Service depends on location
I went to David's Bridal in Deptford NJ twice and had very different experiences. The first time was in June of 2021 with my mom, we were looking for mother of the brides outfits. I called and made an appointment, the sales girl on the phone was very friendly. However when we walked in later that day for the appointment we were greeted by a sales associated that seemed like we were bothering her. she asked why were there and I told her we were looking for an outfit for mom for my wedding. she told us by pointing to the wall that the mothers outfits are over there. You can pick what you would like and go back to the dressing room and someone will let you in. They had a great selection of dresses and pants suits that my mom liked. We picked out a few things and walked back to the dressing room, where there were several sales associates working with brides and bridal parties. We stood there for several minutes and no one ever came over to us. Finally I was able to catch someone to let us into a dressing room. No one offered to help my mom or get her anything in a different size or color. We ended up leaving and finding her outfit at another shop. I then ended up taking my future mother in-law there in Jan 2022. And the sales associates seemed more helpful however this time they did not have a very good selection of sizes or colors. My mother in-law picked out a few things and we walked back to the dressing room area where someone stopped right away and let us in. However again no one came over to check on us or see if we needed anything in different sizes or colors. She did find something that she liked and purchased it. However when she took it back for alterations she said that the seamstress was not friendly and they way over charged for hemming her pants.
Now I also visited the the Christiana Mall DE location to shop for bridesmaid dresses(my bridal party was spilt up in several different states). I was nervous after the awful time my mom and I had at the Deptford NJ location. But the DE location was great, they all were so helpful and friendly. We visited on a very busy Saturday in Oct 2021, the sales associate listened to what I was looking for and helped us pick out several different style dresses that came in the color I wanted. My two bridesmaids were helped while trying them on, the sales girl went and grabbed other sizes and styles for them. I was able to take the time to do a Facetime call with my Maid of Honor who could not fly in for the shopping trip and we all picked a style that the girls liked. The sales girl told us that I would have a profile set up so my maid of honor could go to her local store and they would be able to pull the dresses we picked for her to try on and order the one that she liked the best. She also told me about the rewards program and signed me up so my bridal party could save some money off of their dresses. We were told that due to COVID the dresses could take up to 6 months to come in but to our surprise all of the girls dresses all came in with in two months. And they shipped them their dresses free of charge to their homes. I was blown away at how different our experience was, had my mom and I gone to this location for her dress she would have made her purchase there for sure.
