Every couple dreams of the perfect backdrop for their special day. They hope that the venue and everybody involved will provide the canvas that upon which they can both convey the love they have for each other as well as provide lasting memories for all those that they have chosen to share and celebrate their wedding day with.

Only how many couples truly understand and are fortunate enough to find the right people - until it is too late -- that will provide the level of detail, attention, empathy, and collaboration it takes to make sure your shared vision does become a reality when that day arrives?

Deer Mountain Inn, coordinators Maureen & Nick, and by extension, the entire staff and vendors that were part of our fall wedding did exactly that when they provided the most surreal and magical day and experience from which to start our shared lives together.

At every step in the process Deer Mountain Inn reinforced to us that we made the perfect choice for our special day and were working with people that cared as much (perhaps even more) as we did about how our wedding day turned out.

From beginning to end, including, but not just limited to; selecting, arranging and coordinating the efforts of multiple vendors - to tending to any unexpected 'day of' fire drills that are inevitable, we never worried one moment how it would all come together.

In our most humblest opinion, if you and your soon to be significant other are considering a fall wedding in the Catskill Mountains - or at any time during the year - there is no substitute for the ambience, accomodations, natural beauty, and options Deer Mountain Inn provides.

Our wedding at Deer Mountain Inn was nothing short of magical! From start to finish, the experience exceeded all our expectations. The staff, led by the exceptional wedding coordinators Maureen and Nick, were incredibly attentive and responsive. During the 10 months of wedding planning process, they were available for any questions or concerns we had day or night, making the planning process seamless and stress-free.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning, providing the perfect backdrop for our special day- bonus that we had incredible foliage the entire weekend and pure sun!!! Many of our guests are already talking about returning on their own to enjoy the beauty of the location with their significant others and families.

The food was another highlight—simply delicious (which is unlike any wedding I have ever attended) Every dish was beautifully presented and received rave reviews from our guests. The drinks were equally impressive, crafted to perfection and enjoyed by everyone throughout the evening. The bartenders at Deer Mountain Inn really know what they're doing- the Mrs. signature drink was a delicious spicy prickly pear margarita and the Mr. signature drink was a Penicillin. Both flowing all night and so good. With a wedding our size (116) I was shocked at how quickly the staff was able to get drinks to our guests. Also, the canapes and oyster station at our cocktail hour was incredible and a huge fan favorite. Just really delicious food overall.

Overall, Deer Mountain Inn provided an unforgettable experience, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding. We could not recommend this venue more!!!!

Dear Mountain Inn is just a really beautiful place in a really beautiful area. Maureen and Nick were incredibly helpful and accommodating for some of our specific needs. Planning a wedding is inherently stressful but they made it so much easier. Lastly, the food was actual really good, which is pretty rare at weddings.

All our guest seemed to love it and kept talking about how they were already planning a weekend trip to DMI.

Our wedding at Deer Mountain Inn was nothing short of magical. It was the perfect weekend and everything we could've ever asked for - the service, food, atmosphere, and experience were all top-notch and the staff are so kind, accommodating and professional. DMI is truly a special place, as a wedding venue, but also as a hidden getaway in the Catskills that you'll be nostalgic for the second you leave.

We can't say enough about how incredible Maureen and the DMI team are. The level of hospitality by the entire team is unparalleled. They take care of the bride and groom in a truly first class way, and are constantly looking for ways to continue elevating the experience for guests as well.

Maureen is exactly who you want in your corner throughout the planning process and on the wedding day. She shares great recommendations, knows amazing vendors, never forgets a thing, and always puts you and your family at ease. On our wedding day, it rained more in the Catskills than it had in 25 years. The entire DMI team went above and beyond to make adjustments to existing (sunny weather) plans and create a magical experience throughout the entire day. All of this was done on the fly given the weather and we're so thankful for all their creativity and hard work to make it an unforgettable day.

The team is incredibly friendly, attentive, and focused on bringing your vision to life, all while ensuring the road there is smooth and filled with special experiences along the way.

It was flawless and dynamic. From the gorgeous overlook of the green valley to cocktail hour on the balcony to the ranger in the tent (and after party in the attic), our special day could not have happened anywhere else. Thank you Maureen & DMI staff!

My husband and I were married on the mountain and had our reception in the restaurant at Deer Mountain Inn in October 2022. Not only was it the wedding of our dreams, but the entire process was a pleasure (not something I'm sure a lot of brides can say). The moment I saw DMI, I knew it was the most special place and location we could choose for our wedding. Part of me does not want to give up my little secret of this crowned jewel of the Catskills, but I am more than happy to sing their praises from the mountaintop. - The location/venue/lodge/grounds: 100/10. Truly the most breathtaking space that has been curated to have a cozy yet elegant feel. Staying at DMI is incredible, getting married there was a dream. The grounds are immaculate, the properties pristine, and the staff just as incredible as the location. We wanted a magical spot for our families and friends from across the world to come to and spend the weekend with us celebrating our marriage, and DMI far exceeded our expectations. - The food was fantastic, and second to location/vibe in priorities for us. DMI's restaurant is one of the best in the entire Catskills, in my opinion. We worked closely with the DMI team to craft a seasonal menu for the wedding and every detail was perfect. We still get comments about how we had the "best wedding food" people had ever had. - DMI's events manager - Maureen. She get's her own category. We booked with DMI two years in advance and had the pleasure of working with Maureen through the entire process. She made every step of wedding planning seamless and guided us on the journey, providing advice and vendor recommendations, but also listening to our nerves and wishes with empathy and understanding. She felt like a true partner and friend during the process, which went flawlessly with her guidance and dedication. Day of, we had some trouble with our shuttle vendor, and I had no idea. Maureen coordinated getting everyone up the mountain, and there was not a moment in which I did not feel 100% confident that things were going as planned. The space was coordinated better than I could have pictured. She took our vision and executed it to perfection. We will be forever grateful for the incredible wedding we had at Deer Mountain Inn.

We had previously stayed at the Deer Mountain Inn for a few long weekends and when it came time to pick a wedding venue it was the first choice we thought of. We had a December wedding and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place. If an intimate mountain wedding is what you're thinking of this is the place. Your wedding will feel like you are inviting all your friends and family to your home in the Catskills. The decor of the Deer Mountain Inn is wonderful inside and outside. One of the issues I had with other wedding venues is that their inside space wasn't ideal for a ceremony. The beauty of the DMI is that they have so many different spaces to work with so that no matter the weather both the inside and outside options are perfect! Maureen the Event Director is a pleasure to work with, she kept us organized, answered all our questions, talked through any concerns we had and worked with us to make our wedding a wonderful experience. The food is also amazing, our guests continue to talk about how it was one of the best meals they've ever had (not just for a wedding). Having a wedding at the DMI is truly a unique and special experience!

The culinary experience at Deer Mountain Inn surpassed all expectations. The food and beverage programs were exceptional, with an amazing selection of seasonal dishes that left our guests utterly impressed. Many of them said it was one of the best dining experiences they had ever had, not just in the context of weddings but in general. Even the late-night snacks were out of this world.

The venue itself was ideal for our intimate wedding celebration. The main lodge, where we stayed and held our reception dinner, had a cozy and charming ambiance. We took advantage of the patio for cocktail hours and the attic for late-night gatherings with friends. Being surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Catskills mountains added an enchanting touch to our ceremony. Deer Mountain Inn holds a deeply sentimental place in our hearts, and we continue to cherish our time spent there.

With so many outdoor activities available nearby, DMI offers a multitude of special experiences for guests to enjoy. Whether it's exploring the picturesque surroundings or indulging in the tranquility of the mountaintop views from the inn, there is something truly magical about this place. We eagerly await our next visit, for an opportunity to relive cherished memories and create new ones. Maureen, Nick, and the entire staff at Deer Mountain inn were amazing from start to finish. They are all rockstars and we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding planning experience and the best wedding weekend. Their expertise, attention to detail, and recommendations helped us make our ideal wedding a reality.
We didn’t have a clue about how to plan and wedding and Maureen helped guide us through every step of the planning process (in only 6 months, too!). Maureen and the team handled everything with ease, including last minute changes to our timeline due to weather. Our guest were so impressed by the kindness, attentiveness, and expertise of everyone at Deer Mountain Inn and have been raving about the whole wedding weekend experience, which has been so meaningful to us. Deer Mountain Inn was the PERFECT setting for our celebration. Thank you to Maureen, DMI’s event director, who went above and beyond helping us shape our vision for a cozy and curated dinner party, and to her and the team at the inn bringing it to life. The service is exceptional and the team’s organization, thoughtful touches, and above all phenomenal FOOD had guests coming up to my husband and I as early as 15 minutes into the cocktail hour saying “best wedding ever!” There is a lot of love that goes into every detail at the inn and you can feel that in the events held there. The Deer Mountain Inn is truly one of the most unique and beautiful places to have a wedding. And it's now one of our favorite places ever! I randomly stumbled across it on Instagram and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Our wedding in June was so special, and it's because of the charm of the Catskills, the Inn, and all the amazing people who work here. Maureen, Nick, and the entire DMI team are fantastic. They went above and beyond for us the past six months continuously planning, and making sure each detail was checked off of the list. They made our families and guests feel welcome and taken care of. I cannot thank them enough for how amazing our day and entire stay were. From the mountaintop ceremony to cocktail hour, and reception, each transition was flawless. If not for the charm of the Inn, the rooms, views, aesthetics, etc.; the food... is something guests are still talking about. I cannot recommend this place enough to celebrate. My husband and I feel so lucky to have DMI as a part of our story and we can't wait to go back to visit.

We had the most wonderful weekend celebrating our wedding at Deer Mountain Inn at the end of August 2024. From the very first time we visited the Inn, the venue, staff and food & beverage program stood out to us and we just knew that we had to have our wedding here. The private mountaintop boasts a breathtaking view, the Inn is luxurious and cozy, and the experience is nothing short of magical. Deer Mountain Inn is the perfect Catskills oasis. Maureen and Nick, the Events Directors at DMI, were such a pleasure to work alongside in planning our special day and made the stressful moments feel calm. Both Maureen and Nick took the time to understand what we wanted for our wedding weekend and thoughtfully helped us make the right decisions for vendors and all the details - big and small.

We visited Deer Mountain Inn three times before our wedding and each stay was better than the last. We got to know many of the staff at DMI and can't say enough about how warm, thoughtful and extremely talented they all are.

Our wedding day was everything we wanted it to be and more and can't imagine being able to pull it off without the dream team at DMI. If you are looking for a wedding venue upstate, that is not far from NYC - Deer Mountain Inn is the most special place you will find and we cannot recommend it enough. We look forward to going back to visit every year to create even more memories at a place that now feels like home.

The Deer Mountain Inn was exceptional for our wedding. We cannot say better things about the service / staff, food and setting (not to mention the beautiful rooms!). Maureen and Nick were incredibly helpful and attentive as wedding planners. Deer Mountain Inn has our emphatic endorsement as a hotel and wedding venue!

A truly special place with even more special people running it. The DMI team anticipates everything and anything you could possibly need, and they are so accommodating while doing it. The size of the Inn is perfect to house your closest friends and family, and the outdoor space can host pretty much everyone you know. The area itself is growing and has recently added a bunch of great hotels and restaurants to keep your guests close and entertained. The food for the wedding is all made in house and is incredible, so that's one less vendor you need to worry about.

I almost don't want to write this review because I want to keep this secret to myself, but we had such a special celebration because of this place and the people who work there and it wouldn't be right to tell others about it. I can't recommend DMI enough.

We got married at the DMI in January, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Maureen was super helpful throughout the whole process—there’s no way we could’ve pulled off a wedding without her. We wanted a relaxed weekend with our closest friends, great food and wine, and beautiful surroundings. The DMI delivered without fail. Friends tell us ours is the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever attended.

My husband, Ben, and I got married at Deer Mountain Inn in September of 2022, and to say that DMI was our dream venue is an understatement. The property is absolutely gorgeous, the grounds are immaculately maintained (including the beautiful gardens), and the lodge is the perfect balance of natural, rambling Catskills beauty and warm, charming, inviting log cabin. You can't help but feel immediately at home when you walk into Deer Mountain Inn. The food is delicious and unique (we STILL get compliments from guests about the menu) and the beverage director was incredibly helpful in curating our specialty cocktails (again, we STILL get compliments on our featured drinks). And the cherry on top? The incredible overlook nestled above the lodge, where we held our ceremony, has an unreal 270 degree view of the surrounding mountains. It's hard not to feel awestruck being in that space. But what sets Deer Mountain Inn apart as a venue, even when you take into account its jaw dropping beauty, is the people. Every single person who we worked with at DMI to make our wedding the most memorable weekend of our lives was kind, generous, professional, and inviting. Even in moments where we felt impatient, frustrated, or stumped by planning or logistics, the staff at DMI always kept a level head and helped guide us towards a solution. There's one person, though, that deserves the most praise, and that's the Events Director, Maureen. Maureen is exactly who you want to steer the ship on helping to plan your big day - she's warm, supportive, organized, able to recommend and connect you to any kind of vendor you're looking for, accommodating, and has an incredible grounding factor that's so important when planning your wedding. What more can we say? We can't recommend Deer Mountain Inn more highly. If you're considering them as your wedding venue, what are you waiting for?

We had our wedding at Deer Mountain Inn last year in June 2022 and every one of our friends and family continue to rave about what an amazing experience it was - the perfect balance of intimate, sophisticated, comfortable and just a fun time! We keep getting asked if we can do it all again (perhaps one day for a vow renewal!) The staff is incredible and make you feel a part of the family. The attention to detail is unparalleled.
