There are three things guests remember most from a wedding: the venue, the food, and the music. We attended a wedding in 2021 where Jason Dawson (DJ JD) was the DJ. He was the only thing I truly remember from that night. He had everyone dancing all evening, read the crowd perfectly, and delivered an unforgettable experience. I made a mental note right then.
When we got engaged, Dawson’s Entertainment was one of the very first vendors we contacted. We specifically requested DJ JD, and luckily, he was available for our date. From our initial meeting, we knew it was a match made in heaven. Beyond being one of the best DJs in New England, Jason is incredibly professional, organized, and most importantly..down to earth. He was easy to talk to, genuinely excited about our vision, and clearly passionate about what he does, which made the experience even more special.
In the months leading up to our wedding, every idea we had was thoughtfully incorporated. We chose music that truly represented us and requested custom loops for the ceremony, which he executed perfectly. Jason was such a joy to work with from start to finish.
On our wedding day, Tom and I were constantly stopped by guests complimenting the DJ. From the prelude and ceremony music, to cocktail hour, dinner, and the open dance floor..he absolutely nailed every moment. He also set up backlighting in our reception space, which was stunning. During dinner, it created the elegant atmosphere we were hoping for, and once dancing began, the lights slowly faded into different colors. It was phenomenal.
The best part of the night was the dancing. The floor was packed the entire time. I only left once to change. I have never danced so much in my life. Even now, we’re still receiving messages about Jason’s set. He worked closely with us on the playlist, and although we were unsure about our final song choice, he gave us the confidence to trust it and it turned out to be the perfect ending to the night. It’s a memory I will cherish forever. He captured the moment too which meant the world to us.

Jason was a fantastic DJ for our wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard! He was attentive and responsive throughout the entire planning process and helped us shape our vision. Jason did the audio for our wedding ceremony perfectly, with many guests noting that we sounded as clear as if we were standing right next to them. He chose songs and mixed throughout the reception by reading the room incredibly and set us up to have a fantastic and fun night without being obtrusive.
