Jason was a fantastic DJ for our wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard! He was attentive and responsive throughout the entire planning process and helped us shape our vision. Jason did the audio for our wedding ceremony perfectly, with many guests noting that we sounded as clear as if we were standing right next to them. He chose songs and mixed throughout the reception by reading the room incredibly and set us up to have a fantastic and fun night without being obtrusive. Many guests commented that he was the best wedding DJ they had heard. We couldn't recommend Dawson more, it was one of the best decisions we made! -

We truly cannot say enough good things about Dawson Entertainment. We had Jason for our DJ for our October 2025 wedding and he was amazing to work with throughout the entire planning process. He was fully engaged and committed to making our visions come to life. The DJ planner we were asked to fill out was extremely thorough and covered every little detail for the entire ceremony & reception which lead to the music throughout the night bring seamless and exactly what we were hoping for. Jason’s MCing and announcing was top notch and he had the dance floor packed all night. We’ve gotten so much positive feedback from guests and we will forever be recommending Dawson Entertainment to everyone. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ experience! -

A fabulous DJ!
Jason was an amazing DJ and we would work with him again! He did the music for our wedding and the sound system for our ceremony. He was very organized, professional, skilled, and easygoing. He was poised and classy throughout the wedding, and was great at gauging the vibe/adjusting the music accordingly. He followed our recommendations exactly. Our guests were really impressed and so were we! We strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a classy, professional, but warm and kind DJ! -

Danced the Night Away!
My husband and I got married in June of this year at Eolia mansion and were lucky enough to work with Dawson Entrainment.
Jason did an incredible job all throughout the night. He seamlessly shared music that different generations of family and friends were all able to enjoy and dance the night away to.
We could not recommend Dawson Entertainment enough to those looking for a talented and fun DJ for their wedding!

We hired DJ Jason Dawson for our wedding and couldnt have been happier! He is the ultimate professional. Everything from the ceremony all the way to the last song of the night of the reception ran very smoothly and exactly how we had envisioned. His transitions from song to song and all of his announcements were A+. I myself dj weddings for a living and we had tons of other DJs in the room and we were all very impressed with Jason. If professional wedding djs seek out Jason to Dj their wedding - you should absolutely do it as well and you will not regret it. Jason is a real DJ. Not one of these 'jukebox djs' that just sit back and play the same 30 songs at every event. He reads the room and does a fantastic job keeping everyone out there, along with incorporating some of our own personal favorite songs. Thanks again JD for being such an important part of our wedding day. It really was the best day of our lives and we wish we could relive this night all over again! -

Tj was absolutely incredible! Everyone had a blast and the dance floor was everything we ever wanted! The music was perfect and the vibes were high. Best of the Best
I met Jason in 2022 when he DJ'd my sister's wedding. We were so impressed by him that my fiance and I chose our wedding date based off his 2024 availability. We had a beautiful November wedding and once again, Jason did not disappoint. He pulled off the impossible and seamlessly transitioned between our contrasted song requests. He began the night with a jazzy vibe while we enjoyed our dinner, got everyone on the dance floor with some early 2000's hits and other crowd favorites, and ended the night by indulging us with our nerdy picks, Kpop and anime OPs. Not a single person wanted to leave the dance floor and guests complimented his set the entire night. Not only did he bring the music, but he worked with our florists to create a beautiful lighting ambiance that complimented our flowers and decor for our reception. Jason is the absolute best at what he does and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ. Thanks again for an unforgettable night! -

We’re SO happy we went with Dawson Entertainment for our wedding day. John was so cool and easy to work with as well as a fantastic, talented DJ! He went with the flow of things and created the perfect vibe we were looking for on our special day. Dawson Entertainment framed the lyrics from our first dance as a wedding gift which really meant a lot to Ryan and me and was such a nice personal touch. Your search for your wedding DJ ends here - Jason is the real deal. As a professional DJ who plays in many settings (not just weddings), he kept our dance floor packed all night with perfect song choices. His MC skills are top-notch, he handles curve balls like a pro, and he brings serious energy to the party.
We had last-minute changes with ceremony mics and he didn't even blink. Total professional who knows exactly what he's doing. If you want a packed dance floor and zero stress about your wedding entertainment, book him now. His calendar fills up fast and I totally get why.

Jason is perhaps the BEST wedding DJ out there. He is professional, organized, flexible, and truly made our day go by so smoothly. He was the most recommended vendor we had and I can see why- we would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat. Our dance floor was PACKED the entire night and he knew how to read the room. If you are hesitant about having a DJ, Jason will not let you down. I am truly impressed with how talented he was and I think he helped make our day so special. One thing I appreciate in working with somebody is their organization. Jason shines in this department: he sent us an excel sheet with every possible consideration a couple would want from a DJ! It asked us for must-play songs, songs NOT to play, age range of guests, whether we wanted a slow dance, whether we had a spotify playlist or not, etc. On top of this, Jason was easy to work with over the phone. All this combined to make an unforgettable night of dancing. Jason is clearly skilled at sensing what the crowd is feeling, while also being receptive to in-the-moment feedback. His sound system is great too - I like my parties loud and Jason came through. Something small that may not matter to most but made a big difference to me is that Jason knew exactly when to use his platform. Instead of being the club DJ who says "are we having a good time?!" Jason lets the music do the talking at the reception. And he's quick on his feet too: he responded to a musical cue hinted at by the maid of honor, which got a laugh out of everybody and is a testament to his sharpness.
We elected to go with two additional services offered by Jason which I want to mention here. The club lighting was great in augmenting the vibe of the dance floor. I believe it made it much easier for people to cut loose. The photo booth was also a huge success. Our guests loved it, and the photo book signed by them is lasting evidence of that. It's a great add-on for couples looking to have a unique wedding favor. I do caution that it is is inevitably going to draw some people from the dance floor, so be sure to time it well.
Above all this, there's one thing that sets DJ JD apart for me: he made a custom mix between two songs for my mother-son dance. I gave him a pretty vague request and he came back with a perfectly engineered tearjerker that was exactly what my mother wanted. This level of service is what you can expect from Jason and why you would be lucky to have him play your wedding. -

TJ Powers w/ Dawson Entertainment was worth every penny! From the beginning of the planning process, he was easy to communicate with, professional & organized! He is very experienced & it showed in the planning process when we had asked for advice. We loved how organized he was with a spreadsheet of our songs/dances/schedules. He didn't miss a beat! Our dance floor was full all night & we got so many compliments. He wasn't just a plain ol wedding DJ, this guy was mixing music on the spot! He was so great & we have already given his contact info to some of our friends! -

Dawson Entertainment provided the party and was a joy to work with. We had TJ as our DJ for our wedding in June 2023 and from the moment we spoke with him on the phone we knew we were going to have a great time.
Leading up to the wedding we worked with Jason on securing Dawson Entertainment for music and uplighting. He was able to figure out the logistics with TJ leading up to the event. A month before we spoke with TJ about our wants and needs for the wedding day. The day of our wedding TJ arrived and set up for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception in a timely manner and the venue looked great. Dawson Entertainment made the process seamless.
We continue to get compliments from our guests on how fantastic TJ was and we agree. He was attentive and listened to us and our guests the day of. He read the crowd very well and knew what volume, tempo and genre of music should be played. We highly recommend Dawson Entertainment to anyone who is looking because overall we had an amazing experience. -

Jason exceeded all of our wedding day expectations from start to finish. We loved that his company included both photobooth and lighting in addition to the DJ services so that it was less vendors overall to communicate with throughout the wedding planning process. Jason was very professional throughout and was very prompt in communicating with us. He is a truly an exceptional DJ and every single one of our guests complimented the music on our wedding day. We had multiple guests tell us that if they could've continued partying all night they would've never left the dance floor! Having seen hundreds of incredible reviews, we had HIGH expectations for Jason Dawson, and yet he still managed to absolutely blow us away and exceed every single one. He is NEXT LEVEL. We were impressed from the very start by his level of organization, communication & kindness, which persisted throughout the entire planning process, and made it so easy and stress-free for us!
We knew we had hired a good one but we had no idea just how insanely talented he truly is. He curated the most immaculate playlist and absolutely nailed every single mix - never in my life have I seen a dancefloor more lively, especially at a wedding! Three weeks later and our guests (of all ages) are still raving about how unbelievable our DJ was and how much fun they had. He truly gave us the wedding reception of our dreams. Even my 81 year-old grandfather, who is a self-proclaimed "grumpy old man," was up on his feet and dancing the entire time. We have some priceless memories thanks to the vibes, the mixes, and the energy that Jason provided. Everything was absolute perfection and we couldn't be more grateful! -

I wish I could aptly express my thanks, appreciation and over-the-moon excitement for Jason Dawson and his music on our wedding day! The rave reviews continue to pour in... he was absolutely AMAZING! People remarked that the music was the BEST they have ever experienced at a wedding! We completely agree--he MADE the whole night (as we knew he would :))!
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and never left the dance floor! Jason was the reason! His first dance set, right after our first dance, set the tone for the whole night--everyone was up dancing. He did our ceremony music as well, plus our lighting and sound. He creatively mixes songs and keeps the music flowing. Jason pays attention to everything you say--he makes you feel like you are his only client. We are now super fans and could do a commercial for Jason!
I appreciated all the time and planning he put into our wedding, starting with the first phone call. His DJ planner spreadsheet was instrumental in ensuring we were all on the same page--he asks you to fill out a lot of information in advance (plus you can update it as time goes on) and it speaks volumes about his attention to detail.
On top of all that, he is a really nice man! It felt like having a family member as our DJ. We can't say enough good things about Jason! -

We hired Dawson entertainment to do our ceremony music and reception. Dawson Entertainment and Jason rock. Jason kept the reception running smoothly.
My husband loves metal and we requested to have music that wasn’t as traditional (Judas Priest and Metallica) and Jason delivered. We danced all evening and before we knew it the wedding was over.

We hired Dawson Entertainment for our wedding on 10/2/2022 in Rehoboth, MA, and it was one of the BEST choices that we made for the day! We had DJ John Cardona and he had our dance floor full the ENTIRE night. Dawson was recommended to us after our original DJ cancelled on us just two months before our wedding, but thankfully Dawson was available and our original DJ cancelling was a blessing in disguise!!! Right from our initial inquiry, it was clear that Jason and John were extremely organized and professional. The music planning form that we filled out was easy to navigate and great for planning. DJ John was able to take our requests and form an entire PERFECT playlist that absolutely nailed the vibe we were going for. He did such a great job of transitioning and mixing songs. He was also great on the mic as an MC. The compliments have not stopped coming in! Highly, highly recommend them for your next event!! -

We got married on 6/11/22 at Mount Hope Farm in Bristol, RI. Dawson Entertainment was the BEST OF THE BEST! From start to finish, we could not have asked for a better experience. The initial call with Jason and John immediately put us at ease - we wanted a very particular vibe for our wedding day and Jason and John quickly understood our vision. This was only perfected by their use of a detailed google doc where we fine-tuned our music choices for our special day (including must plays, do not plays, etc.)
We had DJ John Cardona for our wedding day and we feel so lucky to have had such a wonderful DJ with us all day! John was at our venue playing music for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He handled everything with ease and confidence - he absolutely killed it! We had created Spotify playlists for our cocktail hour / dinner reception and he pulled from those, while adding in his own flair. For the dancing portion of the night, he played music that got EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE on the dance floor all night long!!!! To quote my aunt, "Your DJ is the BOMB!!!"

I could honestly not have better things to say about this company! Jason was super responsive and the services were very adorable! All of the lights were stunning and the photo booth was a huge hit at the wedding. The gentleman manning it was incredible and was sure to remind my husband and I to get in for some pictures! We booked Dawson prior to our venue and worked around his availability from there. He was our one non-negotiable. He didn't disappoint! The feedback has been electric, from "that was the best wedding ever" to "you guys throw a heck of a party" and more. Dawson didn't miss a beat. His consultation process was seamless and professional. And he showed up big on game day.
His ability to read a room and keep the party moving is next level, he did not miss with his track selection, his transitions are too smooth and he was an absolute pleasure to work with all around.

We are so grateful that we found Jason at Dawson Entertainment! Starting right off the bat, Jason had this incredible spreadsheet of what we needed to decide on and links to his spotify playlists for different song options. This made the entire process of figuring out what we needed to do extremely easy and made my inner nerd happy! Jason is extremely professional and an amazing DJ; he is easy to talk to and has many great ideas to enhance the ceremony. We highly recommend Dawson Entertainment! Jason was amazing to work with and communicated with us from a postponed 2020 wedding through to our Oct. 2021 wedding day! He was very responsive and listened to all of our ideas. Not only was our music totally on point and our guests were dancing all night long, but the lighting that Jason set up at Saltwater Farm was absolutely spectacular! We had asked to extend the typical Edison wall backdrop to cover the whole back wall and he was so open to our idea and was at the venue bright and early setting it all up for us! It rained on our wedding day, so we were a little upset with not being able to have our ceremony and cocktail hour outside, however as soon as we saw the room set up and the lighting that Jason had done we forgot all about the rain! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about them and it made the night feel even more magical than we had envisioned. We also really loved our photobooth (and so did our guests) and Jason sent us a digital copy of all the pictures which was so fun to look through and have for ourselves! We loved working with Jason and his team and can’t thank them enough for all they did to make our wedding day so special!! -

I don't even know where to begin with how wonderful Jason is - he truly made our wedding the party we always dreamed it would be. From start to finish, Jason was so wonderful to work with. He is so professional, had awesome creative ideas (including an AWESOME new edison bulb lighting backdrop behind our sweetheart table!) We provided Jason our listing of must play songs and do not play songs, and he could not have done a better job with putting it all together and all of the other music that came in between. Wonderful DJ’s!
There aren’t enough kind words to say about Jason & John from Dawson Entertainment! I plan weddings for a living, so I have had the pleasure of working with both of them over the last 5+ years. When the time came for my husband and I to choose a DJ for our wedding, we didn’t even consider anyone else. Jason and John are two of the most hardworking, professional people I have ever met. Not to mention, I have never seen a wedding with an empty dance floor when they’re DJing (our wedding included). John knew exactly what to play at all times. Plus my whole family has somewhat difficult names to pronounce for intros and John didn’t miss a beat! We chose a package that included up lighting and a photo booth from them- both of which were amazing! The room looked elegant and the mirror photo booth was so much fun for everyone! Choosing Dawson Entertainment for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. They made it so easy to choose and communicate which songs we did (and didn't) want played at our wedding. Jason did an incredible job at our wedding. I have very high standards and was definitely impressed.

He took our many suggestions, including special ethnic, religious, and foreign language songs we wanted to incorporate and even offered to bring an extension cord for our cocktail hour band. He provided microphones for our ceremony and special lighting as well.
Everything at the wedding was perfect and seamless - both the music and the MC'ing/event flow. He achieved the perfect balance between following our music selections and injecting his own artistic flavor - blending songs of a similar style together, working in special songs we requested, perfectly reading the energy of the room, and even helping our guests find their lost glasses and hotel room keys :) His MC'ing was also excellent - elegant and flexible to the event flow.
Then, upon getting home, my husband and I were very touched to receive a surprise gift from Jason (if you hire him, you'll find out what it is)

Hiring Jason for our wedding was a no-brainer. My husband used to work in the nightclub industry for BGNE and knew Jason from that world. We knew we wanted a DJ that could get everyone up and dancing all night. Jason played to our guests perfectly. Our guests and family said it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to. The first sets were a mix of oldies and classics that got our parents, their friends and our friends up and having fun. Then he transitioned to more upbeat, dancing music. The biggest difference I noticed in Jason vs. other wedding DJ’s or bands was the transitions. Jason, being a nightclub DJ knew how to create transitions that kept everyone dancing and energized. The transitions were what you would hear and expect at an awesome nightclub. I also highly recommend the photobooth! It was so fun and a great extra guest book to have at the end of the night. Everyone had a blast taking photos and I love we get to look back on them. -

As ballroom dancers, our wedding music was always going to be a BIG deal to us. We also have many non-ballroom dancers (though certainly no less enthusiastic), so blending these two groups was top of mind when planning. Dawson Entertainment quelled any fears we might have had and absolutely delivered on all fronts! From our pre-wedding prep meetings, to the ceremony music, to our first dance, to our dollar dance, to the opening of the dance floor Jason seamlessly guided us as MC throughout the night, and some of his song transitions could only be described as ‘inspired’. Multiple guests came up to us throughout the night to compliment our choice of DJ - the music was a clear highlight.
