  The best dj

  Jason was the BEST DJ, throughout the planning process we had told him our goal was to get the most amount of people on the dance floor all night. He definitely delivered, we had guests of all different age groups tell us how much they loved the music and how well the DJ did. Jason was so organized, we had filled out an Excel sheet with all of the details of the day and included some of our must play songs. Jason hit the mark for all of the songs we were hoping to hear throughout cocktail hour, dinner, and the reception. Jason was also the MC for the night introducing all of our bridal party and events throughout the night (speeches, cake cutting, bouquet toss, pictures, etc), and his timing and attention to detail was perfect. Jason also provided the music and microphones for the ceremony, I have been to weddings where it is difficult to hear those speaking throughout the ceremony or during speeches; this was not the case, the sound system was crystal clear. Dawson Entertainment and Jason were perfect, and I would recommend them to everyone!

  An Outstanding DJ

  One thing I appreciate in working with somebody is their organization. Jason shines in this department: he sent us an excel sheet with every possible consideration a couple would want from a DJ! It asked us for must-play songs, songs NOT to play, age range of guests, whether we wanted a slow dance, whether we had a spotify playlist or not, etc. On top of this, Jason was easy to work with over the phone. All this combined to make an unforgettable night of dancing. Jason is clearly skilled at sensing what the crowd is feeling, while also being receptive to in-the-moment feedback. His sound system is great too - I like my parties loud and Jason came through. Something small that may not matter to most but made a big difference to me is that Jason knew exactly when to use his platform. Instead of being the club DJ who says "are we having a good time?!" Jason lets the music do the talking at the reception. And he's quick on his feet too: he responded to a musical cue hinted at by the maid of honor, which got a laugh out of everybody and is a testament to his sharpness.
  
  We elected to go with two additional services offered by Jason which I want to mention here. The club lighting was great in augmenting the vibe of the dance floor. I believe it made it much easier for people to cut loose. The photo booth was also a huge success. Our guests loved it, and the photo book signed by them is lasting evidence of that. It's a great add-on for couples looking to have a unique wedding favor. I do caution that it is is inevitably going to draw some people from the dance floor, so be sure to time it well.
  
  Above all this, there's one thing that sets DJ JD apart for me: he made a custom mix between two songs for my mother-son dance. I gave him a pretty vague request and he came back with a perfectly engineered tearjerker that was exactly what my mother wanted. This level of service is what you can expect from Jason and why you would be lucky to have him play your wedding.

  Would recommend to anyone who wants a full dance floor!!

  TJ Powers w/ Dawson Entertainment was worth every penny! From the beginning of the planning process, he was easy to communicate with, professional & organized! He is very experienced & it showed in the planning process when we had asked for advice. We loved how organized he was with a spreadsheet of our songs/dances/schedules. He didn't miss a beat! Our dance floor was full all night & we got so many compliments. He wasn't just a plain ol wedding DJ, this guy was mixing music on the spot! He was so great & we have already given his contact info to some of our friends!

  You won't be able to leave the dance floor!

  Jason is absolutely amazing. He was so organized when we first started working together - he gave us a document he wanted us to fill out that was so incredibly helpful. We actually attended a wedding where Jason was the DJ about two months before our own wedding. We had a fantastic time at both weddings, yet they were different from each other. Jason's ability to adapt to what the bride and groom want really makes it so special and unique. We received so many compliments on our choice of DJ. Our friends are still saying great things weeks later. We also had Dawson Entertainment do our lighting, and it was so beautiful. I highly recommend Jason and Dawson Entertainment for any sort of even you may have!

  Best DJ Ever!

  TJ from Dawson Entertainment not only met but exceeded our expectations. He was instrumental in making our wedding day an absolute blast. If you're looking for a DJ who will create an atmosphere where fun and celebration are at the forefront, TJ is your guy.   Outstanding experience - Dj JD is an expert at his craft

  Dawson Entertainment (Jason) came highly recommended to us by our wedding planner. When we were starting to discuss vendors, our wedding planner asked us some basic questions about what we were thinking about for music/audio/lighting. Once we decided that we wanted a DJ and not a live band and told her we had some songs we definitely wanted played but also trusted our DJ to do what he/she does best, she said, “Jason’s your guy. I can give you a list of some other DJs I recommend, but this is your DJ.” Given our great relationship with our planner, we said, “Great, Jason it is!”
  
  
  We met over Zoom before signing our contract, and we immediately felt a good vibe. Jason is down-to-earth, easy to have a conversation with, and clearly very knowledgeable — and passionate — about his craft. He made sure we were able to ask him any questions we had about his style, etc., but he also made sure to ask us about our needs and what we were looking for. It was a great match.
  
  
  Some time before the wedding, Jason sent us a planning sheet to fill out, which covered everything from music selections for different parts of the day (cocktail hour, dinner, reception), must-play songs, songs for special dances (i.e. mother-daughter dance during the reception), etc. We also gave him information about our musical preferences and specific songs we liked in order for him to get a feel for our styles. He asked specifically about the age demographics of our guests to ensure that all generations were able to enjoy the music, which was thoughtful! After completing our form, we met a couple weeks out from our wedding day to walk through the form, hammer out any final details (mic stand placement, lighting details, etc.).
  Which leads into one of the highlights of our experience working with Jason. Jason’s audio setup for the ceremony was absolutely incredible. All ~150 of our guests were able to hear the ceremony and vows crystal clear, so clear in fact that it was a problem when I started reading my vows. I was crying and acutely aware of how much I was sniffling. Not wanting to wipe away any makeup, I kept sniffling — and now my husband was, too — and I said, “I’m sorry, is there any way we can cut the mic so I can blow my nose?” Everyone laughed, but seriously, no one likes to hear someone sniffle when they could just blow their nose. Jason cut the audio so seamlessly. As soon as the tissue was away, the mic was back on. And, a few minutes later, he did the same thing, this time unprompted, when the tears started rolling again.
  
  
  In the grand scheme of our entire wedding day, this was a small moment. But, we were so surprised at just how many of our guests later commented on Jason’s audio work during the ceremony. They could hear our vows! He cut the audio while we sniffled and blew our noses! They were impressed, and so were we, and it was a funny moment that we’ll cherish for a long time.
  
  
  Jason did an excellent job of balancing between playing songs we wanted to hear and reading what was vibing with our guests, especially during the reception. Cocktail hour and dinner music were great. Our wedding venue was unique in that the dining rooms are split between two ballrooms. Jason set up speakers in each room and played the dinner music at the perfect volume — just loud enough for people to hear and set the mood, but not too loud where people had trouble talking to neighbors at their table. This also helped when we announced after-dinner speeches on the patio outside, which helped our guests make their way out of the ballrooms. And, for the few guests who were engrossed in conversation at their tables or weren’t ready to go outside, they could hear the speeches from their dinner table through the speakers.
  
  
  Jason is so passionate and talented at his craft. He was clearly enjoying himself without wanting to be in the spotlight or narrate the night. He made announcements as necessary (dinner being served, transportation back to hotels, etc.). He was detail-oriented and thoughtful throughout the entire experience.
  
  
  We could not recommend Jason enough. Jason really was the DJ for us! If you have the opportunity to work with him, you won’t be disappointed.

  Surpassed our expectations!

  Holy cow did we luck out with TJ and Dawson Entertainment. We LOVED working with you them and feel so lucky that we had such an amazing DJ to make our event unforgettable. Everyone came up to us all night and said “it is so hard to find a good DJ these days”. You all really set yourselves apart with how much you work with the couple, getting to know us and our style of music so that the night flowed so well. We heard raving reviews all night long and knew we had chosen right. TJ, we are forever grateful that you made the night what it was. Fun and memorable!!

  The absolute best!

  Dawson Entertainment truly made our wedding! We used the bistro lighting that was so different from any other wedding lighting I had seen. We are still getting compliments. We had TJ as our DJ for the reception and he was perfect!!! I didn’t want to leave the dance floor for a second (I ended up not doing my outfit change because I didn’t want to miss the dancing). Everyone was out of their seats the entire evening. It was incredible!!

  Dawson Entertainment truly made our wedding! We used the bistro lighting that was so different from any other wedding lighting I had seen. We are still getting compliments.   Kept guests on the dance floor all night

  We’d like to thank TJ and everyone with Dawson Entertainment for everything! The planning process was very organized and easy to complete, by way of a google sheet. TJ was also very responsive and helpful throughout the process. On the big day, the music was exactly what we had hoped for and was expertly mixed. Guests had an absolute blast. In addition, the Photo Booth was a highlight and we look forward to enjoying those pictures for years to come! Highly recommend for everything from lighting to DJ to Photo Booth!!

  The wedding DJ GOAT

  Dawson Entertainment was essential in making our wedding day the most perfect day we could have ever imagined. The music and atmosphere were EXACTLY what we wanted and more. It was an extreme pleasure to work with Jason. Being so detail oriented, he tailored all of our music to ensure everybody stayed on the dance floor all night long and that our ceremony would be the best it could be. We were also incredibly happy with the lighting, the hanging of our neon sign, and the photo booth. We cannot express how grateful we are to have entrusted Jason for our big day and I am sure it will be one of your best decisions too. PS: We asked Jason to play 60% reggaeton during the reception and he absolutely delivered. It was the most perfect mix of reggaeton, hip hop, pop, house and R & B. Just wanted to share that if you are looking for a DJ that can mix reggaeton while also delivering with great rock and country (also requested by us for dinner), look no further than Jason and his team at Dawson Entertainment

  Jason, Angela and the Entertainment Production team were the only choice when it came to our DJ vendor for our wedding. JD was very organized from the start and communicative. Their overall professionalism and ability to personalize was phenomenal. The music was perfect and got sooooo many compliments from fellow music lovers and dancers on how great the night's mix was. On the dance floor all night! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

  Choosing Jason from Dawson Entertainment to DJ our wedding was the best decision we made!!! From the start, the entire process was simple and organized. Jason truly listened to everything we wanted and delivered that and more! Our guests are still raving about how amazing our DJ was and how we was so much more than just an ordinary “wedding DJ.” Jason is the best of the best! Hire him and he’ll have the dance floor packed all night long!

  John is fantastic. You can't go wrong with him.

  DJ John from Dawson Entertainment was professional, easy to work with, and helpful at every stage. He had a fantastic sense for the music we love, and kept the energy up the entire night. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The chants at the end of the night ("DJ DJ DJ!") said it all. John truly created a fantastic celebration. I couldn't recommend him any more highly.

  "Best DJ around!!"

  My husband and I got married 8/18/23 (I know a little late to the leave a revjew, but we couldn't not leave DJ JD a review!) and we are still hearing about how much fun everyone had at our wedding! All the compliments going back to how awesome our DJ was! We knew the second we got engaged that we wanted Jason as our DJ. He was the first vendor we reached out to after we set our date at the venue, and we were ecstatic to hear Jason was available. We've heard nothing but great things about Dawson Entertainment, but heard even greater things about DJ JD. My husband is a huge music guy and we knew we needed someone that we trusted and knew could do what we asked, which is exactly was Jason did. He answered all our questions, fulfilled all our requests, and even had a specific song that he was able to edit out the audience in the background of a live song! And it was exactly what we wanted!! Without my husband asking or hinting at, Jason gave my husband a mic so he could belt out some Bon Jovi !! We couldn't have been happier and wish we could have more parties just to have DJ JD play for us!!!

  John was great!

  We had John from Dawsons Entertainment DJ our wedding in August 2023. John was absolutely amazing! He read the crowd perfectly and kept the dance floor packed all night long. He was also very accommodating as we had specific songs we wanted played for each part of the evening. We heard tons of compliments and a friend even hired him after our wedding! We would highly recommend John to anyone looking for a great wedding DJ.

  The BEST DJ and Entertainment Company!

  Jason exceeded all of our wedding day expectations from start to finish. We loved that his company included both photobooth and lighting in addition to the DJ services so that it was less vendors overall to communicate with throughout the wedding planning process. Jason was very professional throughout and was very prompt in communicating with us. He is a truly an exceptional DJ and every single one of our guests complimented the music on our wedding day. We had multiple guests tell us that if they could've continued partying all night they would've never left the dance floor! He did an excellent job understanding our musical preferences and creating a great list of music to keep the crowd engaged all night. Our guests loved the photobooth at the venue and we much appreciated the physical photo guestbook we received at the end of the night and the digital photos afterwards. I would highly recommend Jason as a wedding vendor!

  Great people, beautiful lighting!

  While we only used Dawson Entertainment for lights, they were fantastic to work with. The only reason we didn’t use them for DJ-ing is because we already committed to another one, but otherwise totally would have considered them! Jason is super responsive and patient with any changes that we wanted to make ahead of our wedding. They offer fair pricing, a wide variety of services, and do a great job when it comes to event day! Would recommend them for all weddings and definitely work with them again.

  Dance All Night Long

  Dawson Entertainment provided the party and was a joy to work with. We had TJ as our DJ for our wedding in June 2023 and from the moment we spoke with him on the phone we knew we were going to have a great time.

  Can’t say enough about Jason! Being the third couple in our group of friends to use him at our wedding, he still blew our expectations out of the water! He was an amazing to work with, professional, calm, organized… the list can go on! He had the whole room on the dance floor! Highly highly recommend !!!

  Having seen hundreds of incredible reviews, we had HIGH expectations for Jason Dawson, and yet he still managed to absolutely blow us away and exceed every single one. He is NEXT LEVEL. We were impressed from the very start by his level of organization, communication & kindness, which persisted throughout the entire planning process, and made it so easy and stress-free for us!
  
  We knew we had hired a good one but we had no idea just how insanely talented he truly is. He curated the most immaculate playlist and absolutely nailed every single mix - never in my life have I seen a dancefloor more lively, especially at a wedding!   Jason and his team were flat out amazing. I could not imagine a more organized DJ .Throughout the planning process, Jason was responsive and communicative. He had every last detail and song request on a Google sheet that we could use throughout the planning process. As a very detail-oriented bride, this was invaluable. I never worried about a thing as we prepared for the wedding. Then, when it got to the actual day - Jason through the BEST party, with a setlist that perfectly matched our guests. He seamlessly weaved in all of our favorite songs throughout the night and kept the dance floor going for hours. Since our wedding, many guests have complimented the "vibe" of our wedding as being one of the best - we owe the VAST majority of that compliment to Jason. Also, his photobooth attendant was super nice and made sure the kids at our wedding had a blast with the props. There's no need to think twice about booking Dawson Entertainment. The feedback has been electric, from "that was the best wedding ever" to "you guys throw a heck of a party" and more. Dawson didn't miss a beat.
