As the mother of the bride, planning an event from across the country, I have to say that the Deer Mountain Inn exceeded every expectation we had for our daughter's wedding. Our planner, Charlotte, was invaluable as a resource for vendors, and her patience and expertise were exceptional. The setting on the mountain top was exquisite, the staff was welcoming and professional, and the food was "the best wedding food, ever" according to all of our guests. Staying at the Deer Mountain Inn was an added delight, with perfectly appointed rooms and a generous, delicious breakfast each morning. The Inn is beyond picturesque, and the attic space was a perfect setting for the after party. Everything went smoothly, and we are so happy we made the decision to have the wedding at the Deer Mountain Inn. It was magical! No regrets, ten out of ten stars! We will be sure to return, to enjoy the beauty, and memories, again.

Deer Mountain Inn was the perfect wedding venue for our daughter and her (now) husband! When we first visited Deer Mountain Inn back in October 2024 we went to just check out the venue not knowing what to expect and it was the first venue we visited.  We instantly fell in love with DMI! The Inn is cozy and welcoming and the employees so kind and hardworking. The rooms are also well appointed and comfortable. We loved admiring the artwork as well. Our daughter and her fiancé knew this was the spot they wanted for their wedding! 
We were thrilled that the date they wanted was available and we booked it in January 2025. 
We worked closely with Maureen and Charlotte and they were diligent about sending spreadsheets over to Emily (our daughter) and scheduling monthly calls starting from the very beginning.  They kept us on track and helped with all of the vendors and also made suggestions if needed.
It was so helpful in the planning process and since we live about five hours from Tannersville we relied on Charlotte to help and guide us through the process.
We did visit about three additional times during the planning process and we were always treated with a smile and any questions or concerns were addressed. We often commented how the planning process was fun, exciting and left us all at ease.
When we visited for the menu tasting we were blown away. The food was excellent and notes were taken after each course to make sure they were to our liking.  The custom cocktails were tailored to Emily and Elliott's liking and once again notes taken.
As the wedding weekend approached, we knew we were in excellent hands! Charlotte set up a group text message and made sure whatever we asked was answered quickly. We were also given a detailed timeline for all of those involved in the wedding...
The wedding day went beyond smoothly! It was a picture perfect day! The grounds looked beautiful, everyone was busy working around the Inn making sure everything looked perfect and so many smiles from all of us and the staff! 
We all shuttled up the mountain for the ceremony which is so spectacular! Our guests, many who had never been to the Catskills, were blown away! We then proceeded down the mountain to the cocktail hour...greeted by Alex and others with signature cocktails and wine! Our guests raved about the seafood bar and the passed hors d'oeuvres! We then made our way to the beautiful tent and enjoyed the most delicious meal! Our family and friends are still raving about the food almost two months later! One guest said "I feel like I just had dinner at a five star restaurant!" The Jane's sundae was an excellent way to end the evening! 
I could go on and on about how special Deer Mountain Inn is...it was a magical, perfect day! The youngsters finished the evening in the attic for an after party and said "this is the best after party ever!"
I can't thank Charlotte, Alex, Logan, Maureen and Chef Corwin Kave as well as all of the employees!  We feel like we are part of the Deer Mountain Inn family. They worked so hard and smiles and laughs were plentiful all weekend long! As we look over the pictures that we recently received from the photographer, we have nothing but wonderful memories and we are so happy we chose Deer Mountain Inn! 

There is nothing like a wedding at the Deer Mountain Inn. The food, the service, the setting, everything was incredible. DMI is such a picturesque and unique place, and every part of the day feels like its own special experience, while flowing together seamlessly. The guest experience is truly unmatched, and we had so many friends tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Beyond the wedding day itself, the team at the DMI is an absolute dream to work with. Charlotte (their in-house planner) is incredible, thoughtful, calm, organized, and so good at what she does. The team has the logistics down to a science, and as a bride, I woke up that morning knowing everything was in the best hands and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. It was so incredibly special to get married at Deer Mountain Inn, and we feel so lucky that this is the place we’ll always get to look back on as where we started our marriage. Thank you, Charlotte and the entire DMI team, for giving us the wedding of our dreams.

We could not have asked for a better wedding venue than Deer Mountain Inn. The setting is beautiful, but what truly distinguishes DMI is the quality of the team. Every detail was handled with such professionalism that we were able to be fully present with our family and friends rather than worrying about what was happening behind the scenes.

The food is exceptional. Choosing our menu was difficult because everything was so good, and countless guests have told us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding.

Throughout the planning process, the team adapted seamlessly to changes while keeping the weekend personal and true to what we wanted. The result was elevated and beautifully executed without ever feeling overly produced or cookie-cutter.

For couples looking for an extraordinary setting, excellent food, thoughtful hospitality, and a team you can completely trust, we cannot recommend Deer Mountain Inn highly enough. We are incredibly grateful for the experience they created for us and our guests.

The Deer Mountain Inn is truly one-of-a-kind. We visited in early January 2025 shortly after getting engaged and fell in love with the location & property. Situated in a quiet area, the Inn and surrounding grounds and beautifully maintained. The inside of the Inn is perfectly put together with beautiful art and decor - it was the perfect upscale "woodsy chic" retreat we were looking for.

As soon as we signed our contract, we received incredible support from the whole DMI team. Having support throughout the whole planning process, including curated vendor lists & suggestions, was incredibly helpful. Everyone question, concern, ask, etc. was handled flawlessly.

The whole weekend itself was magical and both us & our guests felt like we were staying at some incredible family property. The team was so thoughtful - helping my husband with his bow tie, delivering mimosas to me & the bridal party, driving us up the mountain for photos. We really couldn't have asked for anything more. Our guests were SO IMPRESSED with the food, the staff, and the attention to detail. I would relive the day over & over if I could!!

Deer Mountain Inn is the perfect place to get married. Maureen, Charlotte, and the whole team were fantastic to work with. The food and beverage program is exceptional - our guests all said that it was the best food that they had ever had at a wedding. We got married there in mid/late October and the foliage on the mountain top was perfect. It was everything I could have ever hoped for and more. We couldn't recommend DMI more highly!

We had our wedding at Deer Mountain and it was absolutely beautiful! 
The ceremony on the mountain top is breathtaking. The lawn provides a great space for the reception tent and the porch a magical space for cocktail hour. 
Maureen and Charlotte were an absolute dream to work with. They handled everything so smoothly and I had complete trust in their team.  They were so helpful during the whole wedding planning process that when it came to the day of there was no stress at all. 
The food at DMI is absolutely incredible too. 
Highly recommend for wedding venue if you are up for a cozy, intimate feeling venue but it does require a lot of logistical planning. Rental costs are high and transportation if you have a lot of guests. 
It’s worth it though! 

Deer Mountain Inn is in a league of its own when it comes to weddings. We picked DMI for the beautiful setting and food & beverage, but our magical wedding day truly exceeded our expectations on every level. The DMI team is unparalleled, and the execution of the food was incredible. Charlotte and Maureen handled every detail perfectly. We were honored that multiple guests told us that "it was the best wedding they'd ever attended." If you visit, you'll fall in love with Deer Mountain Inn, but the service level and execution were really what astounded us! We feel so lucky that we found DMI! Wish we could do it all over again :)

We had the absolute best time working with the Deer Mountain Inn team. They are extremely knowledgeable about the world of weddings and made sure we stayed organized throughout the whole process. The Inn is the most beautiful place to get married no matter what the weather!
