I would highly recommend Daniel of Daniel Colvin Photography for your wedding photography needs. Daniel was extremely thorough in his preparation of getting to know myself the bride and the groom - making sure from the very first call that he understood our background, relationship, and what was most important to us in a photographer. Daniel was very willing to work with my budget and went above and beyond to be present for an extended time. Payment was easy and he was communicative throughout the process. I can't wait to get the photos back soon! -

Where do I even start? Daniel is truly spectacular. When my now-husband and I got engaged in late 2019, we had no idea what 2020 would have in store for us. We spent the early part of the year planning our 150+ person wedding in Old San Juan, PR. As I'm sure you can guess, we ultimately had to scrap those plans and ended up getting married with 25 of our closest friends and family down the street from our house in the Houston Heights.
With the recommendation of another friend of mine, I contacted Daniel to capture our special day, and man, did he ever. He made us feel extremely comfortable during portraits/photoshoots, and after that, he was like a ninja with a camera. Even though there were only 25 folks there, he made himself blend seamlessly into the environment and shot amazing candid photos.
In addition to being an extremely talented photographer, Daniel is also kind, funny, and humble. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him. -

I recognized Daniel's name from a friend's engagement pics (which were absolutely stunning) when I saw his stand at a venue open house. After like 2 minutes of talking to him, I decided that I needed to make sure he was available before choosing my wedding date because he was incredibly cool and kind and so fun to just have a conversation with (keep in mind this was several weeks before I was even engaged). After booking Daniel, he set up a time to meet me, my fiancé, and my family for coffee to just get to know us to be able to create a personalized experience before he even drafted a contract. He tailored everything specifically to what was most important to us, and, even more than just for photography's sake, he seemed genuinely interested in getting to know us as people.
Our engagement session was a BLAST. My fiancé and I were a bit wary of getting photographed, but the second the session started, we were both at ease. Daniel made the experience so simple and so fun. He was cracking jokes with us and trying fun stylistic things, and we all really enjoyed the session. He gave us a TON of incredible shots to choose from our engagements.
My bridal session went so well. Taking pics around my venue with Daniel was like hanging out with a friend and I just happened to be in a wedding dress. He got some beautiful pictures of me, but he made sure to capture some more fun, relaxed ones that captured my personality better.
Having Daniel there as our wedding photographer day of was wonderful. He was such a bro and got a lot of good pre-wedding content. Post-ceremony portraits were quick and efficient, which we super appreciated. We just received our wedding photos back about a week ago and, MAN OH MAN, Daniel did not hold back. I ended up posting 1600+ pictures to Facebook (not sorry), and that was after narrowing it down to my favorites.
Yes, Daniel Colvin Photography may be a bit pricier than some other popular photographers, but he is absolutely worth it. A lot of wedding day choices only matter the day of, but years from now, these pictures are what I'll have to look back on, and Daniel captured our day perfectly. (I am also eagerly awaiting our hand-crafted wedding story album). 10/10 photographer, 10/10 guy, 10/10 friend -

Incredible wedding photographer!
Daniel and I were instant best friends. He made me feel so at ease with the whole process and tailored his skills to exactly what I wanted. I personally wanted an old Hollywood classic vibe and he DELIVERED! We are beyond obsessed with our engagement and wedding photos and will cherish these forever and ever. I can’t wait to show these photos to our children and grandchildren! Daniel is the absolute best and I will recommend him to anyone and everyone! -

I am so grateful Daniel was a part of our wedding experience and recommend him to everyone I know that is starting their journey to marriage! Choosing Daniel to be our photographer was hands down the BEST decision we made for our wedding (other than marrying my husband of course!) He did our engagement shoot, bridals, and wedding ceremony and was there with us every step of the way. Within the first few minutes of meeting Daniel, we knew he was the one to capture our most special moments of our engagement and our big day.
His outgoing and personable personality makes you feel like you are around a friend and keeps you comfortable and confident in front of the camera. He is the best director and has such an artistic eye for things that you don't even think about until you see the stunning final images. His work is beyond amazing and he gives you something that no one else can - he captures the most important and beautiful moments that create memories for a lifetime.
3 years later, I still look at Daniel's photos he took for us and am just as amazed by the beauty of the final products as I was when I first saw them all. I love getting to relive the moments through pictures and remember all of the small details that you tend to forget about or even miss amongst the chaos that is your wedding day. He has such a talent and I am so thankful we found him and took advantage of all of the different options he had to offer for us. He tailored each and every shoot to exactly what we wanted and made our visions a reality and better than we ever expected! -

Unparalleled Storyteller
Like many couples who had wedding plans in 2020, our planning hit an abrupt stop with the onset of the pandemic. In addition to how overwhelming wedding planning felt, even without a pandemic, we had to grapple with the uncertainty of what the future held and how to get married safely. It isn't easy to put words around what Daniel's work means to my husband, Kyle, and me.
We decided to get married a few months earlier than expected with just our immediate families. Daniel was one of the few vendors we had booked when we decided to adjust our plans, and he could not have been more accommodating and supportive. He went above and beyond his job description as our photographer. When we queued him in on the changes, he spent over an hour on the phone with me, hashing out the ceremony's new vision. Daniel was attentive to our thoughts and emotions and how he could capture our wedding, especially with this unexpected twist.
On the day of the wedding, he far surpassed our expectations. We are not a couple that is comfortable in front of the camera, so the experience of being photographed throughout the day was foreign to us. Daniel was so stealthy during the ceremony that we almost forgot he was there (mind you, we were in a small room with ~10 people). After the ceremony, Daniel took our portraits as newlyweds. Daniel skillfully directed us to different areas and posed us so naturally that it didn't feel like uncomfortable, goofy wedding photos. He made us feel at ease, and the process was insanely fun. We busted out into genuine laughter more times than I can remember because of the ridiculous banter. In addition to the traditional wedding portraits you typically see, I wanted to have a few more artistic or unusual photos - Daniel delivered. He brought a unique perspective to the areas we were shooting and identified props we might not have thought of using otherwise (e.g., a massive bird of paradise plant). He created unexpected moments that lead to breathtaking photos.
When we got our photos, I was stunned because they were more than I could have imagined. Kyle and I spent hours smiling and reminiscing. My mom cried when she saw the photos because of how beautiful they were, and the pictures brought back all the emotions she felt on that day. My mother-in-law felt the same way and commented that Daniel captured every single moment she remembered from that day.
I could rave forever about how happy we are with our photos and the entire process. Daniel is professional, considerate, and overall great person to spend time around. He crafted a bespoke experience from the proposal to the gallery that made this process feel even more special. It is evident Daniel does what he loves, and he is a storyteller above all else. I could not recommend Daniel more and can't wait for him to photograph our vow renewal with our larger group of family and friends in a year.
TLDR: Hire Daniel - it will be one of the best decisions you make, and he is worth every single penny. He is an artist and meticulous professional with an easygoing vibe. -

TRUST ME AND JUST USE DANIEL COLVIN!!!!! My wedding was the most beautiful day of my life and hands down the best decision I made (other than marrying my best friend) was hiring Daniel as our photographer! First of all, he was immediately family! We were so comfortable with him and it was just easy - he knows exactly what he's doing and he's so laid back and loving! Second, his pictures are STUNNING, STRAIGHT OUT OF A MAGAZINE, SHUT YOUR MOUTH SO GOOD! After the wedding was over, he invited my husband and I over to "reveal" the photos, where he had created a slide-show to music, and provided all of our favorite snacks while we cried and viewed our photos. My friends loved him and we had so much fun on the big day! He even pranked my fiance during our engagement photo with an idea him and I came up with together and it was one of the funniest moments ever, and ened up turning into the greatest picture!! I will cherish these pictures FOREVER and I will cherish how special he made us feel! WE LOVE YOU DANIEL!!!! -

I truly do not have the words to adequately describe the talent of Daniel Colvin. Not to mention, he’s also a super awesome guy! I had a feeling I’d like him when I initially contacted him, but my husband and I were sold after meeting him for an extended lunch. Never once did he push us, and he even managed to convince me that I didn’t need the second photographer I was set on. True life- hire Daniel Colvin and you won’t! He is down to earth, funny, and super relaxed; everything you’re going to need on your wedding day. For the most part, I completely forgot he was even there on the day of. Don’t worry though, he was and I have AMAZING photographs to prove it! Daniel came over for dinner and a preview party where he put together a slideshow of the day and had samples to assist us with our order. It was such a personalized and special touch to be able to view our photographs like that for the first time, and a huge help to have his assistance in deciding what were the best options for us. My husband and I couldn’t believe that we were looking at OUR wedding photos. We received over 1,200 photos and every. single. one. of them was beautiful. The hardest part of the entire process was choosing the 15% we wanted in our album! I feel so blessed that these are the photographs that will forever represent one of the biggest days of our lives, and I can’t wait to show them to our great-grandchildren 50 years from now. Do yourself a favor- go ahead and hire Daniel. You will be so grateful you did. -

Daniel Colvin is amazing at what he does and will exceed your expectations. Just hire the man, you will not be disappointed. We love our pictures, everyone we've shown them to raves about how beautiful they are.
Good photography was a pretty high priority for our engagement, bridals and wedding day pictures. Photos are really the only piece you are able to keep of the whole day, besides your memories. As soon as I saw Daniel's website I knew his style was what I was hoping & looking for. I loved the candid moments he captured and the use of natural lighting. It just seemed like I could feel the love the couples had for one another through his photos. It's true, what he captures is truly authentic, my fiancé and I felt even more connected after taking our engagement pictures with Daniel.
My fiancé and I both feel like we are just not photogenic people, but Daniel showed us that we actually are. I love so many of the pictures he took of us. We have so many to choose from, which is never the case for me usually.
Daniel went above and beyond for us throughout this whole process. He was not available to take our wedding day pictures (I was a little late with booking vendors), but instead of just saying he was unavailable and good luck, Daniel provided me with a well thought out list of photographers who he personally recommended and knew and who were also available for our date. I couldn't believe he did that for me, he really didn't have to at all.
I'm just so happy we got to work with Daniel and I look forward to booking him again for all our future photo needs! -

He knows what shots look good, and doesn't need any ideas to show his creativity and artistry through photography. I booked my bridal portraits as well as the smallest wedding package with him and he did not disappoint. Every photo was different, fun, and unique. Every emotion from both days was captured perfectly! Additionally, Daniel is so laid back and he works well with everyone. Don't worry about feeling awkward or like your day is invaded by a photographer, Daniel blends in during special moments but also knows how to organize group photos. I had so much fun working with him, you will not regret your decision! Just don't forget that professional photos take time, so be patient.

We loved the highlight reel he put together for us. We loved the way he handled the prewedding, wedding, and reception, and we felt like his presence at the wedding / ceremony was a very welcome one. Our guests all loved him too. For a dude walking around taking pictures for 12 hours, he did a great job maintaining his composure and staying upbeat. He does a fantastic job of avoiding the super posey pictures, and focuses on capturing moments at just the right time. I've seen other people's wedding albums on Facebook and none of them have come close to what Daniel offered us. I highly, highly recommend Daniel for your wedding photography needs.

Daniel is very personal, professional, loves getting to know you and making you feel completely comfortable. He has an outstanding eye for location/lighting and gives direction in a relaxed but purposed way. I literally cried happy tears when I went through the photos, all of them were so perfect! Sometimes I can't believe that these are MY wedding photos. Thank you, Daniel! You are amazing!

As a person, Daniel is super laid back, funny and friendly and he genuinely made the effort to get to know Stuart and I during the time we spent with him. He has a way about him that just makes you feel like you've known him for years and made us so comfortable to be with. He knows how awkward some photos can be lol but he coaches you through it like a real champ! We had a big, fat, Greek wedding and he seemed to breeze through it all. I would recommend him over and over again! Just plan a meet and greet with him and you'll know exactly what we mean!

Hiring Daniel was easily the best money I spent on my entire wedding. Photos are one of the only things about a wedding that you spend money on and actually get to KEEP, and I must say that I will continue to look at our wedding photos for the rest of time. Reliving the day through Daniel's camera was so mesmerizing and emotional and beautiful! He captured the exact mood, romance, emotion, love, happiness, excitement - everything that I wanted in my wedding photos. They came out so stunning, and Daniel does such an amazing job with posing you and creating the moment. You don't even realize he's there taking photos - that's how comfortable he makes you feel! Take my advice and hire Daniel for any photo needs - he won't disappoint. -
