Daniel was very willing to work with my budget and went above and beyond to be present for an extended time. Payment was easy and he was communicative throughout the process. I can't wait to get the photos back soon!

Where do I even start? Daniel is truly spectacular. When my now-husband and I got engaged in late 2019, we had no idea what 2020 would have in store for us. We spent the early part of the year planning our 150+ person wedding in Old San Juan, PR. As I'm sure you can guess, we ultimately had to scrap those plans and ended up getting married with 25 of our closest friends and family down the street from our house in the Houston Heights.

With the recommendation of another friend of mine, I contacted Daniel to capture our special day, and man, did he ever. He made us feel extremely comfortable during portraits/photoshoots, and after that, he was like a ninja with a camera. Even though there were only 25 folks there, he made himself blend seamlessly into the environment and shot amazing candid photos.

In addition to being an extremely talented photographer, Daniel is also kind, funny, and humble. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him.

I recognized Daniel's name from a friend's engagement pics (which were absolutely stunning) when I saw his stand at a venue open house. After like 2 minutes of talking to him, I decided that I needed to make sure he was available before choosing my wedding date because he was incredibly cool and kind and so fun to just have a conversation with (keep in mind this was several weeks before I was even engaged). After booking Daniel, he set up a time to meet me, my fiancé, and my family for coffee to just get to know us to be able to create a personalized experience before he even drafted a contract. He tailored everything specifically to what was most important to us, and, even more than just for photography's sake, he seemed genuinely interested in getting to know us as people.
Our engagement session was a BLAST. My fiancé and I were a bit wary of getting photographed, but the second the session started, we were both at ease. Daniel made the experience so simple and so fun. He was cracking jokes with us and trying fun stylistic things, and we all really enjoyed the session. He gave us a TON of incredible shots to choose from our engagements.
My bridal session went so well. Taking pics around my venue with Daniel was like hanging out with a friend and I just happened to be in a wedding dress. He got some beautiful pictures of me, but he made sure to capture some more fun, relaxed ones that captured my personality better.
Having Daniel there as our wedding photographer day of was wonderful. He was such a bro and got a lot of good pre-wedding content. Post-ceremony portraits were quick and efficient, which we super appreciated. We just received our wedding photos back about a week ago and, MAN OH MAN, Daniel did not hold back. I ended up posting 1600+ pictures to Facebook (not sorry), and that was after narrowing it down to my favorites.
Yes, Daniel Colvin Photography may be a bit pricier than some other popular photographers, but he is absolutely worth it. A lot of wedding day choices only matter the day of, but years from now, these pictures are what I'll have to look back on, and Daniel captured our day perfectly. (I am also eagerly awaiting our hand-crafted wedding story album). 10/10 photographer, 10/10 guy, 10/10 friend

Daniel was a pleasure to work with for our engagement shoot. Although Daniel is Houston-based, he's willing to travel worldwide and we were thrilled to work with him in Colorado. His photography speaks for itself. We "met" virtually and instantly could feel his passion for capturing love. When it came time for the actual shoot, his instincts took over to guide us along the way to capture some amazing shots. He never wanted to stage anything, which can feel unnatural. He was able to make us feel comfortable while getting our photos taken, something we didn't have much experience with prior. Daniel and I were instant best friends. He made me feel so at ease with the whole process and tailored his skills to exactly what I wanted. Going into wedding planning, a good photographer was at the top of my list of must haves, and let’s just say, Daniel delivered!! His ability to capture the raw emotion, personality, and uniqueness of individuals in unparalleled. Daniel shot our engagements, my bridals, and our wedding, which was so special because he got to be there through the entire journey and capture it all. When we look back at all of our photos, they are so so special because he didn’t just capture the moments in time, but he captured US! Everything about my husband and I that makes us special is forever in our photos. We have been married for a little over a year now, and we look back through our photos all the time and every time it brings us right back. Seriously, tears every time.

Not only is he insanely talented but he is also a seasoned vet that will make the entire process stress free. Not once did I have to worry about anything. (Which says A LOT coming from a classic Type A personality). He knows all the right questions to ask and will always be on your side when it comes to making sure you get the photos that you want – not that everyone else wants or expects. Plus, shooting with him is a BLAST! My husband and I were so nervous right before our engagement session and Daniel made us feel so comfortable and natural. You won’t even feel like you’re in the middle of a photo session.
