When we found Anna & Andrew, we had planned for a small San Diego elopement, but weeks before the wedding, plans had to drastically change (COVID). We had decided to get married in a different state, Arizona. Which meant in ~2 weeks notice we had to change all of our plans. Except for our photographers, Dear Lovers. We had only hoped they would agree to still photograph our day because of how much we loved their work. We were beyond grateful that they agreed and came to Sedona for our new elopement, and when it came to our wedding day we were even more grateful to them. They made us feel comfortable, and confident. Every time they took a photo we felt like ourselves, which was important to us. I would recommended Dear Lovers Photography just based on how easy it was to work with them.

When we got our photos back, they were everything and more. We found Anna & Andrew on instagram, loving the film photography. The light, airy, timeless and romantic style, that's what we loved and wanted, and that was exactly what they captured for us. In a word their photos are ethereal. We feel lucky to have such amazing photos to cherish forever.

We had such a fun time with Deer Lovers from the very start. Not only were they fun to hang out with, they also had an amazing eye for style, for light, and to help us show our personalities through thier photographs. We had both an engagement shoot and full wedding session with Deer Lovers. Our engagement shoot fully shown both us as a couple and our dog, Cassius Clay. We went all the way out to Descanso, CA to capture the gorgeous evening light and our faces busting with pre-wedding excitement. The images were sent to us very quickly after the engagement shoot and we continued to plan for the wedding day. Both Andrew and Anna helped both Anthony and I to not only stay calm, but to enjoy the moment on the day of our wedding. They both are full of love and encouragement and we felt as if they both were not only photographers, but guests at our wedding. I cannot wait to see the images from our wedding, and truly look forward to having our photos taken again by Deer Lovers.

After we had got engaged, we took some time to start wedding planning. I had seen dear lovers work about a year ago via a friend of mine's wedding. I was inspired by their photos and knew it would be those pictures that would create the memories that would recreate our special day for years to come. Not to mention that they were so timeless and elegant, unlike many of the photographers often recommended by venues and wedding planners during the stages of planning.
Anna and Andrew met us a few months before our wedding when we traveled from New Jersey to San Deigo. We met them at a local coffee shop where they showed us samples of their work and even sweet Anna gave me the most delicious chocolate ever. We instantly felt a connection to them and knew we had to book.

Anna & Andrew made the day of super easy and all about us. They were funny, sweet, organized and makes you feel like you’ve been friends a long time. Most importantly, their work speaks for itself. Our pictures are amazing; just what I had hoped for and more. I cried scrolling through them the first 100 times reliving our perfect day. I would highly recommend Anna and Andrew to anyone who wants to invest in their future photos. To us, it was the most important and best decision we made for our wedding.
