Perfect Hotel for Our Wedding!

We had our wedding at the Delamar West Hartford on Saturday June 24th and the entire weekend was just incredible. The entire team at the Delamar went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend the best time ever, for us and for all of our family and friends. They are all so thoughtful, detail-oriented, professional, respectful, and caring people here. There are so many people we would like to personally thank, including Erin, Diana, Debbie, Dom, Charlie, Lourdes and so many more. Everyone on the team was just so hard-working and accommodating and flexible. We were initially super upset about having to cancel our outdoor wedding plans due to getting rained out, but they made our ballroom ceremony gorgeous and intimate and magical, and we wouldn't have had it any other way. The food was also incredible, and everyone was raving out it. Our family and friends also really enjoyed their stays and were raving about how immaculate and comfortable this hotel is! The Delamar West Hartford is without a doubt the best place in all of CT to have an event, and we would do it all over again if we could!!!

Amazing Experience!

We were so thrilled with our wedding at the Delamar this summer! From our first meeting with Erin to our wedding day, I always felt like she had thought through all of the details. The ballroom and dance floor were the perfect size for our 165-person wedding. We loved the combination of indoor and outdoor spaces for cocktail hour and beautiful décor of the hotel. Our tasting was incredibly delicious and it gave us peace of mind to walk through the wedding day with Erin and Debbie. It felt like we were their only priority and we never felt like a burden checking in on the smallest of details. They were able to customize the menu design for us to resemble our invitation and the signature drinks were a big hit. Erin and Debbie really went above and beyond to make our day stress-free, from greeting us with our signature drinks as we arrived for the reception to setting us up with a private plate of delicious hor devours at the start of cocktail hour. The rest of the staff was also very attentive and friendly. It was incredibly helpful that they set up and took down all of our décor and brought our gifts to our room at the end of the night. We ended the night with an afterparty at the tavern, and Debbie walked around handing out slippers to anyone with sore feet! Overall, we could not have been happier with our choice of the Delamar!!

Wedding review

Everyone was so kind and responded to my many questions promptly. We had an amazing wedding day. Everything was so beautiful and classy. Our guests raved about the hotel and the food! Would definitely recommend this venue.

Delightful Delamar

The majority of our guests were visiting from out-of-state and stayed in the hotel; we received so many comments about how lovely of an experience it was for them start to finish . It was personalized, unique and beautiful, which one may not necessarily expect from a hotel as a wedding venue. We received tons of compliments about the food, citing “the best wedding food they have ever had.”

As hosts, the experience was even more enjoyable. My parents are in Chicago and were apprehensive about how feasible it would be for them to be involved in the planning and execution. Erin Neagle was our primary point of contact and was, hands down, incredible to work with— so professional, kind, and enthusiastic. My parents felt heard and valued throughout the process.

They flew out for the meal tasting and joined us, along with my mother-in-law, and it was such an unexpected highlight that we were not expecting (I’m not a foodie by any standard)— being able to taste the dishes, and talk to the chef, try the wines was such an elevated experience, making us all the more excited for the event itself.

We also used the florist based in the hotel (I should note, an entirely separate business entity), who did a beautiful job with the centerpieces and florals. I didn’t feel the service and collaboration was nearly as client-oriented as the rest of the Delamar (which sets a very high standard) but ultimately were happy with the product.

An exceptional all around experience

More than a month later, my friends are still raving about our daughter's wedding reception that was held at the West Hartford Delamar. It was unanimous among our guests that it was the best food they had ever been served at a wedding. What's more, the Delamar takes your guests entree orders at the table, no choosing your entree a month in advance, very unique. The dessert, which is included, was absolutely lovely. A trio which included chocolate, creme brulee and a fruit sorbet; wonderfully delicious. What makes the Delamar so delightful, is that it is a beautiful hotel with staff that go above and beyond to make your experience at the hotel memorable, and dare I say perfect. Our wedding was in December, so the hotel was beautifully appointed for the Christmas holiday. Erin and Debbie made the process of planning the reception pleasurable and seamless. The tasting that is offered for the wedding menu selection is fabulous, an event in itself. While the bride and groom lived in Connecticut, 90% of our guests traveled to Connecticut for the wedding, most from Chicago. Consequently, we had a significant room block, which Diana was instrumental in helping us navigate. Everyone who stayed at the hotel said it was one of the nicest, if not the nicest hotel they have ever stayed in. Such an elegant venue, offering personal services and wonderful amenities. We were just so pleased with our experience. You simply can't go wrong in choosing the West Hartford Delamar.

Delamar is perfection!!

We had our wedding reception, after party, and brunch at the Delamar, and we couldn’t be happier with everything. From our very first meeting a year out, everything was seamless, easy, well-communicated, cohesive, and organized. The food at all events was phenomenal, the service was impeccable, and everyone spoke so highly of the extremely courteous and professional staff.

I wish we could have another wedding just to party again at the Delamar! Thank you for everything! And special shout outs to Erin and Debbie for making our day so wonderful!!

Exceptional

Choosing the Delamar as our venue was the best decision! The level of service at every level was exceptional from the initial inquiries to the day of and brunch the following day. Guests are still raving about the food, which was delicious. I can't recommend The Delamar enough as a perfect wedding venue.

Wonderful place to have wedding reception!

We were so pleased with our experience at the Delamar West Hartford for our wedding reception!! The staff truly went above and beyond, especially since we had our wedding during the pandemic. It was a pleasure working with Erin (Director of Catering). She is very responsive and professional. She helped us figure out how we could safely have our reception at the Delamar West Hartford. The food was outstanding, and our guests are still raving about how the meal was so delicious and unique. The hotel's decor is stunning and has great spots to take pictures. We highly recommend this venue!

Great experience with our Delamar wedding!

We had the wedding of our dreams at the Delamar! The entire team was a pleasure to work with. The hotel is stunning, the cocktail hour space was perfect, the food was phenomenal, and the ballroom was a dream. The room itself is beautiful, but can be transformed into whatever your desired wedding aesthetic may be. Highly, highly recommend considering the Delamar as your wedding venue.
