to west coast to find us the perfect venue. And she definitely succeeded! We could not have asked for a better wedding planning experience, and Wendy was there every step of the way taking the lead to coordinate with the venue and vendors. We are so thankful that we found Destination Dream Wedding and had the opportunity to work with Wendy. It was the perfect day due in large part to Wendy's hard work.

Wendy and Maddy were amazing, so professional and kind. From the beginning stages Wendy was so knowledgeable and made the process so much easier. Her and Maddy were so quick to respond to our requests and they always made sure we had meetings to talk about our ideas and wishes for the big day.

They understood our budget and never tried to go over it, Wendy always looked at ways we could save. She even went to the extent of personally sending me pictures of venues in the Dominican so that I would have a better idea.

The planning process was so easy with Wendy and Maddy, they’re both such kind woman.
